One quick off-topic question: when you report such posts to moderators, what do you put under the comment? Is it ok to simply write "shitpostng", or should you give a little more explanation?

All my reports are justified by an appropriate comment, reflecting the problem. Basically, based on Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ, I am writing comments like "Breaking rule 2. No off-topic posts." / "Breaking rule 32. Posting multiple posts in a row" and so on. Even for these spam there is a rule - more important, the very first rule of the forum - "1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads". In this case, sometimes I comment the reports with "Breaking rule 1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads" or I simply write "Zero-value post".

After a long day of "report spree" I reported all the spam from the topics mentioned above by FatFork and keyscore44 -- 912 reported posts in total. Whoa Smiley Like in old good days. Sadly, I did not have so much time for making reports lately, but I believe I'll have a more free period in next days thus I'll return to my "old habits" Smiley

that's how Vitor Services are doing it, which are big far the biggest thread bumping providers

I see that Vitor Services is still up and running. I'll do again all I can to limit their impact.

Nice work, I will add those threads shortly.

Rikafip, all the topics mentioned in OP are still active? I'm asking to know on which one to jump next Smiley

It looks like bumping services are more gentle now. They used to spam 5 or more posts a day, now there is less. Or this version of the service has been ordered.

Self moderated thread and almost the entire thread are fresh accounts with short and typical comments.

It's probably the latter, their activity depends on the package you buy. At least that's how Vitor Services are doing it, which are by far the biggest thread bumping providers. This is how their packages look like.

Rickafip, I found a few more candidates to add to your list:
The same newbie accounts are bumping all of these threads as the one I mentioned earlier today.

Nice work, I will add those threads shortly. By the looks of it, it's yet again before mentioned Vitor Services. Those guys are simply unstoppable, kudos on selling their useless thread bumping. Those buying their services have to be completely clueless on how things work around here as that's the only explanation how they manage to keep on going with this.

A couple of newbies are active in bumping this self-moderated thread: [Ann]BlocVault is creating a suite of mobile-based apps for crypto investing! In addition, as I have already reported here, the ANN post contains plagiarized content.

I hope I would be wrong and we observe an increase of interest to forum from new people, but, the appearance of silly topics by newbies make me think they would become shillers in a future.

Today I've noticed, that a bunch of newbies with registration date morning of November 04 created lots of topics in Altcoin Discussion. They have common nicknames - "name + number". That cant be a coincidence.
Check this out:

Helen_1
Marie701
Monica301
Julia205
Eugene8@
Leslie012
Barbra!
Jason06
Keith010
James68
Charles310
Thomas2205
Donald250

We should follow them, as one day they will start to shill some crap.

P.S. I expect more newbie from this shilling farm to create topics today, so the list would be greater.
P.P.S. They wont become bounty hunting farm, because they could have started posting reports directly from creation date.

All of the post (not only those 5) follow however the same pattern: a small text explanation+social media link. But even if it's a pattern, there must be thousands of posts like that in the forum, so what the hell
Yep, those are basically shitposts that doesn't look any better than thousands of others. Just take for example this post by JackieAinsley for which got his merit from Ratimov. In this post he promotes some shitcoin failed project that is allegedly giving Ferrari to one lucky IDO participant.

Now, during the fall of the cryptocurrency market, it is very important to attract attention to yourself so that people notice the project. Here is an example of how to attract attention to yourself - https://dragonbite.medium.com/dragonbite-announces-uniswap-ido-with-a-ferrari-8beebe4f0f13

What's interesting about this DragonBite project that is being promoted in that post is that it has ANN here on bitcointalk, and you can see several other members of that bumping group writing there.

This is even weirder; those 5 got merit from Ratimov in under 9 minutes, for posts written several months before, across 5 different threads. How the hell did he find their posts, since they were so scattered, assuming they didn't apply in merit giveaway thread?

Having seen this post in the past, I thought that the competition is not only in terms of rank but also in the generosity of distribution from sources of merit.
Therefore, it is not surprising to see that the first merit can be easily given to a beginner, thereby being the first in the generosity competition.
But of course, it's just motivation, I understand.  Smiley

Aiming for the first position.
We have seen the algorithm is quite weird in his output, so never say never.

Yes, the algorithm presents surprises, in all respects I should have taken 1st position the month before last, but the formula had other plans in this regard. Well, first position is a good target, just get in line. First, I will take the first position, and then you.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Another bumping service. Yesterday I reported on many of the posts this company makes until I realized it is a farm.
To avoid being discovered, they also write their posts not only in the announcement threads but also on regular topics. But almost all of their messages are one-line shilling.
Nice find. And yeah, those are a little bit better than an average bumping service as they took some effort in appearing like a regular members since they wrote in general threads outside altcoin section, which is something that sock puppet accounts usually don't bother with.

What struck me was that every account, except for one, had one merit. Somehow, magically, they managed to get these merits from Ratimov. Shocked
Hm yeah, that is weird coincidence.  At first I though that maybe they got merit from one of his merit giveaway threads, but I don't see that. For example, Lunafox got merit from Ratimov on July 27th for the post that was written on  March 27th), and I don't see him applying to any merit giveaway thread around that time, or I simply can't find it.

Considering that yesterday about 100 of the messages were deleted by the moderators, I wonder why they could be given merits.  Huh

Hey Rikafip, I've found a few more threads to add to your list that use bumping services:

Since I have a rule that I am not adding threads retroactively (and I see that those two threads are not active anymore), I won't add them to the list. Reason is simple; there are so many threads that were being bumped in the past and if I add each and every I ever come across, list would probably be five times bigger than it is now.

These are just a couple of accounts, but they were registered at the same period, and they just woke up to bump and ANN. I think they are just getting started

ANN - IXFI (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5366808)

Bumping accounts
1. Warison185 (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/warison185-1899706)

2. Medicament (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/medicament-1896484)

Yep, that's how it starts and we can expect more shitposts soon.

Would you guys say this is using a bumping service? Most of the replies are one liner basic/generic questions. Most accounts have close to 0 activity too
Yep, another one that hired bumping. Same accounts that are active in that thread are doing the same in bunch of others as well. These are just a few examples:
[Ann] Passive income with MOONFLIGHT!
[Ann] The first blockchain marketplace for physical goods!
Ann]A decentralized crowdfunding portal for startups, entrepreneurs, businesses

Hey Rikafip, I've found a few more threads to add to your list that use bumping services:

Is this intended for only ANNs using paid bumps, or any altcoin project shilling their name over the forum is counted as such?
Yeah, I  focused on ANN threads that hired bumping service and are doing that inside their own thread.

Should the case be the second, I've come across 2 projects using the same sentence structures with many different accounts promoting (so far) 2 projects:

Bondex
YouClout

I'd normally simply post this Spambusters, but I rather post it somewhere it's going to be seen to try have more eyes on the lookout

Edit: going for the third

Those project are obviously using shillers as well, but  imho this type of "guerrilla marketing" looks much better than standard mindless shilling inside the ANN thread, and might be even effective if done properly, as I've seen similar things in various Telegram groups.

I just found this thread, I've always used the Spambusters one the be reporting this sort of things, but since it has lost a lot of tracking from what it used to be, I rather ask here before keeping on bumping it.
