Since Litecoin has a smaller network and hashrate, it was quick in reaching full consensus. However, that is not the case with Bitcoin, making it harder each day for SegWit to become active on it.
Nevertheless, the approval of SegWit is good for Litecoin as it fixes maleability and expands its capacity to handle more users, possibly becoming used in the mainstream world. Just my opinion.
It's still a million miles away but closer than it was a few weeks or months ago. Unlimited and hard forks in general have been discredited, f2pool are now segwit friendly with btc and ltc will be agonother boost. I believe it's inching closer. But it'll never manage it if the 95 per cent thing stays.
