surely you should invest more than one coin, by minimizing my own risk of investing long term on Eth coins, Eos, Btg, Bch. keep in mind again you should also be wise there in managing your finances in investments to avoid greater losses if conditions worsen.

ICOs are good long term investments, depends on what you are going for. I think the best thing is to avoid scams and rating sites, research and do some homework of your own. My favorites are Liven, Klero, Ubex and Friend. These can gain good in coming times.
Invest in different coins. For example, 60 percent in Ethereum and Bitcoin, and the rest in new coins.

as of now, my opinion slightly changed due to the reasons of being impatient and looking back at the prices of the tokens. this affects my present decision but I also know that I have not yet experienced all. currently waiting till the end of the year to see if holding tokens for a year is better or the same as holding for short term.

I'd rather invest aiming for long term profits, I think day trading is kind of stressful and exhauting but it could bring more profit to you though, long term allows you to focus on other things while the project you invested in develops.

I don’t like long-term hodl much, because it is too risky (it you deal with coins below top 50). If you are sure a project will moon in a couple months - then go ahead, if not- stay away. But who would give you such guarantees?
If some one has plan to invest for long term like for one or two years then choose strong community coins likes TRX,XRP,Ethereum,Bitcoin and hold for long time and get good return.

In my way of thinking, the strongest coins are the best choices for long term investments. For me, neo, ethereum and bitcoin are very reasonable to make an investment for a long term.
