I think long term investments are the most profitable and not very risky. However, investors need to analyze and read much about coins and preferentially select them. For me, I just buy only strong and popular coins and make sure that they are grown in the future, and I just put 70% of my portfolio in long term, other for short term.

If you want choose long term investment you have buy and invest on bitcoin, it will be better than you have invest your money on altcoin or ico becaue is not good for making long term investment. Bitcoin will always exist forever but altcoin or ico is not, some time bad will be happen on ico or altcoin, like SEC regulation for ico project form United State and scam project on altcoin. I don't like to invest in the long term because the movement of money in the crypto world is very volatile.
I prefer daily trading compared to long term investment, but this is just my opinion.

Interesting perspective I tend to agree because unless your in BTC or other top coins it is very risky and the prices could plummet in a second so it may be good to take profits short term
