It is very difficult to predict the behavior of the crypto currency, making predictions about the future price is a very difficult task. But based on some news from respected sources it is possible to make assumptions about the price, but it works at the forecast for a long period of time.

My portfolio is 40% btc and 60% altcoins when market is quite but when market start to go bullish I invest 90% of my btc to altcoins because we are here to earn more bitcoins. If we keep our money at btc we cant earn more btc.

Judging by the current market trend, it is extremely difficult to expect short-term profit. Because the market keeps falling and falling. And in a falling market is very difficult to trade. Therefore, only long-term trading.

Long term is always more profitable than short term If you have done some research before investment. Whenever I invest in altcoins I plan to hold it for at least three months before selling and there are only few coins which I'm holding it for short term and 90% of my investment are for long term. Short term is profitable but not always. I think short term are for only whales and for newbie I advise to stick with long term investment.

I advise you to go more into short-term deals and trading. Trading is as relevant as ever I think. The market has changed and it is necessary to adapt to it.

Short-term gains are relatively small. You need to hold a lot of money to make a good profit, but the short-term risks are smaller. Even if you fall, you won't lose too much. If you make long-term gains, the gains may increase, so the profit is also high.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

According to this, my choice now is long term. But Before I invest I have to do some research first so that I can distinguish the long term or short term hold. So until now I still learn some adequate technical analysis I have switched to only long-term a group of Altcoin promises.

First couple of months, i did short term, and got burned few times since then learn my lesson, and now everything i hold is mid range to long term. But it's totally up to you, most people hold short time, make profit and cash out.

Hold any of my coin for long term because of the fact that by holding coin for long you get good profit from it. Short term investment is majorly for the day traders and they are satisfy with any profit from it, but for me long term is the best because you can get considerable amount of profit.

I keep a big part to long term in BTC and ETH and few other alts . these are more than 50% of all . I put about 25%-30% in mid term and 10%-15% in short term
Proper planning is really important, knowing to manage your funds will help you stay longer in crypto, and maybe you will also succeed.
The all in strategy is very risky, because we never know what the future could bring, as long as we believe for its potential, we can always hold.

I would say yes if the market is going up as fast as this one especially. If you just look at investors historically day traders have never beat long term holders. Take Warren Buffet one of the most successful investors of all time. What does he do? He buys companies and holds them for a very long time. He DOES NOT day trade.

I like the long term holding because they will cost me less time to do the trading and I also can make a lot of money in it. I think the trading of short tie take too much time.

I personally think that it totally depends on one's trading skills. If a person has no trading experience/background it's better just to hold long term

As for me, the long term investments would be Bitcoin and Ethereum. I know there are some bold predictions here coming from the analysts, but I honestly think that with the ongoing massive adoption, there is no doubt that both of these cryptocurrencies are considered to be long-term investments despite the risks that we are taking. As for the others, I would consider them as short-term investments that may last up to 6 months to a year.
