I prefer long term.
And investments kept for more than 1 year will be long term. while generally speaking anything less of 12 month is considered short term.
Long term investment always helps you to earn more than short term investment plan. when you invest your idle fund for a certain period of time at a fixed rate of interest ,you get a fixed return on investment after maturity.but,as soon as the tenor increase the rate of interest also increases. For example:- if a bank offers 7% of interest to an investor who is investing for 2 years ,the bank will offer 8% to the investor who invests for 5 years. this 1% difference in rate of interest will bring a huge difference while gaining interest at the end of maturity.

My strategy differs from others a little. I always put the profit in crypto. And it is long-term investments, and I never touch this purse.
And I have other purse for the trade purposes, and I always trade daily. try not to hold Altcoins because I already keep them in a saving purse.
Your strategy is called as HODL and it's actually works in every scenario because this market always grow not falling down.
But it's some kinds of dangerous for you also because we actually can't say anything about this market and there is a chance that everything could be shutdown in a short moment.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

Long term obcourse i would love to hold my coins and watch them grow but stll it depends upon the setuations i do long term or short term trading. If i reach the cap of the price that i want to sell may coins even in a small period of time i will sell haft of them and haft is for long term.

Although always take profits occasionally when the market is doing well so you don't panic sell when the market is fluctuating.

A lot of information has already been written by forum participants, yet I think that today we need to understand that long-term investments in a falling market are promising, because it is in a falling market that most people buy tokens and then sell them in a growing market.

I believe that it is much more profitable, of course, trading, because long-term investment in a modern market is not a very reliable way of earning.

Long term, Because it adds value to your coins as it grows, doesn't matter how long you hold but the longer you hold the higher the chances that the coin will grow specially if its a good one. Short term will earn you profits but not a much as LONG TERM

For me i will go for long term because long term os not so risky in my percentage. Holding it for a long time will give me a huge percentage. So i prefer now a long term investment. For me it is not risky and you will not look everyday about the price, because if you are going to short term investment you will always look to the coin. So go for long term and less risky.

short- term -> a lot of profits and fast but you must to know all about your coin, this is have a big risk

long-term -> profits cannot be predicted, and usually done by people who are not too concerned with trading

i do long term in bitcoin and ethereum, short term in altcoin with cheap price

For me, I will focus on long term benefits. However, there are some oppertunities that I still need to avail in short term. Thus, I often spend 70% of my portfolio for long term which include BTC and potential Altcoin, and shortterm for some ICOs.

Everything primarily depends on the amount of money you have in your portfolio. If you have a lot of money - you can divide the sum into several parts and one of them can invest for a long time. In any case, leave something in reserve because the advantageous option may turn up very unexpectedly.

All that is the future. Short term for daily living needs. Long term for future savings of my child and family later. All is the best.

I will disperse the investment so that I can reduce the risk. I usually invest most of the money on bitcoin for long-term investment, and about 20% of the money to buy some new growth potential altcoin, I think it will be a more reasonable configuration.

I place my main interest on long-term investments. This is about 95% of my total investment. This brings me a profit, so I think this is the right way.

I prefer long-term investments, but I also participate in pre-sales of tokens on the ICO and buy some new coins that I find promising.

It really depends on the person. For me, I don't have enough patience to buy and sell every hour and to sit checking out news all the time. Long-term. Definitely

Long term investments are better at my opinion because you have more chances and opportunities to recive your profit. Short term investments is just a gambling at my opinion.
