But I feel that if we can leave gambling for more than 3 months, we can also reduce our behavior in gambling and who knows, we can also prevent the addicting that will be difficult to solve.

Once you got back in gambling and you are still not discipline, you will still continue to loss and eventually get addicted.
You stopped for 3 months, that only save you 3 months of losing money but the urge inside and that lack of discipline will never be loss once you are getting addicted.

This is unrealistic, an addicted gambler will never be able to leave gambling for 3 months, unless he's dead, they can't resist it, and even leaving it for a day is impossible because their body is aching for it every single day, it's like a part of their body which they can't ignore for too long. But if we're going to consider it true, 3 months might help an addicted gambler to minimize his addiction, but it will all go in vain once he return to gambling, addiction will still be there.

When we say a gambler has discipline, he should be able to stop anytime, but if a gambler is enjoying and he doesn't complain although he gamble on a regular basis, there is no reason for him to stop since everyone of us are looking for real happiness and gambling could be one, although a lot of people might not agree with me.

I agree to this, it is all depends on a person if he really wants to quit gambling, no matter how addicted he is, it doesn't matter if his resolved is much stronger than it, he could quit anytime he want and he will not be addicted on gambling in the first place.

It's hard to take a break from gambling if it's become a habit, what's your Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling, in my case my longest days of break from gambling is 30 days when I take a vacation from a place when there are no casinos, and no internet connection.

Not totally a break though I just put a stop onto it. I don't think that I will be going back to my habit way back then. Well, I just play in park but not with an intention of having a profit anymore I just play for entertainment only. It was just like a sudden feeling like I don't feel the energy within myself, the excitement that I once have whenever I want to play gambling that's why I stopped. Change the things that I once used to.

what would be the reason of that others who can quit forever?
one of the reason would be the negative impact gambling made on their lives

That reason itself doesn't stop gambling addicts from continuing with their self-destructive behaviors

So it necessarily is not the key reason why it stops people from turning into gambling addicts. In simple terms, it is merely an instance of rationalization, i.e. a process of constructing a seemingly good or logical explanation that we come up with, the one that let us stick to a conscious decision of not going on with playing

More likely, we just feel deep inside that we no longer obtain pleasure from this activity, and it becomes for us a waste of time (and money). On the other hand, gambling addicts, or just addicts in general, don't feel that way, and that's the primary reason why they cannot be reasoned with (pardon the pun). They just feel the urge to continue

Gambling is like an any other bad habit such as smoking, is easy for someone to quit, it's hard for others who quit, then start again, quit again... Someone can quit gamble for the whole remaining life and therefore it is unlikely to be found him on the forum. My longest period was 1 day.
what would be the reason of that others who can quit forever?

i dont think theres such player or gambler that can totally leave the table like that, because most of us find this as fun place and why need for quitting?

anyway we have our own ways of treating this area and i truly believe that you are a gambler as you cant skip a day without playing.
Actually there is but the reason would be not appealing for us to see where people do only quit when they already messed up their lives or shall we
say they f*cked up their finances before they do stop gambling completely. Addiction is really hard to stop but we should really be that discipline
to avoid such situation.Gambling is for entertainment and yes, anyone cant easily leave up the table but as a gambler we should really have
that kind of line where you do "call it a day".

there are such players/gamblers who can leave gambling with ease and never look back again. those gamblers are the casual gamblers(I am one of them).
because most of us find this as fun place and why need for quitting?
although it is entertaining and sometimes fun to gamble if it starts affecting your life in a negative way. quitting is the best way to do.

It all depends on the person and the situation;
When I get it is hard to take a break from gambling,
then rarely who can stop, if they have a profit, only if they get big money.
The longest break I made was 6 months, at that time I was disappointed with the losses.

The longest period where I quit gambling was 3 years.
I was betting online when I lost a lot of money in some minutes and then I decided to self-block my account. I have a feeling to gamble in the start but this started fading day by day. After 3 years I became a more prudent gambler and opened an account again.

then I decided to self-block my account.

You mean you closed the account(block?) or locked it with some sort of time lock?
I'd really like to see some secure crypto/bank accounts having timelock feature to prevent those going through addiction from spending all their money in a day. I guess the feature already exist but it's not that popular.

Nice one.
When we suppress most kinds of addiction for sometimes, they just fade away gradually and eventually disappear
Am not sure though if everyone has your kind of will power. Those kind of people could even try stopping gradually in a space one month until they quit completely

I stayed away from gambling for years

I guess the last time I gambled big was in early 2015, then I switched to active trading, which was just another form of gambling for me back in the day. These days I don't trade so much, partly because I don't overtrade (as was the case before) and partly because the market is no longer as wild and stormy as it was in 2015 through 2018. So now I can allow myself to gamble a little here and there testing different gambling strategies (mostly varieties of martingale) but not in a big way

The longest break I've had was over a year, I have 12 hours of work I have a hard time going online because of time limitation, it's not so hard for me actually, because gambling is only past time and I only bet a small amount, I can leave gambling and I can go back if I like to come back anytime.

It is good that you are flexible enough and not rigid or addicted that you cannot leave the gambling easily . This will help you to quit anytime whenever it is needed and take a long break as well if the need be and stay away  from it .
There's really people who can manage to balance things, this types of gamblers are always in the positive side of this activities. Whatever happens
it's easy for them to stop and forget for a while and manage to continue life without playing for the long time. It's safe to anyone since it can avoid
you to become addicted and stress yourself everyday in thinking of gambling from time to time.

But if you are addicted to gambling, a week without in the set is a little bit frustrating but for me who've never been in gambling all the time, it is gonna be fine even it reaches to 1-month break. It is all about how we manage ourselves self and to have a break in gambling it doesn't mean that we are about to quit soon but it just how to avoid being addicted to it.

Well, I consider my self far from being addicted or habitual but I usually visited the gambling sites not to put my bets but just to enhance my learning and get some updates. I don't think if it was a break but it sounds like that...cause I'd never spend money for this time.
Due the addictive nature just like cigarette addiction.. people would become anxious when they stop doing that.

Even when you have no money in your pocket you'll force yourself to push the limit even borrowing money here and there , that moment is the starting point your life gonna be fucked up for sure.
Not sure if people could really avoid the gambling addiction by taking some breaks, it's proven didn't work out unless if you have some replacement of your gambling habit which it takes long time to realize it all.

Probably only about a month or two. I can't tell it for sure because I gamble in a lot of places from esports betting to dice. The biggest temptation for me is a big event in CSGO. There are about 2 or 3 big events in a month on average. I can't resist to make a deposit and start placing bets for those tournaments. Doesn't matter if I make profit or loss, I usually withdraw the rest of my balance after the tourney is finished.

There is a difference between hobby and habit. I treat gambling as a hobby. I gamble when I am not doing anything that keeps me busy and focused. When I am not busy, which is the case for the past several weeks, I may spend time rolling the dice or analyzing my sports bets or spend time with friends playing card games. I also go to cockfighting but mostly only when invited. I have had gambling breaks which take months, especially when I am into field works.

The longest break in leaving gambling is about 3 months. That is because I don't have much free time to think or to play gambling. Besides that, at that time, I have been busy in real life, and I used my time to completed what I did. But yes, I also have the other longest days of break from gambling, but 3 months is the longest days I don't gamble. When I vacation, sometimes I use my time to play the dice games, but I only spend less than 30 minutes just to kill my time because of waiting for someone or waiting for my friends.

But I feel that if we can leave gambling for more than 3 months, we can also reduce our behavior in gambling and who knows, we can also prevent the addicting that will be difficult to solve.

Once after getting into gambling, it is impossible to stay away from it even for a week is truly a hard thing. Earlier when I was much into sports betting I had the control and I spend only on the games that I've good knowledge in predicting the result considering various things. Now after getting into casinos, particularly into dice I wasn't able to stay away from gambling. After experiencing big loss past one week I've stayed away from gambling. I believe this is the longest break at present.
Gambling involves money and money is the most important thing to survive in this world. Now gambling also provides a way to win money without doing any work at all. Basically a person is playing games and making money from it. Though the chances of winning are low still the hope to get some is enough to lure majority of gamblers here. If played, gambling should be done with little amounts of money.

to some yes but to some  no  . as long as you can eat atleast 2 times a day then money is not the most important part for you but what more important to you is that you are happy and you are enjoying simple things in life like playing a gambling but only in a moderate way  . talking a break is good but taking a long break can be depended like for example when your on a vacation or you are just busy with your personal life ( ex. on work or on your career )
