Before you load up on Litecoin take a look at the monthly chart over a few years:



Litecoin is known for yearly pump and dumps, and this year's PnD was classic buy the rumour sell the news on SegWit. It is more likely you will see a lower LTC/BTC price before next year's pump. I think the only way this cycle could be broken is if there was real adoption of Litecoin for merchant payments due to lower fees. That would take someone like BitPay to start accepting Litecoin along with Bitcoin, but BitPay has already said they have no plans to accept Litecoin.

After BTC do the soft fork, LTC will be dead.

I, too, think the future is looking good for this altcoin. It may be remaining steady now around $30 but as someone else mentioned, segwit has not been factored into the pricing. I will continue to hold my LTC. My estimate is $250 - $900 before 2018.

Well litecoin is similar to bitcoin so it can't do worse than bitcoin but only better. It already has segwit too so the future only looks bright for ltc.

This is still only speculation and for some here on forum that i know they mine still LTC, this would be good. IM hopping to see that price price exchange ltc/btc when it was little above 0.03 that is something that im hopping to be again. But i would not mind if price comes to 3 digits, after all LTC deserves this for so long years running.

Lightning network is still not priced in. We will see soon a monster rise, and LTC will be easily the 3° market cap after BTC and ETH.

I hope you are right. I believe ltc is a promising altcoin which may become one of the dominant coins in the future but taking into consideration its price fluctuations around $30 I think it is not likely to grow in price that fast. If even segwit didn't make the price go up, I think litecoin is difficult to push in some direction.

This is very likely possible scenario and it can be lot sooner then expected i starting again to buy some small amount few coins a week to see what will be. Still think that this coin didnt show true potential and we might be in the point that ltc will be like some predicted back in 2014 to hit even 3 digits so don't be surprised if it comes over 100$.

I agree. I believe LTC will break $50 very soon.

Litecoin seems need more base ground to move higher.
I think it will take quite a long time compare to early this year - 2017.
I dont think LTC will have a high jump from 28 to 50, it may move to rise from 27-40 until next year,... probably.

Trading is risky and it is just prediction. I dont know either just forecasting it.

I have LTC and I bought this when the pricr is cheap but I decided to hold for few months and also few years because I beleive before the end of the year 2017 maybe the price will be 50 dollars soon . Even the price of LTC down its better to buy LTC because this altcoin are promising coin and I think it will increase more because coinbase add wallet to LTC and thats good news . I hope the price will increase more not to dump. I hope  this coon will become more popular to the crypto world so the price become higher .

You heard it here first LTC is going up bros I will give you a brief consensus why..
1. Faster block transaction times than bitcoin.
2. They have smart contracts coming to them just like Ethereum has.
3. Bitcoin is a store of value.. and to me that's what it will always be.
4. Decreasing use cases for bitcoin and we come ever quicker to reaching the max coins every year and less incentive for miners because blocks keep growing in difficulty. Where does Litecoin excel that's transactions where bitcoin struggles.
5. It's the silver to bitcoin...
6. It costs literally nothing to send transactions through the network which will spread to more adoption by people businesses etc.
7. Businesses are already dropping Bitcoin accept Litecoin as a payment option and I believe the trend will continue.
8. Etherum is not the future. They eventually are going to move to proof of stake...and you realize that with each thing Vitalik Buterin changes he treads further down riskier and riskier paths.
9. Ether Classic went on a tear.. if you think this isn't going up you're clinically insane. Especially since cryptos are becoming easier to use and more understandable.
10. New money flooding the markets everyday. Coinbase had 40,000 users sign up in one single day on the 22nd-23rd of may.

I also bought some litecoin yesterday but is actually pricing down for now. My hope is that litecoin will trade before the end of this year at $50 to $60 then I will sell off my position. For now most of the crypto currencies are at the oversold area and this is the best time to buy.

i joined the gamblers club having bought 30 LTC so far today 

People who bought at sub 4 dollars realised their profits from over 30 dollars. It's a big gamble if you want to buy LTC from over 20 dollars now. Personally I wouldn't touch it but it's your choice. There are plenty of other coins you can make better percentage than LTC trading.

my speculation is, LTC will be on the rise on the next wave since more and more people will shift their attention on how LTC being undervalued right now, and hopefully their update might affect it somehow.

Although some people say to immediately dispose of the LTC, but I will try to keep. better to be junk than I sell now

Price correction for every coin is now so dont expect in next days or weeks for this to happen but quite optimistic is to be at that price cuz last time it was 40 when btc was 1200



It should occur in this year to see this high peak all coins except LTC were at top of this so only one that remains is LTC and this should be happening this year.
