v10.0:

- added assembler kernels for ETH+LBC mining mode (AMD cards only), major speedup for LBC.
- about 1% ETH speedup for Vega cards.
- fixed issues with voltage/clocks management for latest AMD blockchain drivers (not completely).
- new GPU sorting method for NVIDIA cards. Now GPUs are sorted by physical bus index (it matches AfterBurner list of GPUs).
- for ETH+LBC mining mode maximal "dcri" value is 1000 now.
- added "-platform" option.
- added "ESTALE" option support in failover file epools.txt (see "-estale" option for details).
- several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Thx Claymore:

I tested it on my Part Time Gaming PC / Miner Rig / Tester Rig, everything is working great: 3.5% more MH/s while decred dual mining, on my RX580 (29.5MH/s) and RX560 (14.15MH/s) cards, voltage set on miner, undelrvolt ok, overclock ok, temp control ok, power consumption seems to be at the same levels, I must confirm with more time. The PC is more unstable but I guess it's due the beta drivers. I will begin installation on my Mining Rigs tomorrow.

I have only one question, What are environment variables in "epools.txt", "dpools.txt" and "config.txt" files?, Can use them to define different pools or variables for several workers on the same file, I cant found information about it.

Thx again, paying gladly my 2% fee =)

P.S.: Anyone has tried gaming on these drivers?, I have two SSDs on this PC, one for tests and one for gaming, so far I always have installed everything that works on the test SSD to the main one, this time I have my doubts.

When you start a miner, one card shows 511 degrees!
Lord, I do not know what to do (
Card RX480 Sapphire

It's not possible for your card to be 511°C. Must be a false reading. Check Radeon Settings temperature reading to determine if the problem is Claymore, AMD or your card.

If the card shows 511 c degree, that mean the card crashed. You need to reduce the frequency.

99 times out of 100 511C means a PSU/RISER problem look at the connectors at the PSU

PSU/RISER PROBLEM LIKELY--

I agree with Klassje.  It is likely that a riser is bad.  Old, skinny-version risers get really hot and sometimes melt with dual-mining, and even new risers go bad.  It is interesting to note that if the problem occurs, the "511C" figure is common.  I have had the same readout; the card was good but the riser was bad.

I would stop the rig and change risers before mining again.      --scryptr

@Claymore

The '-r -1' command line option is not working correctly in version 10; it still retries the initialization instead of closing.

I am new to mining ,  thanks for software and all the help,  I just have a problem.    I am seeing the devfee  show up in log but have not seen any transactions at this point.   This maybe normal because of my low 13mh but like I said I am new.  One more question I do not use as "worker ID" is it mandatory?
Read the "Help/Getting started" page on mining pool website

Yes I always have the same exact issue, and once the hashrate dropped after losing connection to pool
I have reproduced this bug some more times.
GPUs are stuck in P0, P1 or P2 states after reconnection to pool.
Should I put same clocks in all states in BIOS?
Or should I force clocks with -cclock option?
Or should we wait fix in miner v10.1?

Miners developer
please update Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner of Monero. It's a long time from last update.Besides,I guess mining Monero will get more money than mining ethereum at next year.
The most important is add dual mining function if it is possible. Thanks at first.

I second that emotion; if there can be any improvements to the Claymore Cryptonote miner it would be appreciated.

+1

I'm working on it already, currently I write assembler GPU kernels.

Need help from Ubuntu experts

Hi!  I need some help from Ubuntu experts.  I set up a test rig using the Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 on Windows 10, using Afterburner to do some mild overclocking - Stable on Claymore 9.8 with customised fan profile.  I flashed the bios with the Hynix timing straps and I am getting around 24mhs, which is not bad, but not great either.   It is stable.

However, when I tried set up an Ubuntu environment (16.04), I can get it stable at standard clock rates - however it crashes when I raised the clock rate using the flashed bios with the overclocked memory that works well in windows.   The fan seems to be kicking in very late, and I was getting 76 degrees at 25% fan.

Here's a list of my questions that I hope the Ubuntu/Claymore experts can help with as I am a beginner in Ubuntu:

1.  I tried using the -tt and -fanmin command in Claymore.  I get the error message "Failed to set new fan speed, check if miner has root access!".   How do I set the miner to have root access?   Right now, I am starting the miner with the command in terminal "./mine.sh", where mine.sh is the claymore start file.

2.  I am getting a list of error messages off the standard environment variables in Claymore.  As below:

"alvin@cryptominer-one:~/Desktop/Claymore98$ ./mine.sh
./mine.sh: line 1: export: `0': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 2: export: `100': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 3: export: `1': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 4: export: `100': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 5: export: `100': not a valid identifier?

Appreciate some insights into the above.

3.  -mclock 2100 doesn't seem to have any impact on the hash rate (standard is 2000).   Am I using it correctly?

4.  How do I monitor GPU status in Ubuntu?  Aticonfig doesn't seem to work.

Thanks!

Hi,

where did you get the Beta 16 ? All I can find is Beta 12.

Thanks

This temperature is shown by the msi afterburner 16 BETA.
Resetting the settings for overclocking the map by default did not help.
Maybe the truth is in the riser?

The power supply is good.....Corsair rm1000i
I do not think that the map could deteriorate (

Anyone else having an issue mining ETC in solo mode?

My activity isn't showing up on the pool side and I've tried it on ethermine and minergate.  Miner is showing normal activity, submissions, occasional rejects, etc., just the shares submitted and/or stats are not showing up at the pool.  There are no errors at start either.  My guess is that I don't have it configured correctly (and I'd love to be corrected on).

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Very good version for this 10th number of the Claymor's dual Ethereum + Decred/LbryCoin/SiaCoin/PascalCoin mining software :-).
I use only nVidia cards and I am very happy of the result.
Thanks a lot Claymore.

Corsair HX1200i PSU
6x Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 4GB Hynix Memory (Modded Bios)

Using smOS with the new update Claymore v10.0

Getting total average=  170.34 mh/s
GPU temps ~51℃ fans %67
Each GPU ~ 28.431 mh/s
Power Draw= 1092 Watts / Cost per KW/h ($) here in kuwait is 0.01 $

OC settings on smOS: Core 1215 MHz, Memory 2150 MHz, Powerstage 6, Target Temp 75℃, Minimum Fan speed 67%

Happy Mining guys  have a great day Cool

I've been using Claymore on an unstable system - trying to narrow down the errors to stabilize the system but it is still crashing.  It has never mined for more than a day or so without crashing.

Now the console output gives zero indication of error, it just crashes or reboots after several hours or nearly immediately.

win 8.1 64

Try just one card without riser then add parts from there.

i have the same on one of my rx580 ... does anyone have a solution ? i think it is damaged...

Where does it show its 511 degrees?  If its only in claymore than it is probably just a bug.

from my side it was within ethos and also in windows with claymore 9.5.
card is long time laying around - will try it again with new setup and miner.
