Nuggets ended the finals and Jokic won the NBA finals. What a journey for a piece of history in the making that has been made by this big guy who likes chicken nuggets that eventually became the face of the Nuggets franchise. LOL.
Those who have bet for the game 5 to end with Nuggets are surely enjoying but I've got a lot of friends dismay on this ending because many of them thought that Miami got this, still props to them.

What a journey for the best big man of this season and there's no doubt he truly deserves it also his teammates help him a lot to achieve this great goal of their life as NBA players. Thankfully the Finals MVP is no other than Jokic. After he constantly brings his team to playoffs it finally pays off well and also this time his best buddy is playing Jamal Murray. They played well and deserves this championship without recruiting some star players nor did they go to the championship teams that won multiple championships in the past. they trust each other and eventually earn their best reward ever.

Truly a big achievement of his career since he won a lot of trophy and sealed his legacy this season. A big kodus also to his teammates which do their job and perform very well without thinking about padding their stats in finals especially on Murray this is really a big win and they erase their finals drought for 47 years since there franchise created and now Nuggets has been erased to the list of the teams which didn't win a championship.

It is indeed but it's just so funny to me how Jokic answered some few questions from the interview right after the game because it so looks like he is not that delighted for what happened and for him it's just another day having a victory and said, goal was delivered and it's not time for me to go home. Grin

Anyway, looking at the Nuggets cores, they are still so young and that gives me some creeps because they will be dominating the league for more years to come or at least give a hard time for those who want to claim their title. Congrats again to the Denver Nuggets, finally!

I really wish the Finals should have been longer but it is what it is. Still mad respect to the Heat organization for an amazing run.

Yup, that’s how pretty much everyone I’ve talked to about it feels. Denver deserved the win and I think we’re witnessing the birth of a new dynasty as they’re all still young enough to get 2 or 3 more titles if they can stay healthy and together. This was the ending that was to be expected and hopefully the regular season comes back fast!

I also quite like KCP because the way he plays, in my opinion, often gives unexpected surprises that makes opposing players a little confused about taking action.

KCP is a good role player because he has matured and has a strong desire to win games. He also knows how to play defense, making his minutes on the floor highly productive, even if he struggles with his shooting at times. The Nuggets were fortunate to have him. If the Lakers had not traded him, he might have been able to contribute to their campaign last season.

He might able to do it but the question will be the same about the Lakers facing the Nuggets, do they have what it takes? I think not. By the way, I almost forgot about Thomas Bryant because since he forced a trade and played in the Nuggets, his playtime became less and less especially in the post season but it seems that he had the right choice because he is now a champion although his presence wasn't the one that helped the team as the Nuggets core can already handle almost all teams in the league.

I hope to see him healthy all the time.
Not all the time but definitely most of the time. I think he's going to be one of those elites who will have a long career because of how he plays the game. Not like those fancy and high flying players. Maybe someone like Tim Duncan if he can keep his weight in check.

KCP, Brown, and the rookie Braun made some tremendous help over that championship run. That rookie has something and I think he'll improve more in the Nuggets side. KCP steal in game 5 was a crucial thing because if he haven't get that it might be Butler's score and momentum will change phase again. Lakers will rebrand once again, they even trade their role players when they won that championship in the  bubble, how much more that they just reach the semifinals. Kinda frustrating tbh.
I've seen some pictures of Braun's success. Prior to his season with the Nuggets, he had already won a championship. Now, in his first season with the NBA, he has earned his first championship, making history for himself. LOL.

Anyways, congratulations to the whole team. It wasn't just Jokic alone, as he himself wouldn't be happy to hear that. He believes in team effort and gives credit to the help of his teammates for the biggest success of his career.

I believe Jokic should be the highest-paid player in the NBA, and I hope to see him healthy all the time.

Yeah, I want to give credit to KCP crucial defence in every game but his presence can be replaced since other players are capable of doing that with shooting. Nuggets will not gonna attain this achievement if the duo of Joker and Murray is not consistent since the rest of their teammates are struggling with points. Miami and the rest of the team that the Nuggets beat is a high scorer team. The duo is the only reason why they became champions.

Miami Heat deserves some praise, they are underrated in the whole playoffs but they proved them wrong.
The Denver Nuggets also deserve the praise especially Nikola Jokic, the media keeps on bashing him as an overrated player and there was even a time he was called a "stat padder" because of the amount of triple-doubles that he recorded. That's not right, they cannot just accept he is a real genius.
I guess he can shut up his critics now, when he won back to back MVP, his detractors says he need to win a NBA ring. Now he did it, but for sure they will still find loopholes in his game. Maybe they will say now that he needs to win another one, and another one.
I actually found one on Twitter earlier on how they explain things thoroughly why Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets won the championship.
It's so absurd that I don't know if that person is still in his right mind.
Here's how he summarized it.
Nuggets won against the 8th seed Timberwolves
Then they won against the 4th seed Phoenix Suns.
Next is the Lakers another 7th seed.
Finally, they won against the 8th seed again.
He said, "What's so great about that?" Obviously, not a basketball fan as he only looked at the seed, and even if we go at looking at just the seeds, he didn't even consider how strong the Miami Heat is in defeating the number 1 and 2 of the East. Very bad summary of how the game works. And like it's the fault of the Nuggets to be in battle against the number 8. Somehow, it made me chuckle at how far haters will go just to pull down anyone.

Bruce Brown and KCP showed up again in the last minutes of the game, the same as they did in Game 4. Defense! An offensive rebound and a put-back for Brown which is crucial to get the lead back and a steal from KCP that ended the game. Congratulations to the Denver Nuggets.

Specially Bruce Brown, I think he just elevated the game. And just like any other championship team, there have to be someone who has to do the dirty jobs and that is Brown and KCP. KCP is now twice a NBA champion, first with the Lakers and now with Denver Nuggets.
He truly did. Bruce Brown worked harder in this team although he has his moments with the Brooklyn Nets too. I am amazed with both of them especially KCP, he realized that he is not just a shooter anymore, he is also good in defense as long as he is focused. A good steal from the Washington Wizards and I like how he feels like he is home now.
Then there is Aaron Gordon that was not interviewed during the presentation of the trophies, I wished they let them talk.
That guy just defended the star players of every team they defeated. KAT, Lebron, Kevin Durant, and Jimmy Butler. A very impressive defensive discipline from him. He didn't even care if he cannot score as long as he can stop the star players, most of them will not be seen in stats but we as basketball fans will not forget that.
It's done. He can go home now. He had been itching to be back in his country.  Grin There's a horse race coming up.
Is this Jokic? I've just watched an interview of him that he certainly likes to stay on their stable.
Yes, that's him.

Dude, I really like KCP.

He's been traded after winning the title with Lakers and now he's with the Denver Nuggets. I hope that he won't be traded again and he's good to stay with his team. They've got a chemistry and he's always there when he's needed on those important minutes of the game.
The Denver Nuggets will be able to value their dependable player even more so it would be impossible to trade KCP who helped to claim the title.
KCP will be able to be a Nuggets player for much longer and I'm sure he can give the best for the Nuggets in the next few championships.

I also quite like KCP because the way he plays, in my opinion, often gives unexpected surprises that makes opposing players a little confused about taking action.

Joker made it look easy to overcome the Lakers in the playoffs and then for this finals. No debate that they really are the best team currently and let's see if they'll be a back-to-back champion for the next season. They're not the most desired team to win this year's title but I am also sure that many will start to follow their journey for next season. It's all great and hard work for the tandem of Murray and Jokic and despite that they're not crowded with star players, they themselves are making starplayers together with their teammates contributions.

when it was hard, Jokic proved he can lift Denver all alone, Murray added some points, but in second half when Denver made an overturn last night, Jokic was focal point
congrats on first title for Denver and Jokic, they deserved it

will be interesting how this will going in next season, maybe they can repeat it
Miami deserves congratulations as well, they kicked-out Bucks and Celtics and that eased case for Denver a lot

I like how Gordon, Porter Jr, KCP and Brown contributes not only to their offense but also the defense..

That's the kind of huge improvement we've seen from the Nuggets. It's their defense that really gave them the win. However, without Murray, this would not have been possible, as Jokic alone could not carry the team, especially when most of his teammates are inconsistent. Murray is a legitimate scorer; he can score even under high pressure. This made Jokic's job easier, and they also have the advantage of facing a team with many undrafted players, giving them a significant edge.

I thought that the Heat can get this one as the game is really close in the first 2 quarters and I said that a low scoring game will benefit the Heat in the end. Unfortunately, the Nuggets can't be deny in their first championship.

I know, others might think of dynasty, but we will see if they can continue their magical run and for sure the team will be intact next year. So I guess we fans of NBA will have to wait for the next season. For sure there will be a lot of trades and changes again, not just for players, but coaches as well.

If there's no movement from the other teams which I doubt, but if there no movement for sure Nuggets will still a good competitor
for another ring.

With the solid connections within the inner cores of the team, it's a tough team to beat as they know what to do and the rotations will find itself.

I like how Gordon, Porter Jr, KCP and Brown contributes not only to their offense but also the defense..

It is absolutely undeniable that the Denver Nuggets are actually better and more confident in this final. Miami Heat is that okay out of sorts right now. The confidence is not there. But they will have to find confidence because this is a must-win match for them.

And I also am not very confident that they will actually be able to win this match. But probably they will be able to win if they give their best. But honestly, the chances look very little. I will actually say that if the Miami Heat can actually manage to win this one, they will be able to take things to the seventh game. But if they lose this one, then it is just over.
Well, the game has ended and Denver Nuggets has been the one that's proclaimed to be the 2022-2023 NBA finals champion. During the first quarter, the chance was seen but it didn't last.

Guys, I've just searched for how much the champions will get for this finals. It's just approximately around $7M for the Nuggets. Is that really low for most of the champs. I know that there are ticket sales, merchs and everything.

But this prize is quite low after just I've got it on my mind and tried to search about it.

Those who have bet for the game 5 to end with Nuggets are surely enjoying but I've got a lot of friends dismay on this ending because many of them thought that Miami got this, still props to them.

Miami Heat were by all margin the underdogs coming into this series, but the players I felt really sorry from the team would be Bam Adebayo and Kyle Lowry... Jimmy Butler trying to redeem himself late into to the game but still made and unforced turnover, that led to KCP steal to blow the margin into a 3 point game, when just proper awareness of his teams mates location would have made him noticed Bam Adebayo already free behind both Jokic and Jamal for what could have been an easy basket/shooting foul. And more so for a player with a series way below his usual standards, I can't fathom out his reason for taken such a terrible 3 point shot decision with over 14 secs left of the final 24 being down by 3, where there are other better 3 pointers that could have easily gotten a better look or a better shot at least, even if the basket was made, the Nuggets would still have 14 seconds to work with while having a timeout, that more than enough time to still get the win, I guess Jimmy Butler must have watched Jordan Poole a lot in the the playoffs this season and learnt quite some things from him  Angry

Finally, for Kyle Lowry he's arguably the best PG the Heat had all through this series even at age 37, and being on minute restriction the Miami Heat were always a better side with on the court and Butler off, than otherwise.
That last shot of Jimmy was I think said and instructed by Spo since there's really little time left and no matter what happens, they'll lose. I think that it's much better if they just let it be shot by Lowry, Duncan, or Struss. We can't deny that it's probably like a clutch game of his life so with that time remaining left, that's the game plan but didn't do well.

Nuggets ended the finals and Jokic won the NBA finals. What a journey for a piece of history in the making that has been made by this big guy who likes chicken nuggets that eventually became the face of the Nuggets franchise. LOL.

It was a slow game and I thought as well that they'll be able to manage to put it on 6 but it didn't work. It's visible that Bam can't get in against Jokic's defense.

Nuggets in 5! That was my original thought. Nuggets finished all series in their conference pretty fast. The expectation was Bucks, Celtics or Sixers playing in the Finals but Heat made one of the biggest surprises in history. They could only win one game though. If other teams had been here we might watch a longer series. That doesn't matter anymore. Nuggets got the well deserved first title.
Predicted the same as well. I thought it will going to be 6 games when the Nuggets got their first home loss in Game 2, but they came back with 2 straight road wins, and eventually winning the title. I guess it's pretty obvious that the Nuggets have the upper hand here in terms of stats, and players as well. Anyway, a well deserve title for the Nuggets (and it's their first time in the history of the franchise), and a well deserve Finals MVP for Jokic as well. Now he can go back to Serbia now, and spend his time with his family.

Who expected that the Heat team will reach the NBA Finals?

TBH, when I saw that they will face the Bucks in the first round, I already predicted that the Bucks will sweep them, but I was wrong. When analysts predicted that the Heat only have 3% chance of winning against the Celtics, they proved them wrong. Kudos to the whole Heat team. I wonder what will be their moves next season. They will give better contract to their undrafted players? They will trade Lowry? They will get Westbrook? Will they trade Butler after having a bad NBA Finals series? The Heat will be the one that I will be looking for this off-season, because we might see them making some big trades.
