These things don't happen often, but the fact that they do and almost always play into Real's hands is a fact. But nothing can be done about it, until they are found to be doing it deliberately everyone will just forget about it a week after the match. In such cases there is only one way out - to beat Real Madrid in this match, that no decisions of the referee could not affect the outcome of the match.

It seems to be a fact indeed. Maybe it is worth to do a little search whether someone ever took the time to analyze wrong referee decisions which led to a decisive advantage among the big teams in Europe. But I agree without knowing any data, it often looks like Real Madrid seems to have some leverage over referees. Besides just perceiving it like that, there has been evidence a while ago I think that referees have been paid millions and then those payments were declared as "advisory services". That's of course unbelievable.

But considering how big of a club is, imagine you are a referee in a game in the Bernabeu Stadium and you blow the whistle to the disadvantage of Real Madrid. This could mean you never can show up in the stadium again, depending on how important the game is. The pressure is real for those referees.

Man City should be the favorite to win the match, Man City is stronger than Feyenoord and they will play at their home. Do you doubt it?
Of course, there is no guarantee that a bigger team will win the match. But I'm sure man City won't miss the points because it will risk their position on UCL table. Man City will always try to perform well whatever the condition of their team. Well, I think they have enough players to face Feyenoord. I'm confident that Man City will win the upcoming match.
Despite its status as a favorite on paper, Manchester City's recent games have raised some doubts about the final result. Nevertheless, any club tries to demonstrate its best features in a game with such an opponent, and for many rival players this is a great chance to show themselves in the best light in front of potential employers in the face of richer clubs. But still, I am inclined to believe that Manchester City is still really the favorite, but I would not be too surprised that it will have a hard time in this match, but City should take a draw for itself at least.
In the last few matches Manchester City got bad results and even they lost to a team that was not better in quality than them but that's how football is there are many surprises that happen but that doesn't mean it can be used as a warning if the bad results continue, Manchester City is the favorite team because they have the strength so with that makes Manchester City can do anything anytime without being expected with the strength they have.

For the next match against Feyenoord I think it won't be difficult for Man City, they are already behind and have to win the match so with the pressure that exists Pep's team will give everything to win the next match, I won't doubt that.

Real Madrid's journey in the Champions League looks so difficult this season, they face clubs that are quite tough to qualify for the last 16, if they experience a 3rd defeat, their position will be even more threatened because they have to fight again in the play-off round, it will make Real Madrid's schedule even tighter this season. I also don't think Liverpool will back down to Real Madrid in this match and if they can beat Real Madrid, it will reduce the competition in the UCL if Real Madrid does not qualify when they have to compete in the play-off round.
I have this much faith in the Real Madrid team that they can make a good comeback despite facing many difficult equations. Real Madrid have done well in the Champions League despite not producing a very strong team in previous seasons. Recently, due to the injury problem of some players, the performance of the team is not going very well, but if those who are still playing in the regular eleven of the team can play their normal game in the upcoming matches, then I believe that Real Madrid will return to consistent performance again. In all the matches that Real Madrid have played in the Champions League, we have not seen the performance they should have so far, but in the upcoming matches, we will definitely look forward to seeing a great performance from Real Madrid.
For now, Real Madrid is indeed experiencing difficult times in La Liga and also in the Champions League because they are experiencing an injury crisis, but if their players return, maybe Real Madrid will be strong again and will beat the teams that are their opponents, it is not once or twice that Real Madrid has had problems at the beginning of the season, even if we remember last season Real Madrid also experienced a storm of injuries at the beginning of the season but in reality at the end of the season Real Madrid was able to win the UCL and La Liga titles.

Mancity being the favorite to win?, Well I guess this odds were drawn based on how each teams will perform in the last 4games of the group stage, and I'm quite sure that most of the big teams won't take any of those games for granted. And also, maybe based on how these teams will perform in January, after the recovery of some of their key players, or the signing of some new players as well. It's quite surprising to see Liverpool dropping down to 4th even though they are the only team with a 100% winning record so far this season in the champions league. We can't be too sure of the odds, but maybe a dollar would be worth risking.
Liverpool sitting first position when we're looking at the UEFA Champions League table, they're unbeaten and that explains it, Arne Slot is the best replacement for Jurgen Klopp. On the other hand, what are the odds of the Citizens winning games? Perhaps there are every tendency for top club to matches the big winnings. Manchester City are always craving for the big winning this season but what happen to them currently? They're absolutely not the formidable club that have won the English Premier League title 4 times in a row, are they? Pep Guardiola still working so hard to figure out his team's weaknesses because it's not funny to record 4 streak defeats in major tournaments and you expects the players and supporters to wear on smiling faces? Everything doesn't seem right with the club this season.

Arne Slot couldn't even make many transfers last summer you know. Liverpool was criticized because of that a lot first. I was also one of them honestly.  Tongue

However now we see them rolling. Arne Slot wasn't a name who most people knew until coming to this place. He didn't have big successes with top teams before. But now he is on the road to starting his career with a title or maybe even titles.  Grin  I know it is very early to talk about these things. But after watching them so far I feel really positive for them. I see them as one of the serious title contenders in the Champions League as well.
He doesn't want to rush into making a decision to bring in new players, that's also because he must have seen the composition of the players in the squad are good players, so the first step he took was to try to utilize the existing players, and so far it has proven successful. He can make good use of the foundation built by Jurgen Klopp, he can realize that and it's a good decision he has taken. Honestly, I was also one of the people who worried about Liverpool's performance under Arne Slot, but it turned out that those concerns did not happen and even Liverpool were able to show something good even with their new coach.

Arne Slot was totally aware if Klopp's squad legacy is still one of top squad that could won anything. He analyzed it pretty well, and decide not to sign a new player during the summer transfer season. it makes me amazing about how smart he was, though, he has come from low tier league.

I did same have bad expectation to him once he being announced as a new manager, but as the time goes, he proves me wrong. Liverpool is just getting under his hand, no pragmatic play, and on point tactic.

Really amazing with the way he did it.

Looks like the bookies are unphased by Man City's recent 4 losses streak and still see them as a favourite for raising the cup.
As of today, the odds for the outright winner (per duelbits) are as follows:

Do you see any dark horse with massive odds that could actually win the whole thing?
Dinamo Zagreb is x800 and are currently placed 16th, so above teams like Bayern, Real Madrid or Milan. It could be worth putting $1 bet on them  Grin

The bookies might have different criteria they are using that is different from present reality. If they are being serious about this, Manchester City is not supposed to be rated among the first five teams to win the champions league this season because it is obvious they will not. A lot have changed with the club including their enviable mentality that have been shattered. I was even thinking that for things to have gone so bad with Man City this way, maybe Pep is preparing to leave the club. This was how it went with Barcelona before he finally left the club.

Liverpool dropped its position?
As far as I know, Liverpool stays in 1st place.
I think you misunderstood Felicity_Tide.
Liverpool is still at the top of league phase table. Felicity_Tide was referring to the odds shared by pawel7777 which indicated the probability of winning the champions league for different teams.

According to the odds shared by pawel7777, Manchester City now has the biggest probablity of winning the champions league.

It is clear that Liverpool are favourites in the upcoming game, but this does not mean that they will try to take the full three points. They have practically guaranteed themselves a place in the top 8, why should they strain themselves/risk if a draw suits them just fine? There is no difference between 1st or 3rd-4th-5th place. In parallel, every point in the Premier League is worth all the gold, I think that they are focusing primarily on the Premier League now.
You may not see the need for the strain for three points but for Liverpool it doesn't just end at the three points and staying at the top of the table but setting a record is also part of it all , so they can possibly decide to strain to get the complete three points and have a Fri feet at the top of the table while they also attempt pitching a record with the new UCL format. except the the premier league gets placed above the UCL for Liverpool then we could anticilatsßv

I know that Liverpool is in their best form and they have not experienced any difficulties since the beginning of the season, doesn't mean that we should underestimate Real Madrid because of the trauma they are experiencing in the club. However, I believe that they might surprise us on that day, but it will not be easy for this to happen, because Liverpool is also ready for them.

Liverpool are having a spectacular season with Arne Slot at the realm of affairs but this doesn’t make them exceptional or unbeatable. Real Madrid might be actually having a bad start to the season but you don’t rule them out in the champions league. Real Madrid have many things at stake than Liverpool in this game with a loss in the match their direct qualification by finishing top 8 will all but be gone which I don’t think they will want because going through the playoffs is another extra games that clubs will try to avoid. Moreover Liverpool has been beaten this season by Nottingham Forest at Anfield and Madrid also aren’t new to that stadium, Madrid have been their and have won in that stadium and as such I expect them to go there and try to win.

Match between Liverpool and Real Madrid is highly anticipated and will be very intense. Both teams have extremely talented players making it difficult to predict outcome. Real Madrid has impressive history in Champions League and has done well recently so many people think they will win. However Liverpool is doing exceptionally well in Premier League currently leading table ahead of Manchester City showing their strength and determination. This matchup will be exciting test of skills and willpower with both teams eager to win title.
The upcoming Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid can be difficult for everyone to predict. If we want to put a team forward based on the performance of these two teams in this year's Champions League, Liverpool will definitely be ahead. Liverpool is ahead but Real Madrid is not less strong. Just as Real Madrid club has one of the best strikers and midfielders of the present time, Liverpool also have the best strikers and midfielders who can lead their team to victory at any time with a good performance.

Maybe this Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid will be very exciting and competitive. Both the teams have quite a lot of skill players and they are capable of performing well at any time of the match, which can give both the teams enough chances to win this match.

I think Liverpool is very lucky because they are playing against Real Madrid while Real Madrid is not in the form. However, Real Madrid is always a dangerous team, no matter if they are in good form or not. I think since Real Madrid got many injured players and they are far from the good days they had before, Liverpool can have a good chance to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Real Madrid was always the best team in this tournament, but currently, Liverpool is the best team in the Premier League, and they can even have the potential to beat Real Madrid.

Mentality is the main capital that Real Madrid brings to the Champions League, they have repeatedly been in situations where they will lose, but at the same time they have also managed to turn things around and they have become winners in the match, especially in the knockout round and also in the second leg. This is a very good thing that Real Madrid has, and I also agree that so far they are the best club when it comes to mentality in the match. Well, whoever will be their opponent must be careful, because the bad results they experienced before will not make them give up easily.
I agree with you, but there is one other thing that may be difficult to say about Real Madrid. In my opinion, Real Madrid is the most influential big team in Europe, I mean sometimes referees tend to make decisions that favor Real Madrid over their opponents and this is the part that is most difficult for most people to admit. Only those who are neutral will admit it, while others will likely deny it.

I know that referees are human beings who cannot fail to make mistakes, but sometimes their leadership in matches involving Real Madrid is very unfavorable for the opposing team. There are some decisions that can be controversial at times, these are the influences I mentioned earlier.

Liverpool might be having the best of there season yet, in the FPL and UCL alike as opposed to Real Madrid that are having difficulty in coordinating there play to play more like a team together, I find them(Real Madrid) to be still formidable as ever, Liverpool needs to exercise extreme caution when they face Real Madrid because, they remain the UCL specialist and it doesn’t matter what team they are up against. They just do enough to qualify each time.

It would make a risky bet dwelling in the win 1x2 market. A more goal approach would be best as both teams are supposedly a scoring side. Jude would be looking out for something to prove to the home fans as a visiting team.

I think the suggestion you gave is the best, because with all the ups and downs I have seen so far in this champions league I doubt that I will ever make a bet on 1x2 market again, I mean it seems the teams are just not serious to win or something so betting more of the goal would be more preferable and better too.

As for Real Madrid I was all in on this particular issue their facing now to be their problem when the season started and if not anything but just for the fact that the entire football world was saying mbappe is gonna make them invincible which is certainly not the case now.

Real Madrid's performance has not been as good as last season so far and expecting them to win the Champions League title this season is a bit doubtful. Fans will still hope that Real Madrid is a team capable of defending its title this season, but it would be completely unreasonable to always let this team win the Champions League title instead of another team.

Several teams that have performed well this season have a good chance of winning the title and one of them is Liverpool. Manchester City also doesn't escape my attention, although so far Manchester City has been unstable, but Real Madrid still shouldn't be ignored even though its performance has been inconsistent. Real Madrid has won 15 Champions League titles in history, they are the best team in this competition.
I do not doubt Real Madrid's performance because in the Champions League they will easily turn their performance around to be better. Yes, lately there has been a lot of speculation that Real Madrid will be doubted to become champions this season because they think Real Madrid's performance has declined this season. But in my opinion they are too early to judge Real Madrid's performance because the Champions League still has many stages to go through so judging early is very unreasonable.

Even in terms of strength, Real Madrid has quite good strength with the quality players they have. But so far I have doubted Mbappe's performance because he has had relatively difficulty showing his best performance with Real Madrid. But as time goes by I admit that Real Madrid will be much stronger compared to the current situation.

Real Madrid is quite different from the team you mentioned at the top that has won consecutively in the Champions League and the league. Also, there are many competitive teams in Europe this year, the Champions League may not be as easy for them this year as you say. Ancelotti needs to produce something new, to win consecutively as you say. Otherwise, they have a lot of players with good capacity.

Knowing well that Real Madrid's performance is not as good as we expected doesn’t mean that they will continue having the same performance till the end of the season. And we all know that in the Champions League, it is not only about your performance but also experience, and Real Madrid has both in full, so it is something that is worth being considered. Although you have also mentioned that Real Madrid is the only team that has a total of 15 trophies so far in the Champions League, so that still means they have the chance of winning this season still.
