I'm not sure if playing at home is actually such a big advantage for Liverpool. Looking at their league game statistics, the average points per game for them is slightly higher for away games than for the home ones (a difference of 0.1 point). That's largely due to their home loss to Nottm Forest back in September.

I don't think Real Madrid is still one of the favorite teams in UCL this season. Real Madrid performance looks very unconvincingly, they don't play consistently as the last season. Both in UCL and La Liga, Real Madrid gets unexpected results. Real Madrid got few bad results recently, they were even defeated with 4 goals by Barcelona. The chances are still there but it is precisely these chances that sometimes make us forget that Madrid are always beyond expectations.
