Maybe Manchester City shouldn't really care about what they could do with Champions League, they do not really look like they are going to do anyways, so maybe that shouldn't be the case here at all. Maybe they should only focus on premier league games. I do not know if they are still at EFL or FA as well but they should be out of it so we need to consider how they need to ONLY focus on premier league, that would be a lot better for them. I am not saying this is the only way, of course they could try their best but that doesn't mean that we are going to see this happening all that quickly but unfortunately City will end up being a bit more difficult and different in the end as well.

So all in all I believe we could be considering City being in top four of premier league as much more important. Just focus on that, they look like they are doing better for the last two games, just do that and I am sure they will be fine.
Well, you are right. I also think that Manchester City's priority should be focusing on finishing in a position that will guaranteed position to play in the Champions League next season. Their form has improved in recent games and they will be looking to push themselves more both in the Premier League and Champions League.

Actually I do not think that Manchester city are depending on one player as speculated, rather it's seems to me that the squad is in need of back up players because it obvious that when all these injury worries started at Manchester city there were no viable or suitable back up players in the the team and that was why the vacuum that Rodri left became so visible.

If the likes of kovacic were playing the way they Rodri was doing then no one would have noticed Rodri's absence, hence this goes to show how important it is for the coach to shop for more players in certain areas of the team, like the defensive area, the midfield and defensive midfield too, at least to help fortify the squad for the second half of the season.
One player does not determine the outcome of a match but one player has a great impact on the journey of the club. You yourself also said that Rodri’s absence was one of the problems that made Man City play inconsistently and that means certain players do have a significant impact on the team. De Bruyne plays a vital role in the midfield because his presence can make Man City play better and more coordinated.

But this season De Bruyne's performance has dropped drastically, making it difficult for the front line to score goals and even before that Haaland began to struggle to score goals because he did not have a measured pass given by the midfield or other colleagues. Some players are important and may have a big contribution to the club, although one player does not guarantee that the team can be much more consistent.

So all in all I believe we could be considering City being in top four of premier league as much more important. Just focus on that, they look like they are doing better for the last two games, just do that and I am sure they will be fine.

Top four should be their target at this point and not fighting for the premier league title because the point gap between them and the first position is so big that they may not be able to catch up with them anytime soon again. They have other competitions like the champions league to focus on, so they need to remain focused and try the best they can to finish in good positions in both competitions they’re participating in. Their performance for improved in their most recent games, I hope they’re able to continue in that great form for a long time from now because that’s the only thing that will make them prevail in all competitions and stand a better chance to also get some good records this season after a good start and a poor mid season performance from them.

Manchester City has already returned to their best form because they are performing well right now, and they will not try to lose any points because if their performance is poor this new year again, I don't think they can compete in the league anymore, but I have noticed that any year when Manchester City has started winning games, they don't used to lose again until the season ends, and they have started the records now, let's see if they can keep the records and continue Guadiola will have to give up on the league title, and I am sure they will focus on the Champions League more than the rest of the tournament, since if they miss I don't think they can achieve any trophy this season again, let see how the season will end and see with the good record that Guadiola as be keeping for long term I think this season he will be broken because they are not in a better shape like last season because if is last time Manchester City will be the top of the league and the ucl group stage.

I'm sorry but how didn't you think that Manchester City is backed into good form again? They just won two recent games against teams like West Ham and Leicester City. Also don't forget Leicester City is the team they are not in good form at all they are currently in the 19th place in the Premier League which means beating a team like Leicester City won't be hard at all. Especially when we know Guardiola and his players have a much better team than Leicester City and Westham.
Manchester City is still in danger and I think with this performance we saw from them so far, they can even lose the game against PSG and say goodbye to the Champions League much sooner than we could expect to see from this team.

I don't really understand why the favorite teams in the Champions League did not do very well in this first stage of the group match. Talking about Manchester City, we understand that they had some inconsistency issues this season in the English Premier League which also spanned to the Champions League. But I am also considering if the new format of the Champions League is one of the problems of most of these favorite teams.
As for the meeting with the PSG side, I believe Manchester City knows how important that match is and they will not joke with it. They have not been joking all this while, rather  it is football that happened to them. So, same football can happen to them again.

I'm imagining if this champions League was to be started with grouping, whereby each group will have only four clubs and only two will only qualify on each of the champions League group, I believe almost all the big team would have been disqualified for not coming out top two of the group, that way they could have looked into themselves than how they are doing now because there is no second chance, however is from next season we would start seeing some of the correction we are thinking few big teams will do on this season, however don't be surprised that Manchester City will still joke with the match, meanwhile how many signing are we expecting from Nottingham Forest this January I have not heard much from them as others are making plans to, however is Southampton doing good by not sacking Russell Martin after all this years of nothing?.

Last season, De Bruyne's absence made Man City's performance decline and Erling Haaland also couldn't do much because he was a striker who had to be supported by other players to be able to score goals and after KDB returned, Erling Haaland showed his sharpness again and his club's performance slowly started to improve and this season almost the same thing happened to Man City who lost Rodri and made Man City's performance decline a little drastically from before and KDB also couldn't help Erling Halaand to score goals, I think Pep Guardiola needs to bring in players who can help Erling Haaland KDB is old and Rodri is still out for quite a long time so Man City needs a midfielder to fill Rodri's void.
That is true because in fact it is quite clear that when Rodri is not there, Manchester City's attack line has had a bit of difficulty and is very irregular so it is quite appropriate for Pep Guardiola to bring in players who can play in Rodri's position even though each player is always different from the previous player so the team's performance will not be the same as before. Because at this time Manchester City really needs a win in any competition, including the Champions League competition, because their position in the current Champions League standings is still not safe.

If we compare Manchester City's UEFA Champions League performance this season and other seasons' UEFA Champions League performances, we may see a lot of difference. The team won the UEFA Champions League a few seasons ago but have won just two matches so far this season. Manchester City beat West Ham by a huge margin few a days ago, so maybe their players will be able to play well in their next match. Manchester City will face PSG in their next match. Manchester City's previous record with this team is very good, moreover, this match will be played at PSG's home ground where they will have the Extra advantage.
There's no doubting the fact that Manchester City's performance in the UEFA Champions League this season is poor when compared to what we've been seeing from them since Pep Guardiola took over the managerial position at the club. That said, I think they'll travel Paris Saint Germaine with the sole intention of winning that game since they know their dreams of reaching the knockout stages might be dashed of they lose the game. Their hosts' chances of progressing to the next round is also uncertain at this moment so I expect both teams to give their best in search of all three points in that game.
This match is very important for both Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain. While City is looking to win and move up the league, PSG is aiming to win their last 2 matches and make it to the Playoffs. City, who have had back-to-back unsuccessful results under Pep, will be a little more relaxed if they beat PSG, but PSG will try very hard to win on their home field. This is a match that PSG absolutely must win.
That's one of the reason why I feel PSG will take the match more seriously than City. City performance will be tested in this match if they are improving in form, or they won their last two EPL matches playing with weak teams. It's quite unfortunate that some big teams are not sure of qualifying to the next round at this time of the season despite all the matches played.

Everyone thought that with the arrival of Arne Slot, Liverpool would become a mid-table team again, but with their current performances they are one of the serious title contenders for both EPL and UCL. Even though Liverpool's management has been unsuccessful and stingy in terms of transfers, they should be appreciated for their choice of manager. Arne Slot, who many people heard of after he came to Liverpool and didn't find attractive after Klopp, is managing to crush his rivals with a squad that is inferior to his rivals. You have to admire the Liverpool management in this respect. I hope they stop skimping on transfers and we will see Liverpool with both EPL and UCL trophies at the end of the season.
Actually the standard klop did set before leaving Liverpool was just high enough that most persons persons weren't seeing Slot as someone that could fit in the picture for after klop has left. its really interesting that currently Liverpool is like one of the best in the premier league this season, and they have been able to show that in the premier league and beyond they are maintaining same performance and so they are even a good contender even in the champions league and not just the premier league alone unlike some other teams whos got a good performance probably limited to a particular league and do poorly in other major leagues.

The UCL is the league to know the best in Europe but at times, it is not actually the yardstick to know the best, situation can happen, which is not limited to luck and lack of luck on the part of the less-deserving team and more deserving team respectively. Averagely overall, the UCL is a good league to know some of the best and of course, those reigning in a certain league might be messed up when another better league champion shows their supremacy. Some local leagues are generally weak but will not soon know until they play tourneys like the UCL since they are competing with the likes of weaker team locally.

Yes mostly people think UCL is best competition to find out which teams are best in Europe. But it is not always perfect way to measure how good team is because many factors affect on team like luck or injuries or how well individual players perform. By the way UCL usually shows some of best teams in Europe it is also true that teams who win their own country league might struggle when they play against stronger teams from other countries. Also teams from weaker leagues in their own country might not realize how good or bad they are until they play in UCL where they have to play against teams that might not be as good in their own country league.

Is natural that there is such response because in reality not all team in the UCL competition are really strong team, it is true that they are the best team from the domestic League that get tickets to play in this competition but some team in the domestic League that qualify are not necessarily able to play well, such as PSG for example and there are also several other team from less popular League.
Everyone will have their own way of assessing team and even the quality of competition, as long as the competing team are strong here I think it will still be quality and competitive match.
From now on, everyone can assess the abilities and strengths of each team that is still in the Champions League competition, especially when entering the playoff round and also the last 16 which will generally be much more competitive than the current round. And for the example of the team you said, it is true that not all teams can be good in the UCL competition even though the team is still very good in its own domestic league by occupying the top position and becoming a candidate for champion.
The UCL is the league to know the best in Europe but at times, it is not actually the yardstick to know the best, situation can happen, which is not limited to luck and lack of luck on the part of the less-deserving team and more deserving team respectively. Looking at Real Madrid's current performance I agree with you that we cannot favor Real Madrid in every match. Real Madrid is inconsistent this season but in La Liga their performance is not that bad. They are still consistent in the top ranking with only 2 defeats. But their performance is indeed inconsistent in UCL with 3 wins and 3 defeats. They are in 20th place in UCL and their position can be taken by any team in the ranking below them. The difference in points in the UCL standings is very thin with only 1 or 2 points. But if you look at Real Madrid's mentality I am sure they will qualify for the next round even through the playoffs. I think we have often seen Real Madrid make an extraordinary comeback like in the match against Valencia.
That’s just the facts about Real Madrid performance in this champion league their performance look unserious compared to how the there make a strong performed in the La Liga, but my own view of thinking is that may be they’ve more interest on the La Liga then others leagues that’s why they put much efforts in that league.

The best thing for Real Madrid team to do is that they should go and face the La Liga, instead of them should be wasting their time and energy in the champions league and their performance is didn’t improve anymore; look at then in table they far left behind.
Real Madrid don't want to fall behind in any competition for the sake of any competition. They always form a strong team at the beginning of the season and their bench players are strong enough so that in a new season they are ahead of everyone in the fight to win the local league and champion league title. In other seasons they started well in La Liga or Champions League but this season they did not start well in these two leagues at all. They may have come back in good shape in La Liga but their comeback in the Champions League has not been the same. They won the match which was important for them and they are still in the competition but if their performance is like that of average team in the upcoming matches, then they will have a big problem in front of them to do well in the Champions League.

As we as supporters are thinking about this team so much I think the Madrid management and manager are thinking more about this matter so if we put our trust in them they will definitely not let us down.

Erling Haaland is starting to have difficulty scoring goals because De Bruyne's performance may have declined slightly, resulting in the flow of the ball for Erling Haaland stopping. But when facing West Ham, he managed to score two goals for Man City's victory and hopefully this will be a turning point for him and the team.

Manchester city is too big of a club to be depending on only one player to be supplying the ball to the goal scorers, I thought they had Phil Foden that could give assists and other players too. What I think happened was just Pep Guardiola losing control of his creative mind and there was nothing new that he could coach the players on and this cause the whole bad form that the club was on as you can't say it was only De Bruyne absence that cause the decline in the club. Some individual say it's the absence of Rodri that's causing the club to be in bad form therefore everybody has their own theory but atleast all that will be over soon as the players are regaining their form.

I also think so, overall Real Madrid's performance this season is very inconsistent and also the matches in UCL cannot be underestimated especially overall the strength of RB Salzburg and Brest is not that bad this season so it is also possible for RB Salzburg and Brest to make a surprise when playing against Real Madrid later.
I think everything is possible in the remaining 2 UCL matches before the playoffs later and I think Real Madrid cannot be favored excessively.
Looking at Real Madrid's current performance I agree with you that we cannot favor Real Madrid in every match. Real Madrid is inconsistent this season but in La Liga their performance is not that bad. They are still consistent in the top ranking with only 2 defeats. Real Madrid had a poor performance in the Champions League but that was in the beginning but later they came back brilliantly in the Champions League so now you can count on Real Madrid. If Real Madrid can't be trusted in the Champions League, I don't see any other team that I can trust more than Real Madrid. The teams that did well in the Champions League last season, we didn't see good performances from the teams at the start of this season and we felt that this season might be a bit of a mess. However, Real Madrid returns to good performance and still shows the hope of Madrid fans.
Real Madrid is still performing poorly in the Champions League, I have observed Real Madrid's last three Champions League matches where they have won only one match. So maybe it would be wrong to say that they later come back brilliantly in the Champions League. Real Madrid have won the Champions League before so we thought they would go much further and perform much better this time, but they haven't been able to do that yet.
Quote
I am only worried about whether Manchester City or Bayern Munich will be able to perform in the Champions League like they did last season.
Manchester City are yet to strengthen themselves which is why they are still far behind in the Champions League, another team you mentioned Bayern Munich they are in a fairly good position in the UEFA Champions League. Yet this team is unable to win every match in the Champions League as they have in their domestic league. Bayern Munich is currently ranked tenth in the Champions League.

And I really hope PSG can do a lot to beat Man City because in my opinion playing at home is a good moment to get 3 important points and I am quite sure with Enrique's coaching experience he should be able to take advantage of this situation to give the best for PSG fans and I am quite sure I will bet on PSG because Man City has not recovered enough in its performance.
For me it will not be easy for PSG because I think the best result in the match is just a draw.
Although the opponent that PSG will face is still in unstable performance, Man City is still an experienced team and knows PSG's weaknesses. On the one hand if we say bad performance, maybe PSG also has a performance that is equal to Man City.
Unless the PSG squad is able to dominate the match to continue to put pressure on the opponent and maximize when they get a good chance. Enrique must also have a strategy not to rely on his mainstay players. Because I am sure the opposing players will focus more on PSG mainstay players.

I really don't understand you or am I mistaken it for something because know that Real Madrid are currently the champion, and also they are known as champion of all time, Real Madrid is among the top teams that know how to play when it comes to champions league, must of the Cup they took, they didn't started with an aggression of winning the trophy, slowly but surely they arrived at the required destinations and that is what everyone are aiming for. Seeing them in 20th place in the table doesn't me they are out but if they have good record and stay in the top ten is better. So far they are not in the 25-36 they have a bigger hope of winning the title. Even PSG that are still in 25th place have hope of winning the title, because they still have more games to play.

We saw several inconsistency this season from most top teams. City just happened to be one of them. That of City escalated because their decline in performance didn't just affect their position in the CL table but also reflected in their standing in the premier league. I am not sure this devine in performance have to do with format but if that be true a team like Madrid , ATM and Bayern shouldn't be in the playoffs.

To me I see this as a breeze of season because all the clubs in the top 8 worked their way through the first stage of the competition navigating all the difficult opponents that came their way. A team like Aston villa caught my attention how they managed to navigate to top five.

This will be a very interesting match to watch, because it can be said that both teams are currently in dire need of points to be able to advance to the Champions League this season, and it can be said that both of them are not playing well in the Champions League so they lost a lot of points and of course this will be a fierce battle in Paris, seeing Man City who are slowly starting to return to their good form of course they will put up a fight against PSG who will be the host and if we look back at the 3 meetings between Man City in Paris they managed to win once and draw once and PSG won once this will be a very unique match because both have strengths that can be said to be quite balanced and also both teams have coaches who have quite a lot of experience of course it is very difficult to predict the final result.

That game will be one of the most interesting and anticipated match of this round when it’s been played. Both teams are waiting to know their fate after this match after a very poor form in the champions league competition. Both team knows how important this match is to them and they need to put in their best form in order to come out successful in this matches. For Manchester City, they seem to have more chances of getting a win in this match than what PSG will come out with. PSG are not looking like the promising team to get a win in this match. If the game becomes very tough, I would say this match can likely end in a draw but a win for PSG is not I don’t set it likely happening.

You're right. Man City performance is declining a lot recently, it is both in UCL and EPL. In UCL, Man City is almost out of plays-off zone. Man City needs to win in the remaining matches if they want to finish in plays-off zone at least. If Man City has no problem in their preparation against PSG, I am very sure Man City will win the match. In the last 2 matches, Man City begins to show their good performance again. It is the time to show their good performance in UCL, too. PSG is not in a good performance in UCL, I think there should be no problem for Man City to beat them. Guardiola only needs to ensure that all Man City players will perform with their best level. Well, I hope Man City won't be eliminated in this league phase.
