There is a belief among fans about Real Madrid being very difficult to beat in the Champions League so far and that is a miracle that no other team has. Real Madrid are often lucky and able to recover from difficult moments in a match, but I don't think so this season. So far, Real Madrid is often referred to as the king of comebacks where they fell behind first but won at the end, but it is true that this season some people have doubted the consistency of their performance.

I tend to agree that Liverpool is more consistent than Real Madrid regarding performance, but on paper Real Madrid is superior in many ways, including squad depth. Ancelotti is an experienced coach compared to Arne Slot, but I really don't want to doubt Arne Slot even though this is his first season for Liverpool.
Mentality is the main capital that Real Madrid brings to the Champions League, they have repeatedly been in situations where they will lose, but at the same time they have also managed to turn things around and they have become winners in the match, especially in the knockout round and also in the second leg. This is a very good thing that Real Madrid has, and I also agree that so far they are the best club when it comes to mentality in the match. Well, whoever will be their opponent must be careful, because the bad results they experienced before will not make them give up easily.

I also think that Real Madrid will have difficulty winning at Liverpool's home in that match with Real Madrid's current condition. Because currently everyone already knows the condition of the Liverpool team which still looks more consistent in winning matches so the level of difficulty that will be felt by Real Madrid will definitely be much greater even though everyone knows that Real Madrid is a team that is often strong in the Champions League.

I hope the Real Madrid guys will bounce back soon enough to be able to beat Liverpool else with the current performance of Liverpool, the only team I think Liverpool might find it a bit difficult to trash will be Barcelona but they're currently doing very well as far as delivery of goals and winning of matches are concerned. This is both at the domestic league level and in the Champions League too. Liverpool's coach, Jurgen Norbert Klopp have started this season will full energy, ready to face any team that comes right on their way. I don't see them becoming scared of any of these top clubs right now. The chances of Real Madrid beating Liverpool in this situation is pretty much on the low side so Ancelotti needs to put his extra energy to get good results.
Have you be watching Liverpool games in the premier league and UEFA champions league this season, you will know that Real Midred will not have the strength to stop Liverpool not to win the game because their new coach is doing wonderful things to make the team to lift UEFA champions league trophy and other trophy. I notice something from Real Midred in some games, that made them to lose against some strong team like Barcelona and other teams which is a big sign that this season will not going to be easy for them to reach semifinal in the UEFA champions league before they will be lockout.

No matter the energy Real Midred coach or players apply in this game, they will not going to get a good result from Liverpool because Liverpool has changed positively to showcase their preparation in this tournament.

Real Madrid is indeed very superior when viewed from head to head. And actually Real Madrid also looks superior if we look at the depth of the Real Madrid squad, although it is not much different from the depth of the Liverpool squad, which also has quality that is not much different. But Real Madrid's inconsistent condition this season makes us hesitate to choose them. So choosing Liverpool is also the choice that many people will choose. And with the record of not losing in the UCL this time, it will make us believe more in Liverpool's superiority. But don't forget that this is Real Madrid. Where they can sometimes bounce back very quickly and beat any opponent no matter how strong.

So far so good in the Champions League... Liverpool have just been amazing. I must admit one thing here. I wasn't expecting Arne Slot to make such an impact on the team. Look at them now topping the CL and EPL both.  Grin

What do you think about them at the end of league phase here? Will they finish it at the top? Honestly I think they will. Especially while some big favourites are showing quite poor performances...  Sad

Manchester City and Real Madrid are really disappointing me with those poor results recently. I know the schedule is tight but it is for everyone in the end. They had better get more serious as soon as possible.
I'm as surprised as you about Liverpool this season as I never thought they would still remain a serious contender for both their domestic league and the champions league. However, somehow inside me I still believe that Liverpool will flop; I may be wrong but that is the dominant feeling I'm having each time I remember that Sadio Mane and Jugen Klopp are no more in the club because they were like the backbone of the club.

Nevertheless, if Liverpool continue the way they are going, they might even win the league because neither Arsenal nor Manchester City is showing any seriousness this season. Both teams are already fatigued when the season is not yet halfway.

Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich or Liverpool, they are all strong candidates for UCL this season who have the opportunity to win the title and in my opinion Barcelona is the same with its current condition with Hansi Flick, they deserve to be included in the category of strong candidates accompanying the 4 teams.
And to answer your doubts, let's just leave it to Barcelona, especially Hansi Flick, whether he is able to bring Blaugrana further in this competition or not or other possibilities present a trophy, no one knows. For now, let's just enjoy their competition.
They are strong at the beginning of season but now they have some risk of playing play-off matches to go to knock out phase in Champions League. We will return to talk about them as strongest and best candidates for UCL title in this season, when they already are eligible for knock out phase. Their current positions are not too good but still better than PSG's position.

I believe they will go far in Champions League this season, all of them Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Barcelona. The exception will be PSG, as they are at big risk now or if they can go to knock out phase, it's hard for them to go too far. Losing Mbappe affects PSG's attacking system but their squad have more problems in midfield and defense systems too.

Barcelona's performance under Hansi Flick is indeed extraordinary, the coach did not need much time in his first season, he immediately managed the team very well as he has shown now, and indeed there is no need to doubt that Barcelona is a strong candidate team to win the UCL title, they only need to maintain their level of consistency in this increasingly tight schedule.
As a Madrid fan, I doubt Barcelona can win the UCL title this season. Tongue

I admit that Barcelona performance is better now after replacing the new coach and in the end Hansi Flick proved that he is very suitable to be Barcelona coach even though he was initially doubted. But no matter how strong Barcelona is now, I am sure it will not be easy to get through all these challenges because there is still Liverpool who is much more consistent and has better quality players.

Arne Slot couldn't even make many transfers last summer you know. Liverpool was criticized because of that a lot first. I was also one of them honestly.  Tongue

However now we see them rolling. Arne Slot wasn't a name who most people knew until coming to this place. He didn't have big successes with top teams before. But now he is on the road to starting his career with a title or maybe even titles.  Grin  I know it is very early to talk about these things. But after watching them so far I feel really positive for them. I see them as one of the serious title contenders in the Champions League as well.
He doesn't want to rush into making a decision to bring in new players, that's also because he must have seen the composition of the players in the squad are good players, so the first step he took was to try to utilize the existing players, and so far it has proven successful. He can make good use of the foundation built by Jurgen Klopp, he can realize that and it's a good decision he has taken. Honestly, I was also one of the people who worried about Liverpool's performance under Arne Slot, but it turned out that those concerns did not happen and even Liverpool were able to show something good even with their new coach.

If to measure the quality of the game temporarily then on paper Liverpool is favored because it has a stable and promising performance. It's just that Madrid is still Madrid who even in bad conditions can rise to provide resistance. Currently Madrid's back line is very vulnerable and only gives Mo Salah and Diaz the freedom to move. Liverpool Counter Attack this season is the best in the Champions League and the Premier League. So I hope Madrid prepares itself especially its back line to be able to ward off Mo Salah's movements.
This will be a difficult match for Real Madrid because at this time they are not in a stable condition after some of the players they have injured. Liverpool are more favored and there are many advantages they have today but don't forget that Real Madrid is a difficult team to beat in the Champions League. The two had met and Real Madrid were still superior head to head so that Liverpool's burden might be a little heavier.

It is difficult to predict matches like this but if you look at the quality of Liverpool when they are much stronger. Real Madrid is also so weak in defense position that Liverpool can take advantage of these weaknesses to defeat them.

Maybe this Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid will be very exciting and competitive. Both the teams have quite a lot of skill players and they are capable of performing well at any time of the match, which can give both the teams enough chances to win this match.
This match will not be easy for both teams who are both big teams, therefore it will not be easy to predict who will win and certainly in this match the tension of the game will be much higher, if you look at the meetings of the two teams in the past Real Madrid is superior but the problem is now their performance is declining so there is an opportunity for Liverpool to take revenge for their past with their current performance.
It seems that if I have to choose one of these two teams I will lean towards Liverpool.

Even on paper there is no way Liverpool will be rated as the favorite against Real Madrid because they have no good record against them, yeah Liverpool is in better shape right now and the two Liverpool players you mentioned are in good shape and can easily penetrate the defense line of Real Madrid but you have to consider the availability of the attacking force of Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham is back, Vinicius Junior is still in good shape and Mbappe is good despite not being able to adopt to the team yet and then Ancelotti who is expected to have a strategic plan to approach the Liverpool team would not want to lose again I think Liverpool may not get a draw against Real Madrid in the game.

Arne Slot truly delivers results that exceed everyone's expectations. He continued the squad built by Klopp to be even better. But this also proves that the squad built by Klopp is indeed very good. So Arne Slot was immediately able to maximize it very well. But I never thought I would see Liverpool be this good this season. Because initially I thought that there would be a slight setback during the adaptation period. But what has been seen since the start of the season is the opposite. Namely, Liverpool doesn't seem to be experiencing a transition period or anything like that. Instead they immediately performed great and continued to win many matches. I am sure Liverpool will continue to top the rankings in the UCL at this stage. But in the Premier League maybe I doubt it a little.

Liverpool are currently in good shape in both the Champions League and the Premier League. It’s really surprising that they are doing great in both competitions. I wasn’t expecting it as well, but that is football. I hope Arne Slot will be able to keep this consistency for a long time so that they can get the title this season. I believe they won’t make any mistake that will make them drop any points right now, especially in the Premier League that they have been waiting for a long time. Let's see if Arne Slot will be able to keep this mentality of winning till the end of the season.

I think this will happen only if Manchester City and other top teams are not in their best form like last season because currently Real Madrid, who is one of the top teams in the Champions League, is not in their best form, so I feel like if those top teams are not in good form they will easily win the title, but if Manchester City and other teams get their performance back then definitely we should be expecting Liverpool to experience some hard times even if they will win the league title. Because if they did not get their performance back then I will say Liverpool will get it easily since Liverpool is the best team right now.

They should be able to continue winning matches so they can top the table with so many points that even if those teams later buckle up they won’t catch them any more.

Liverpool has been at their best this season and their performance is just so balanced such that they have been able to maintain such a good form in the Premier League and the champions league. I got surprised when Liverpool trashed Bayern Leverkusen by 4:0 without struggling so i see a very concrete team in Liverpool who can be able to win the Premier league and possibly the champions league. They have every possibility of finishing at the top because the team is very much in good structure.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are really disappointing me with those poor results recently. I know the schedule is tight but it is for everyone in the end. They had better get more serious as soon as possible.

Manchester city and Real Madrid are known as major competitors of the Champions league so even when they are underperforming, it's not a prerequisite they can't get better and with the level of things now, they need to be more serious now since the competitions are becoming more tighter.

Liverpool did appear very extraordinary, but we will see the seriousness of the other teams when the round of 16 begins. The top 8 teams will automatically enter the round of 16. The rest will be determined from other teams through the Play off. Big teams that are unable to enter the top 8, have the opportunity to qualify through the play off, with the requirement that they do not meet each other.
There are still 4 matches left and there will be many changes I think in the standings. But the results of the 4 matches so far have indeed provided some surprises from big teams that are facing difficulties.

The upcoming Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid can be difficult for everyone to predict. If we want to put a team forward based on the performance of these two teams in this year's Champions League, Liverpool will definitely be ahead. Liverpool is ahead but Real Madrid is not less strong. Just as Real Madrid club has one of the best strikers and midfielders of the present time, Liverpool also have the best strikers and midfielders who can lead their team to victory at any time with a good performance.

I also pick Liverpool here.

Real Madrid only have advantage in head to head, they won 7 times, drew 1 time and never lost against Liverpool. But, head to head stats is pointless if their current performance is bad.

Both of them do lost many players, but as long as Liverpool have Diaz and Salah, they will be fine.
