Inter Miami doesn't deserve to be in the League Cup final. They are literally the last place in MLS. But since Lionel Messi arrived everything has changed completely and now Lionel Messi is on his way to do the impossible and lead the worst team in America to the biggest final in club history Inter Miami. Lionel Messi has so far scored 9 goals 1 assist in 6 matches, and also Jordi Alba scored his first goal in MSL with Inter Miami.

It seems that the presence of several new players even though they are entering retirement age has had quite a good impact on Inter Miami, because in the Major League they are a weak team because they are only 15th in the eastern region with only winning 5 x in 22 matches, and by making it to the final they have the opportunity to become champions, but this will be a pretty tough fight for Messi and his teammates because their opponent is a fairly strong team, namely Nashville.
Messi will again be expected to score goals like the previous matches, seeing how this team managed to score quite a lot of goals in every game in the league cup, they seem to have turned into a productive team and when the MLS matches return to continue they will try to improve the rankings for the better.

It is just a matter of time before he beats that record and set new record in the MLS that will not be easy to beat. Other players like Taylor and Martinez will also score and record more goals because Messi is also as good in providing assist for games as he is in scoring. So as these players have the opportunity to play next to Messi, they will score as he scores and have their value increase too.

Maybe the Saudi Professional league would have overtaken the Major league in competition with how many players from other league moved to it, but Messi's move to the MLS, still ensured that it got some much needed attention on it for people to know that the league still has a lot of quality and competition in it. The stadiums to host the world cup will be more packed with people than it could have because of how Messi is making soccer popular again. Even Messi will be more comfortable performing and playing for his country, since the country is already a place he is used to and the people know him.
