It's unbelievable how some players can change a whole team, before messi and some other players arrived at Inter Miami, this team had bad results, but with the arrival of messi, busquete and more players they changed a lot and the team is performing well , just see that in the last 10 games that Inter Miami played, they didn't have any defeat, nor does it seem that before these last 10 games they didn't win 8 games, it's an unbelievable change, I believe that next season they will be in a best position, talking about yesterday's game, without busquete and messi starting the game
The arrival of Messi means a lot for Inter Miami and changed their club dramatically. They won their first ever title in their club history after having Messi. In modern football, with more importance of tactics, team working and requirement of proactive defense from all players, it is very hard for a single player can actually change a whole team by improving team performance and result.

It requires superb talent, great experience and of course can not lack of luckiness. Messi contributions and impact on Inter Miami are oustanding and hardly to be repeated by any single player in future.

I don't under value the contributions from Busquete and Jordi Alba but Messi has more important role in latest success of Inter Miami.

@Slow death I’m not at all surprised to see Messi perform so well and lift the team because he’s the main focus of this team and this league is easier then Ligue 1 too. @SquirrelJulietGarden while those two are great player’s but Messi is a global superstar hence I always knew from the moment he arrived that he’ll totally transform the team and secondly when he’s playing very happily it’s very difficult to stop him.

From all of the above, it is clear that for the first time this season, all the tickets were sold out before the match, and resale ticket were listed for over $1,000 leading up to the game. RP Red Bull Stadium's capacity is only 250,000, and a record crowd of 26,276 arrived at Red Bull Arena. This so crazy dude that everyone have love to watch Messi.
Fans cheered when Messi started to warm up three minutes into the second half, and a roar erupted when coach Tata Martino signaled for him to take off his pinstripe and head to the center stripe. Messi made their pleasure much greater by scoring a stunning goal in 89 minutes of the match.
The capacity is 25,000 instead of 250,000 and with the number of spectators who went to the stadium as many as 26,276 it means that it has exceeded capacity, not only does Inter Miami benefit from Messi's presence but when Inter Miami has away matches their opponents benefit from the large number of spectators present to watch Messi.
It is quite surprising that his presence has had such a tremendous impact not only on the results his club has achieved but has also provided additional income for many parties. Messi is still very likely to play for the next two seasons in this league because he also makes quite a lot of money here and playing in a league where the competition is quieter gives him mental and emotional comfort and this is really needed by players who are old enough but still really want to stay play.

Yeah, obviously Messi is the guy that carries the whole club; this is not the first time that Messi has done this; he has done it so many times in Barcelona, PSG, and Argentina, and now Inter Miami is his way to carry them on his own status.

Quote
and one thing that I could see and that maybe I could be wrong is that it seems to me that the stadiums of inter miami started to get a lot of people inside the stadium because everyone wants to see messi, i say that because when they announced that messi would come in to play, people got up and took their cell phones and started taking pictures and recording videos, you could see it in their faces and why they were wearing t-shirts from the main team of argentina and others with the t-shirt from inter miami that looked more like the t-shirt from messi, very famous players like messi cause this kind of effects
It is absolutely curious that American people went crazy to watch Messi. If we look at the previous match of Inter Miami against RP Red Bull outside the stadium, the streets were fully packed 3 hours before the match, with dozens of scalpers and people selling unlicensed Messi shirts, and almost half of the fans wore shirts from all three of Messi's clubs and the Argentina national team. A simulation of the game was projected onto the videotape in Times Square.

It is not just impressive, it is remarkable! Messi has totally converted the whole club. Stadiums are packed full to watch Messi and in games where he does not play, there is not so much excitement about the games from the spectators. Messi's arrival in the MLS has rejuvenated the interest of people in the league and has rescued the league from totally being swallowed by the Saudi professional league. If Messi had not moved to MLS, there will not be many talk about the league like we see presently because all the interest was already moving to the SPL.
That is for sure but I think it is quite normal for the people to go crazy about Messi in the beginning, but what's more insightful is how Inter Miami will be doing in a few months from now and whether they can sign a couple more players from Europe. The MLS is still not able to compete with the SPL for as long as there are salary caps in place and that won't change.

The deal with Jordi Alba, Busquets and Messi seems to also have been very well orchestrated in advance. I think it is no coincidence that three players like that in a bundle agree to join the last ranked club in the MLS. There was most likely a lot of coordination and negotiation involved.

But yes it is remarkable that they turned Inter Miami upside down and they really keep winning their games or score spectacular last minute goals and keep their nerves at penalty shootouts. The league has seriously benefitted from the Messi transfer.
I do not think that it would be that much of big deal if they end up getting more players, Miami already is doing great and I bet that they will continue to do even greater as well and should be considered understandable to win the title one day if they keep this up.

The only trouble Miami has is the fact that just like Ronaldo was the start of big payments like that to Saudi league, that means if MLS starts to pay a lot for the star players that may change some stuff. I think it would be quite troublesome and it would make it a bit different. The salary situation is the only thing that matters, we have seen how Saudi league was a terrible low level one and then they started to pay players 100+ million each and now they are bigger, MLS should do that.

the team was a little aimless, the attackers lacked creativity and kept wasting opportunities to score, and as the opponents weren't doing well in the game either, messi's team didn't concede a goal and the defense wasn't under pressure, but we have to see how Inter Miami will do when playing against the top teams, because only then will we be able to have an idea of what to expect from Inter Miami next season. if they could bring more good players then they would already be fighting to win the MLS league

If you follow MLS on Instagram you will see that their stadium in their recent games is full of people and it is true that most of them come to see Messi.Of course in a league of a much lower quality compared to La Liga Messi can be a huge game changer and in the page of Instagram you will see a lot of magical passes, dribbling, assists and goals from this single player,it looks like Inter Miami is reborn with the arrival of Messi and they are becoming an unbeatable team in the MLS.Next year if they don't change things at Inter Miami most likely they will be undisputed Champions of the MLS and they will be dominating this league for the time being.

Of course he did it to make alot of money. He knows he can still play at his peak performance so why not make himself paid higher than another player in football while cementing himself as the goat of the sport.

https://www.sportico.com/personalities/athletes/2023/lionel-messi-career-earnings-billion-mls-1234730823
And of course wanting to build on his legacy wouldn't hurt either.
Aside from making $1.6 billion in earnings over his career so to surpass Ronaldo is for his own achievement.
Messi is not in top three or at the first position but what he got is impressive. Because he joined MLS when his career is at sunset and with imagination, we can see how he will receive if he joins MLS earlier especially during golden time of his career. This assumption never happens but I want to say, comparisons between Messi and other athletes in the list are unfair because of what and when they receive such money are very different.

We all talk about a transfer record of Neymar but if Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo moves from Real Madrid or Barcelona when they had peaks in their career, they would break the record of Neymar.

NY Red Bulls Vs Inter Miami

NY Red Bulls faced Inter Miami without Messi, Busquets, J Martinez at their own home ground but Inter Miami was leading 1-0 in the first half. So far, almost 30 minutes of the second half have been played without either team scoring. However, in the statistics of the game, NY Red Bulls play aggressive football but they remain goalless at their own home ground. However, it is not known why Messi and J Martinez were sitting on the bench in the first half today, but Lionel Messi entered the field in the 60th minute. J Martinez and Banquets both came on after 60 minutes and it remains to be seen if Inter Miami can score more goals in the end.
Not playing Messi and Busquets from the early minutes could be the strategy implemented by the Inter Miami coach to avoid fatigue in both players and seeing that the existing squad is capable enough to win the match, the second half both played and Messi managed to score again for his club and win very convincing match.
It is quite surprising that Inter Miami has managed to maintain an unbeaten record in the few matches they have played, but when facing a strong team it will be a real test for them and defeat can be experienced by Miami.
In the middle of the week, they will compete against the stronger team Nashville, a team they have beaten in the league cup on penalties, this time Nashville certainly understands Miami's weaknesses so they can get points, but Inter Miami certainly won't waste the opportunity to get points again and even though later they win it won't be able to change their position because their points are still behind New York City FC, they still need a lot of wins to be able to improve their position in the standings.

From the start, coach Gerardo Martino may not have tried to play Messi. Because as long as Messi is on the field, he may face injury this is the cause of worrying. But there is option he has to play for the team to win.

After Miami scored 1 goal, the coach brought him on in the 60th minute because if they put the opposition under a little more pressure and score another goal, they would be guaranteed victory. That strategy is implemented almost in the end of the game. However, Messi's goal in the 89th minute cheered the crowd. Another goal has been added to Messi's name in this league.

Miami became one of the top teams of MLS after the Messi deal, not only because of Messi, if you leave him out they are still top three to be fair in valuation and I think that matters. They may look like they are very much down for the time being, but they will gradually get better and next season they will be even better, I am sensing a championship for them either this year if they do fine enough to get there, or more probably they will get the title next season, it should be quite good to watch and see.

Messi is not their only player at all, obviously he is their best player without a question but without him, they are not bottom of the league anymore, before him they were the worst, after him they got some more players and looking strong.

Inter Miami 2-0 New York Red Bull
In this match, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets made their MLS debuts. Without their presence, they appeared very energetic, confident, and dominant. Even without Messi and Busquets on the field, the team seems positive. And positive thing was Inter Miami leading 1-0 from debutante Diego Gómez. It seems like everyone is contributing now, taking lesson from the best. And then, Lionel Messi strikes again! He scores in the 89th minute to confirm another victory for Miami!

But the run that Inter Miami has since Messi and the Spaniards arrived is impressive. Messi has really sparked some enthusiasm and new ambition within the team and the club. I watched the summary of the highlights and when I saw that Messi was awarded a free kick in the last few minutes I thought that this must be the goal he scored, but thank god he is still human and didn't score the next free kick goal Cheesy

But the goal was brilliantly played by him. The pass he chose to make and how he surprised the whole New York Red Bull defense and then scored a goal that looked easy but was challenging in the set up. Playing that pass under pressure was so smart and good to see that his team mates understand his moves better and better. He enjoys the game so much and I think it was the best choice to go to the MLS for him.

I meant that it is not about difficulty of the game, many people talked about how "easy" it was for him to score there, but the point was exactly that, he would be scoring a lot and getting the revenue from people watching that. I think it should be pointed out that this is a long term idea and I feel like he will probably stay in the USA after he retires as well and make a lot of money.

We need to realize that Ronaldo is making a lot of money too, but he is not going to stay at Saudi Arabia and own a team there, that doesn't seem possible, he could go to another nation and buy a club there maybe who knows, or go back to Portugal finally and buy a team there, or maybe not even have a business like that, but Messi can, that's the difference, it is not about getting salary, it is about 10-20 even 40 years down the road.
While the world's most popular players are joining clubs based in Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi has joined the US-based club MLS. Although Messi was offered by clubs in Saudi Arabia at a much higher price, Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami of the MLS League at a much lower rate. In this case, Messi did not only consider the money, but he took a business guarantee for his next life. Although currently Lionel Messi has signed contracts with several business organizations as well as club sponsors and is guaranteed to continue his own business.
However, although different from Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo gave more importance to money towards the end of his career, although money became the main issue at the end of his career. However, he has not yet decided what Cristiano Ronaldo will do after the end of the SPL contract, maybe he will assume some specific responsibility of the SPL and then continue the next career line.

I don't want to believe the public opinion that Lionel went to play in the Major League Soccer because he wanted to go to a league that'll not be too difficult for him to perform very well. The 2022 World Cup winner moved to the MLS after weighing the options at his disposal including lucrative deals from Arabian clubs and that I think was majorly influenced by his relationship with the his current club owner David Beckham.
Inter Miami has also gone to sign his former Barcelona teammates like Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquet.

Between the two of them, they must have considered their best decision by joining the club of their choice. I think Lionel messi also got a stronger extra guarantee as his income and that was also a big factor in him joining inter miami. Maybe what Lionel Messi is after is not money, but he is earning a lot of money here that the media may not know about.

I'm sure Messi is quite happy with Inter Miami, especially since he can play with a number of his colleagues from Barcelona. We're only following from the end of their journey as both of them probably won't be able to play much longer due to their aging factor. Therefore, we can only wait for the skill and beauty of their game before they announce their retirement from football.

This is what was said officially and most of it is true probably, but how do we know that Messi is earning less playing in the MLS than in the SPL? I can imagine that he has created an amazing contract for himself that was compatible with his ambition to become a multi-billionaire. Thinking that he really signed a contract losing out big time is not realistic. But he is contributing amazingly to the league already and I think a lot of people get attracted to watching the game because of him.
