Inter Miami got 4 ex Barcelona players and are looking really good for the rest of the games but i honestly doubt they can reach the playoffs with not many games left. They would need to win almost all of their games to try and get that last position that leads to the playoffs
I wonder if there is a reason only players that Messi has played in Barcelona are being brought to the MLS to join him. Because these are players that he has played with before, they should all have no problems getting used to each other again and being able to play as one team to win the competition as they have done before during their time in Spain. For the supporters of inter Miami it is a good season ahead to hope that their team does better with Lionel Messi and go ahead to win the MLS.

well, after messi, it looks like we'll see more players playing with messi at Inter Miami:

𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋! Jordi Alba joins Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami on free deal

source: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu7nq7YILAn/

currently Inter Miami is one of the worst teams in the MLS they occupy the last position in the table and in the last 11 games of the MLS they will not be able to win in any game, honestly this is beyond being bad, this is a great disaster, how is it possible that a team in 11 games has not managed to win at least 1? it makes me think: what the hell will messi do for such a team? Are they hopeless or will they recover with Messi, Jordi Alb and Sergio Busquets? probably won't change much, maybe they play like they're playing in their backyard

would anyone here have the courage to watch inter miami's game for 90 minutes when they are the worst team and we are talking about a league that is not a big deal? I'm even curious to see messi and busquets play, so I'll see if next month when they play against charlotte I can watch the game, I don't know if the three of them will play in that game, but if they play I'll try to watch it, if the game is nice I'll bet and I'll watch it until the end of the game, of course I'll watch it on TV

Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas has announced that Messi will make his MLS debut on July 21. According to this statement, if there is no surprise development, under normal conditions, Messi will play his first match next week.

MLS will not be one of the best leagues in the world because Messi has transferred to MLS, but just like Ronaldo's influence in Saudi Arabia, this league will become more visible than before thanks to Messi's transfer. As a matter of fact, I read on the news that Miami match tickets, with prices ranging from $800 to $3,500, have already been sold. It is not difficult to predict that the interest in Messi will be high in America.

Yes Inter Miami have announced Messi signing with this tweet on Twitter as well.

Something attracted my attention that Messi prefers to speak in only his own language wherever he goes.  Grin  Anyway as for his transfer to Inter Miami I hope he can make the league much more watchable than before. Of course it is hard to predict if he would show the same performance he has done at PSG for example. But I don't think Messi would be like Ronaldo's current version after leaving Europe. I believe we will still watch a nice work by Messi there.  Smiley

in my opinion messi going to this league is not going to change anything, in the past david beckam also went to this league as other good players did and nothing has changed in terms of popularity and that has a reason: they don't invest much in marketing, it is very different from the case of the saudi arabia league, the arabs knew that cristiano ronaldo is a very popular player, just look at the number of followers he has on instagram, with the signing of cristiano ronaldo Al-Nassr had a huge increase in followers in a few hours and all tv channels were talking about cristiano ronaldo going to Al-Nassr

but messi has always been a very reserved player in terms of fame, so going to that league he doesn't get much attention in that league, we can see that even in this thread, that even people seeing that messi went to this league nobody is posting in this thread , few news channels talk about messi's team, so in my opinion messi will be forgotten in a short time, probably in 1 year people won't talk about him anymore, I believe he knows that and that's what he wants when he goes to play in this league
I'm not completely sure, but it's still a point.
He’s achieved everything. So, he doesn't really need to prove anything. Hopefully he elevates MLS. There's talk about other international players following him at some point, and joining the league because of him. He could become an inspiration for many Americans to play football.

He made a decision to leave Europe so that he can have some fun and spend quality time with his family. It's possible that his main priority is to be with his family and represent his national team in the upcoming Copa tournament. Don't know others, but I'm planning to watch MLS. MLS have Lionel Messi, and I'm sure this time around it'll be quite interesting journey.

Messi being MLS player has less with football and more with afterlife, he wants to settle down in Miami, and part of the contract is possibility for him to take down MLS license (to own a club in the league)
personally, I think that it is better decision that going to Saudi league to play just for money, but every player has his right to chose whatever he wants, both leagues will not bring competitive football after all

can't wait to see his start in Miami, they are lowest ranked team in the league after all, but eyeing several Barca players at the moment
I don't see big difference between MLS and Saudi - both is retirement leagues for stars. Biggest difference that level in MLS is still higher and they can't pay such crazy money. I don't know what should happen that I would turn on Saudi league on TV, but maybe I will try to watch some MLS game if it won't start very late for us in Europe.
It will be interesting to follow Miami with Messi, Busquests and former Barca manager Tata Martino. It would be nice if they would sign Andres Iniesta too.

Leo Messi is an acknowledged footballer in the area, and whatever he does has an impact on the club's prospects. But his arrival in Inter Miami is wonderful news, and their fan base has grown dramatically in recent weeks, thanks to Leo Messi's technical influence.
Leo Messi is a good ambassador for MLS but that league has very strict rules on player salary and they can make exception for Messi but will they do exceptions for other star players?

MLS is surely less attractive than Saudi Professional League if players want to get high salary and tax-free policies. Footballers in Saudi Professional League pay no income tax
There are also benefits that the MLS has over the Saudi league like it having more recognition globally and more quality, so it is a two way thing and it will be down to choices for any player who has interest from clubs in both separate leagues. Lionel Messi moved there, so also has Sergio Busquets, Sergio Ramos may soon follow as there is interest on him from the club, but it is also not the only choice. Saudi club Al Ahli is also interested in bringing him to join Roberto Firmino.

No league can be compared to the English, LaLiga, Seria A, Ligue One and Bundesliga, because they remained the most viewed sports with widely recognition in the world. Fans will begin to pay attention to league outcomes and their clubs as MLS becomes more widely recognized in the football world. This will help transform the league into a popular race, equivalent to Saudi Arabia.
As small leagues, they try to name their leagues as something big, biggest.

China has Chinese Super League and the USA has Major League Soccer (MLS). Do you know any small league has such amplifying name?

The intense competition in these leagues and also the attractive games make it difficult to compete with these leagues globally, but locally, maybe Messi's presence will have an impact on the number of spectators present at the stadium. In every Inter Miami match at their stadium, the number of spectators under 20,000 is only witnessed, and it is not impossible that it will increase because they want to watch Messi compete, especially so far we see that Messi is quite consistent in his game, he is not the type of player who will always run after ball but his presence always has a good impact on the club so Inter Miami fans can increase, but expecting presence to have a global impact on MLS I think that's too much and I don't think he thinks that either because his presence at Inter Miami just wants to continue his career because of the hatred he has the acceptance at PSG as well as the uncertainty from Barca meant he had to make a choice and MLS his choice.

Undoubtedly, Messi will show his influence and increase MLS's popularity. I'm already looking forward to watching Messi's American adventure. I felt like I had fallen into a void as European football was on summer break. I know that MLS will not taste like the Premier League or LaLiga to me. But it will be a very good planning for me to fill my void by following Messi. Actually, I don't need to say my favorite team for the league title this season, my favorites in the league will of course be Messi and Inter Miami. Let's see what kind of season we watch.

there is a big difference between messi and ronaldo, messi is more talented, but he is not the most popular, so this change from messi to usa league will not make the usa league become popular, on the contrary messi will be forgotten by all people and I believe that is exactly what messi wants, he probably wants to live his life away from pressure from news channels and fans, if messi wanted more fame and money he would have gone to saudi arabia, so this is my theory that messi will no longer be popular as he is currently after playing for some time in the US it could come to fruition

I do not agree that Mess would be forgotten since he has moved to the MLS. Maybe that's what he wants, but I doubt he's going to get it. So many people idolize Messi and he will never be forgotten even if he stops playing football today. Messi joining the MLS may not open doors to other players from Europe as it is in the Arabian league, but that is because the MLS doesn't have the kind of money the Arab league has to spend on players.
If we are, to be honest, The Arabian teams are not using Ronaldo joining thing league as a bargaining chip, their money talks.

that's why in my opinion creating a thread about MLS won't attract much attention here on the forum, but speaking in terms of quality I can say that I like to watch MLS games, I don't watch them constantly but I place bets and sometimes I watch the games, they have a very good quality in the teams, they are one of the few leagues in which I like to watch their games when the main leagues in Europe end. if i were to make a comparison between MLS teams with saudi arabia teams i would say that MLS teams play better than saudi arabia teams

The quality of football in the MLS is definitely better than the quality of football in Saudi. It's not debatable.
The MLS has been mainstream for a while. The money might make the Saudi league popular but it won't necessarily increase the quality of football there, The South American leagues have a very high ceiling when it involves the quality of football but they don't have that much money.

Messi is an amazing player no doubt but the league is already playing hard and he isnt playing at all for Inter Miami. Inter is also terrible so far and are on the last place and i dont know how even Messi can help them. The only thing he can do for them is to boost their revenue and that they make money of tickets if he plays.

Messi is an utility player that will always shine if he just has one or two support. He showed this kind of talent at the last world cup by taking challenges to his soldier as they defeated France at the end. This time around, the fortunate thing is that he is not coming to Inter Miami alone, he is coming with a former team mate in Barcelona (Sagio Busquets) and also a former coach of Barcelona, Tata Martino who is already used to Messi both in Barcelona and Argentina. I think the two years contract will help Inter Miami move into a better position in the league from their current 15 position in the table. Who knows before next season, another top flight footballer will join the club because they are really throwing money around.

Due Major League Soccer (MLS) as competition without relegated, better for OP updated permanent about teams participants in this competition, before Lionel Messi joining with MLS League team Inter Miami, has many star player make MLS League as their last competition before retired from football. Are MLS League not really interested because destination for all best player announced retired with MLS League teams?

I don't know what the impact for MLS League after arriving Lionel Messi, how million Lionel Messi's fans will change with MLS League more competitive at the future or not due in United State football is not popular sport than American Football or NBA. Actually in United State they have favorite sport than football and looks with how many star player arrived there can't change with enthusiast for watching football american and NBA than soccer.

so this is my theory that messi will no longer be popular as he is currently after playing for some time in the US it could come to fruition
I doubt that Messi will become less popular from this move, if that is his plan, it will not work so much because already attention has been turned to the league and people are already looking forward to seeing him play in the team.

that's why in my opinion creating a thread about MLS won't attract much attention here on the forum,
This thread will slowly attract attention when Inter Miami starts to play and the league starts. It just needs some time.

if i were to make a comparison between MLS teams with saudi arabia teams i would say that MLS teams play better than saudi arabia teams
Saudia Arabia teams are already making investment to improve the quality of their league, they are bringing in many players and even turning focus now to coaches too, their investment will bring food results on the quality of soccer played in the league.

HI OP, it looks like you have to update this topic because ever since Messi moved to Inter Miami, the world's eyes seem to be on MLS, I'm also still awkward with this league but it seems like this is one of the leagues that must get attention especially Messi is willing to sacrifice big money offers the big deal is just unique to be in inter miami Grin

This is true. the MLS is going to get more attention now because people are going to be expecting big things from Messi.
For the record though, Messi's contract with Inter Miami is a huge one. He will earn $60million a year and he also has a stake in Inter Miami. That's a very big deal.
Inter Miami are also making big moves aside securing Messi's signature. They have signed Barca legend Sergio Busquets and the trying to sign another Barca legend, Jordi Alba.
They have also hired Tata Motino as their new coach after sacking the disasters Neville who took them to the bottom of the table.
Next season looks promising for Inter Miami. lets see what they can achieve

there is a big difference between messi and ronaldo, messi is more talented, but he is not the most popular, so this change from messi to usa league will not make the usa league become popular, on the contrary messi will be forgotten by all people and I believe that is exactly what messi wants, he probably wants to live his life away from pressure from news channels and fans, if messi wanted more fame and money he would have gone to saudi arabia, so this is my theory that messi will no longer be popular as he is currently after playing for some time in the US it could come to fruition
