We are so lucky to be able to watch Messi and Ronaldo play against each other, and they were at the same league for a long time as well so we get to see them fight for the title for so long, between UCL, league, cup and all that we get to see them play against each other all that much.

One generational talent versus another one, over 12+ ballon d'ors between them, and they played so well that they ended up getting all cups together as well. I believe there were seasons where some other players may have been better, but the fact that they were so great up until Ronaldo went to Juventus and started the chain reaction of things that will follow after that. It's really a nice move to see them at the end of their career right now as well.

I still think that the most impressive debut for any player in MLS history must still go to Ibrahimovic. The fact that he got in, and made that very long shot to score as his first goal was insane, and then scored the game winning shot as well it was a header if I remember correctly and if not then it was something like that from a cross.

In the end, Messi will definitely bring a lot of attention to MLS as a whole, not just Inter Miami, but to the whole league and that's why he is getting a revenue share from Apple as well. Just like how before Ronaldo nobody cared about Saudi league, and now everyone is master at which team got which player, I feel like that will be the same thing for MLS as well after Messi arrived there.

The MLS is clearly a stronger league than Saudi league so most likely it will be more difficult for Inter Miami to win the MLS title that easily,Messi is a great player and many say he is the greatest of all time which maybe they are right yet one man alone without a solid strong team behind him means that Inter Miami still will have difficulties to go as far as to win the title.

Let's see though as this is a long league with many teams so who knows maybe Messi will truly make a difference here if he is consistent enough and is helped from his team mates,in here Messi will not be assisted by super star players so I believe he needs some time until he gets used to such play.

I just watched the video highlights of Ibrahimovic's first appearance in MLS and it was an impressive debut for the club and for Ibrahimovic because he managed to bring his club to win by giving two goals and because he is one of the players who is quite famous for being able to score spectacular goals and one of them he created in his debut in MLS.

In the end, Messi will definitely bring a lot of attention to MLS as a whole, not just Inter Miami, but to the whole league and that's why he is getting a revenue share from Apple as well. The brilliant careers of the two players, when they were young, are still an attraction for football lovers so when they have passed their golden age there are still many people who are interested in watching them compete, maybe Ronaldo is more famous because he is more active on social media while Messi looks calmer about that, but both of them have a large fan base, especially now that Inter Miami is still trying to bring in several other players even though they are old, but the MLS is not like the SPL which uses the power of money to change its league to become more famous

Sometimes I just wonder why people debate against something they know it's true in this world, especially on the world of football. Talking about Messi and Ronaldo who's the goat and all that. I'm not going to say I'm a Messi or Ronaldo fan but is clear that one knows how to lead and the other doesn't.
While Ronaldo was busy being humiliated by his former team mate (Angel Di Maria), Messi was busy giving his team mates victory that they haven't had in 6 games (if I'm not mistaken) that win alone is going to motivate the team to come back to winning ways not to talk about the addition of Messi and Sergio Busquet, they'll be a great motivation to the MIAMI side too.
The difference is just clear between Ronaldo and Messi, let's leave sentiment aside, who's has the best quality to lead a team to victory? Or who's a team leader between those two?
The debate about who is the greatest between Ronaldo and Messi can be very stiff and sometimes lead to verbal and physical confrontation. I have seen people engage in physical combat because of this argument. That's why I always avoid this debate because both of them have many loyal fans. How was Ronaldo humiliated by Di Maria, was it because he was dribbled by the Argentine? Dribbling someone is not humiliation because even the best defenders are dribbled.

Messi's first appearance in Inter Miami was impactful and he gave the fans the fun and victory they have not gotten for a long time. I also observed the good relationship between him and other players. He is a good leader and motivator. But he still has a long way to go and we can't predict how his future games will be. Ronaldo is not also doing badly in the Saudi League. Although most of his goals came through penalties, his presence in Al Nassr has not been a bad one.

Major League Soccer (MLS) interested topic for discussing right now after Lionel Messi joining with Inter Miami teams, I don't think any interested before Lionel Messi arrive there due this thread have made last year before Messi become part of Major League Soccer (MLS). The same with Saudi Pro League teams after arriving Cristiano Ronaldo many user interested and discussing there, exactly I know with teams participants between Major League Soccer (MLS) and Saudi Pro League after effect joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

BTW, nice debut for Lionel Messi with Inter Miami, play as substitutes and he was success scoring goals trough free kick on injury time, impressive debut for Lionel Messi because helped Inter Miami won.
Everyone wants to offer these leagues their undivided attention and concentration. Major League Soccer and the Saudi Arabia pro league are perhaps the most talked-about issues right now. They have two of the best GOATs of our time, and their influence is shining brightly and quickly dominating their prospective league. Leo Messi's presence means a lot to MLS side, Inter Miami; everything about the team increases after signing Messi, including their social media platforms and followers, who are all eager to see the GOAT play on the field. He already given them the impression that he would do well in his new club after netting a stunning freekick on his debut.

Maybe we need a new topic? I mean this is 2021 topic. In any case, Messi definitely played some great ball and we all knew that he would be overqualified for that league but it's good to see him actually do good and play as expected. In the end, we are going to see him do fine and I believe that we are going to end up with a good situation one way or another.

Overall, I do not see that much difference between this league and Saudi league to be fair, I am not sure where they are both ranked, maybe they are ranked similar or maybe there is a big difference, but as a casual football fan I am not really all that much aware about the difference, but it looks like Messi played like he was far better than everyone, which Ronaldo hasn't.

Many celebrities from the United States attended Miami to see the debut of Lionel Messi, this is important for American men's soccer, since it needs more coverage compared to other sports in order to grow even more.

And Messi, doing Messi things, nothing more to say.

Like SPL(Saudi Pro League), MSL has bought several famous footballers including Lionel Messi. Before the acquisition of Lionel Messi, the MSL was little known but the club's popularity has grown exponentially since Messi joined Inter Miami. Yesterday was Lionel Messi's first debut match, in the debut match, Lionel Messi scored an amazing free kick to win Inter Miami. I'm a Messi fan as always, so I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's game, but Lionel Messi made his debut in the 54th minute and Lionel Messi's free kick in the 95th minute sealed the win for Inter Miami.
Wow, what a goal by Messi! That free kick was absolutely incredible and left everyone amazed.
This team played like units in the first half, and making sure holds lead for the legends. Messi came through once again with his exceptional skills. If they can add some strong defensive players to their lineup, there's no doubt they can win it all. It's interesting how Messi's arrival has turned things around for Inter Miami, before they had been struggling 11 games without a win. MLS and Inter Miami are truly fortunate to have him on their side. The team is now experiencing a winning mentality, inspired by him.

MIAMI Vs CRUZ AZUL (2:1)

Lionel Messi's debut for Inter Miami was a great win. Inter Miami's best player Lionel Messi scored a brilliant free kick on his debut in Cruz Azul's game against Inter Miami today. The two teams were level on goal before 90 minutes but Inter Miami were awarded a free kick after Messi was fouled outside the D box. Lionel Messi scored a great goal from that free kick and that goal is Lionel Messi's first debut goal.
This was the first win for Lionel Messi in his debut match to defend Inter Miami and at the same time won a dramatic victory. After 6 times in a row, Inter Miami never won and through this match, Inter Miami finally won its first victory. I think Messi's experience is beyond doubt and even though he came on in the second half he could have a real impact on the whole team. The free kick goal from Messi was extraordinary, especially since it was scored in the injury time before the match ended. The fans are very happy with this result and I hope that Inter Miami can continue to show the next winning trend.
I never watch matches from MLS teams, I also missed the match between Inter Miami vs Cruz Azul but because a lot of media reported this I immediately saw the footage of this match, and indeed all the media highlighted Lionel Messi who won Inter Miami with a free kick outside the penalty, I said Lionel Messi did perfectly on the free kick and see how the fans rumbled after Messi scored, the first time Messi played he also scored for the first time in his new team Inter Miami.
To be honest I haven't watched an MLS game either and maybe since Lionel Messi's arrival to Inter Miami will attract more people to witness his magic again. Talking about Inter Miami's match against Cruz Azul, actually it's not an MLS match but it's a cup south league competition and these two teams are in the same group at the moment. This cup south league competition is held by CONCACAF and we can know that this is a combination of many teams located around north, central america and the caribbean, but if I am wrong please correct me.

Regardless of all that Lionel Messi is still proving his sharpness in playing football and at the age of 36 he is also still very stable to be able to compete with other young players. We hope that MLS will be even busier with the arrival of Lionel Messi and can provide interesting entertainment for the country known as Soccer.

What a perfect start for Messi to start new career chapter in Miami. Epic free kick goal on last minutes that let his team to win. What can be better? Especially considering that in recent years Messi scored very few goals from free kick.
Also, Miami signed Jordi Alba and you already can feel vibes from golden times of Barcelona. If they would sign Suarez and Iniesta it would be even more interesting.
Looking at significant personalities who attended the stadium to watch Leo Messi play for his new team. Sergio Aguero, LeBron James, Kim Kardashian, and others are among them. Making his debut and also scoring one of the most incredible freekick goals in pre-season is an excellent means to characterize this GOAT. Inter Miami has one of the finest players of all time at their management; they are exceptionally privileged to have him; he is one of the few high-quality players in football. He appeared in all of the biggest competitive competitions, and MLS is undoubtedly a league that is quite comfortable for Leo Messi.

Messi made his first match debut by scoring a goal and it was a pretty good start for his career in MLS. I think it will be even more interesting for us to follow the developments that have taken place in MLS after Lionel Messi has joined Inter Miami. Now seeing his first goal which brought a big change or brought Inter miami to victory, of course, made Lionel Messi a big hero for Inter miami in this match.

I think Lionel Messi will score a lot of goals with inter miami because this league is easier than Ligue 1 or Laliga. Yes, it really seems like there are nuances of the Barcelona era in the Inter Miami team because if the management can bring in Luis Suarez, it is certain that Inter Miami will regenerate the previous form of strength that we saw at Barcelona. However, in bringing in Luis Suarez, it seems that Inter Miami will have to pay a high price to convince Gremio to release Luis Suarez to Inter Miami. In fact I think Suarez was quite interested in reuniting with Lionel messi during his career.

Messi being MLS player has less with football and more with afterlife, he wants to settle down in Miami, and part of the contract is possibility for him to take down MLS license (to own a club in the league)
personally, I think that it is better decision that going to Saudi league to play just for money, but every player has his right to chose whatever he wants, both leagues will not bring competitive football after all

can't wait to see his start in Miami, they are lowest ranked team in the league after all, but eyeing several Barca players at the moment

Messi is a super star in football and any club in any league around the world must make reservations to his demands no matter how high so far they're capable of tabling the fee, even if it means them going against their transfer policy to get his signature, he's going to be very influential, not only to the club he signed for but to MLS in general because his present in the league would attract more audience to start giving attention to the league and increasing the fanbase of his team, also he's a great player and would beneficial to his team in and out of the field
The name Lionel Messi is a brand and would attract investors to come into the league also his Club would benefit highly from shirt sales and a good number of fans would turn up to watch him both home and away thereby causing rapid sale of tickets, compared to c Ronaldo that's made the Saudi Pro League very popular Messi arrival is also going to increase the popularity level of the MLS as well, his presence has also impacted the signing of some other quality players like Jordi Alba and Busquest am more will likely join shortly.

Spectacular goal from Messi in the last minute,i watched that free kick a couple of times and simply incredible on his debut. This wasnt a goal in the MLS league but its still an official goal so that is what matters. Messi already showed his elite quality in just 40 minutes of play.
There was a great free kick in the last minute but sadly Lionel Messi was not brought on from the start of the game but was brought on in the 54th minute and his superb performance eventually sealed the win for Inter Miami. However, if the team management had brought Lionel Messi into the field from the beginning of the game, Inter Miami would not have won in the last minute but would have secured the victory much earlier. In any case, Lionel Messi's Debut match for Inter Miami won for Inter Miami with an outstanding performance, it will be a different find for Lionel Messi.
That was a indeed brilliant free kick scored by Messi that caught Cruz Azul goalkeeper napping, what a goal scored in 94th minutes to seal the win for Inter Miami who are winless in 11 matches, Messi brought his characteristic magic to the team he is such a talented player scored in his debut to secure the win for his new club and I am very sure Inter Miami will become one of the most popular club in MLS  because of the presence of Messi and consequently MLS will gain more global coverage because of his fans across the globe will glue to their TV set to watch his matches.
Before Messi appeared, Inter Miami was in lousy form. They went through 11 games without a win in the MLS, ranked at the bottom. The 36-year-old superstar is expected to breathe new life into the team. Although he entered the field from the bench, he still attracted all the attention. In injury time, Inter Miami fans on Lockhart field burst into tears at the moment of Messi's genius free-kick. It was a free kick familiar to him but new to Inter Miami. Messi looks to have made his perfect debut for Inter Miami.

However, perhaps Messi needs more time to adapt to Miami's tactics.

I don't think there's really any new tactics Messi may be in a hurry to learn. He mostly needs to get familiar with his new team mates and the adaptation happens automatically.
He is such a big player that the team would have to adapt to his style, his runs, his passes, his positioning.

The free kick from him was incredible, it's nothing new for him and we are yet to see more. In his time, the players would definitely improve and be more creative in finding the back of the net.

The idea of bigger retiring players signing for smaller teams is one great football development strategy that has helped China, Saudi Arabia, U.S to develop the sport.

Some people still have the argument that it was a scripted game to favor Messi on his debut. I wonder why Greatness can be so hurting to some people. Most of the people who say this and have this at heart are those that did not even watch the game. It was a well taken freekick from Lionel Messi, not scripted but hyped a lot because it is Lionel Messi in a new league. The media likes Messi, so the goal was everywhere. Ronaldo who the media seem to have a problem with scored a similar freekick goal from almost the same distance in the Saudi professional league, but there was no hype on it.

So Messi's goal was not scripted just as Ronaldo's own was not too, the difference in the two cases is just the media, how the media hyped one and how they made common the other.

Scripted? That is the first thing I hear about it and I really doubt it. the MLS and Inter Miami is going to have a lot of fun (and make a lot of money) with the presence of Messi, that is for sure. Didn't watch the match, only saw the brilliant freekick of Messi

No one of us from Europe saw the game most probably but we all headed to that spectacular hit of the free kick from Messi.Unfortunately here in the MLS the competition is not that strong as we all who are soccer fans would love to be so hopefully with the coming of Messi in not one of the best and dominating teams in the MLS to spark some fire and to make this league better to watch,I know Ronaldo has done so where he has gone in Saudi Arabia so hopefully even Messi can do the same although I must admit this is a much stronger league than that of Saudi Arabia.
