It's relative, like everything else in gambling. Let's say you took a long time to analyze a match and totally focused yourself on this game in particular. Is it a guarantee you are going to win the bet? Of course not! Meanwhile, another gambler who used the same length of time you did, but to analyze three matches instead of one, may win all his picks, or let's say at least two of them, while you didn't win the single bet you were highly confident about.

So what is more worthful to be done? If we take specific cases to analyze we won't reach to any conclusions, because there is every kind of outcomes happening in real time. It only shows luck is decisive in gambling. Strategies remain in second plan.

No, chance to win is always 50-50 as long as you bet on equal match, not huge underdog.

If you only bet on one match, it means either you win 100% or lose 100%.

However bet on many matches is kind of diversification, I guess if you not forcing yourself to bet on match where you're not familiar, there's nothing wrong to bet on many matches.

that's true but from my experience it has two directions.
initially I bet on esports betting in dota 2 routinely betting on single bets and every day I had 2-4 betting slips but all of them won and the total amount that I remember from several bets that I made regularly almost all of them won and I got quite a big profit for me and currently I still have all the pictures of my winnings.

but after I was tempted to bet on soccer betting, I tried betting regularly but the results were almost the same, between losses and wins.

after that, I learned from the experience I had that actually the chance of winning is not because we make too many choices, but as long as we focus on predicting, analyzing slowly and mastering certain sports knowledge, the chance of winning is definitely big, but still sometimes surprises ruin the betting slip.

I think I have seen a similar topic like this here, something about odd accumulation and single bets and the one that pay well but since you asked, I will drop my opinion.

When you see gamblers play many odds to win a bet, not like they don't know what they are doing or they are greedy, some are though but logically, some gamblers are very calculative and they are good history of betting on their name, luckily bets does favour them and they win this bets even with many picks. They are good in lower line picks of games and when do picked games, the ones I know don't pick footballs but prefer games like handball, basketball, crickets, hockey, table tennis, think of other sports that people don't gamble much, that's what they accumulated together to bet and because people don't gamble them that much, they win than the times they lose. But only few football/soccer guys I have seen win from many picks.

As single bet, people see it as way of making fun, in fact people that see gambling as fun do this most of the time because they don't have that time to be going down leagues to pick games just to win, it's the addicted and gamblers that see gambling as a business that does the many picks.

That should be obvious since our we are limited to the amount of information we can process and it also takes a bit of time to gather the relevant data that you need before making a bet. Picking teams on ML is probably the fastest and the "laziest" way to do it compared to betting on handicap or outrights.

Making too many picks reduces ones chances of wining and this is true. I am here typing and wondering how many many picks will be classified as too many picks. Maybe it should be more than 3 matches. Anyone who accumulates more than 5 games knows the amount of risk that they can handle and they have accepted that if they lose, they lose. The risk of losing increases as the number of games increases.

In football games, when I pick 3 games, I look at the odds carefully. If it goes higher than that, I know that I have stepped into the danger zone.

It's one of the reasons I consistently stick to making one or two picks at a time before making another bet because all it takes is one day of bad luck, and if you have a greedy betting style you could be down by 20% or more. Placing more picks can become unnecessary as most matches aren't easy to predict regardless of the information available, and there are always better matches scheduled on the other days of the week.

A few weeks ago, I was participating in a sports betting contest, and I was placing around 3-5 picks that were starting around the same hour, and the worst thing happened, which was losing more than 60% despite betting on odds that aren't higher than +100.

But the reason why I bet a few picks is because I have a limited budget and not because it will decrease my chance of winning. If I have more than enough to bet for them all I would probably do it unless I see there is a 50/50 chance of the team winning. It depends though, I do bet mostly on singles, but I weigh some of my bets whether it will give me a great profit on a single one, or spread it across like 2 or more single bets. You don't need an opinion from experts before knowing this because it's something every gambler is experiencing on a norms. If you are a regular gambler, trace back your bets history and compare tickets that have less picks and the ones with much picks and then compare their success rate. Even if you have time to analyze all the games you would pick, it's not advisable having too many in a single ticket because analysis are not always accurate.

Especially in sport betting, less picks are much better when you go for the smart ones. Personally, I do select moderate odds when making my bets, not too less and not too much because despite that less odds have high chances of winning, I do see staking on the odds like 1.5 to 2 as wasting of time and resources. It's not profitable and very painful if you still lost the ticket eventually.


Single match? How many odds one can accumulate in a single match? Probably 2-3 odds at must. I see this strategy too risky because it's obvious you're risky more to win less. Definitely not going to work for me unless I deliberately wish to do giveaway to bookmakers.

Well, some people wanted to push the boundaries of their luck by trying to bet on most of the games that they see. But I'm sure you will like the quantity more because you want more wins, for example 10 stump bets that win 7 then you will still be profitable.

The comparison can be described as follows: those who carry out analysis very skillfully still often experience defeat, especially those who approach it in a careless way without carrying out a mature enough analysis. Maybe let alone achieving victory, but even getting close to it is impossible. Unless, of course, the person has extraordinary luck.

I don't think this is coming from experts or you give out the link. Professional gamblers which could be regarded as the experts know better. They know better that the chances of winning multiple bet reduces when you accumulate games and not for the flimsy excuse of not analysing properly. If you have accumulated game of 20 for example, 2 games might fail remaining 18 games that will win, so if you had played just that 18 games and left out the two losing games it means you would have won. That is a possibility and probability. So likewise if you have accumulated 10 games and 5 didn't succeed that means you got 5 games correctly, it means if you played just those 5 games you would have won. What about accumulating 5 games and you won three out of it, it means if you had played just the three then you would have won. It is a simple mathematical example that the fewer games you accumulate to play the higher your winning chances and the higher accumulation you make the lower your chances of winning. Consequently, it is not just about having time to analyse the games but by considering certain factors and probabilities to win.


The advantage to win bets reduce when you bet on multiple games. So going for a single bet or few games increases probability of winning.

Having few games as single bet is better than parlays that a single bet will destroy all the other matches. But what that matters most is the calculation of the money that you can afford to put on the match that you selected. Let us assume you can afford to risk $5 on a single bet. You should be able to afford $1 for five matches individually. If the person wants to go for parlays, $0.5 should be enough to accumulate five matches to earn almost the same money that those single games can give you, but the risk is high while the money used is far lower because it is 10 times lower.

Well, I don't agree totally with this. For long I always bought on the idea that placing bets on bigger Odds may increase chances of winning more often. This way, you will be able to stake same amount and have a greater chance on your odds winning.
Of course making lots of picks on chances during gambling reduces chances on winning. However the more chances you make the higher your odds which makes the potential win for your stakes higher.
Some people may decide to stake on smaller odds to increase their winning chances while others  are willing to stake on higher odds even if the winning chances are thinner. The most important thing is that you stake and gamble responsibly.

That is true but it is also one factor that reflects your personality as it shows what are you aiming for,a single bet to win and be happy with that max of 3-10x multiplier or are you betting like 25 games in a single parlay trying your luck in wanting to hit that super huge multiplier which we see more in slot machines rather than in sport betting.Of course the more picks the less chances but the amount to be won is huge so it all depends on what is your reason and what you want to win.

In sport betting, this might be true, and we have seen parlays being destroyed by just one game. And so if you just bet on a couple of single bets you might have to win, like 2 out 3 bets, for sure you will be in the positive.

But for games like lets say roulette, wherein it's better to bet like 10 numbers straight out of 36 on a single zeroes, you might still take some profits and then rinse and repeat. And if you're lucky, you can hit single numbers successfully and win big.

I can understand you now. It is not also good to go for several matches in a day. One or two are enough. I prefer just one or two matches in a week.

Where I noticed I gamble in single matches like this in the past are in-play. I always busy myself with in-play in the past but I do not have time to now. I will not even encourage people to gamble that much because the person will most likely lose than gain.
