his accusation says that he 'risked' 1.5BTC on me.

That's fraudulent. Make a thread about it.

Garr255 came back fine from a negative rating. Also try bitcoin-otc.

Tradefortress has recently come after me on this trust system.  He's apparently irked about something on coinchat.  He doesn't respond to pms but his accusation says that he 'risked' 1.5BTC on me.  As I've never received any btc from him on this forum personally, and he has me blocked for pming him, I have no idea what to do about this accusation.

Another point is that I've never bought or sold any bitcoins, ever.  Now that tradefortress, a "VIP" member has branded me as untrustworthy, I suppose that trading on here isn't an option for me if I were to be interested in the future.

Seems to me that the trust system is too subject to abuse by powerful members of the forum.  I'm not sure what to do or how to resolve the attack on my reputation by a a powerful user here who even has my pms blocked.

Best thing to do is empty your trust list, set trust depth to 0 and then add people one by one.

It would be great if the trust rating of the person posting was displayed next to their thread post. So i dont have to click on the thread to see that it was posted by a scammer. That would be donation worthy to me  Smiley

It is visible where it's needed the most —  in the Marketplace board and its child boards and in the Trading discussion board and its child boards.

Someones character should always be important.

I want to see it in the "started by" and "most recent post" columns. That way I know if a scammer started the thread or if a scammer replied to it..

Really every time someones name appears so should their trust rating.

The whole Trust thing is just STUPID.

Huh. That could be useful. Maybe a checkbox option in profile menu to turn it grey like an ignored person's, or grey out the OPs name in thread-browsing, or red it out. Something simple to let people know there's something up before they even click without being too in-your-face.

An option to automatically ignore people with a negative overall rating might be interesting, too. Maybe the server would maintain the list, a user can click "add negatively-repped members," and have the list populate from server data. This would also achieve the effect of graying out neg-repped OPs.

I wasn't to happy when i found out about default trust especially when I found out trade fortress had default trust.

"Man you guys are f@#$%d... I didnt realize what was meant by default trust.... f!@# you I dont trust any off you insiders. Especially TradeFortress there are numerous scammer threads about him... He is a lender! I dont trust lenders of coin!  I trust who I trust not who you think I should trust. Shit is bullshit."

Where is the discussion and basis for the Default Trust list?

It's a real slap in the face to see the guy who scammed me out of 28 BTC listed in the default trust list and my gut instinct is to distrust the person who puts this mistrust system on people as a default.

That was Theymos. He made everyone use his list as default. I and maybe one or two others thought it was a bad idea.

Lol good one

Well i totally have no clue how this trust works i tried to set trust at someone but have no clue if it worked or not

This trust should be much easier to add or remove

Like just clicking + or - signs to add or remove trust and give it a max of 3 to 5 in either direction
And add advanced option to give the posibility to explain why you gave that rating.

Ofcourse now you can say your lazy and i would answer immediate yes i am xD
I want all to be done for me, instead of me lifting my lazy ass from my luxory chair and/or move my fingers more then 10 millimeters
Just typing this message make me so tired i need to rest 2 months in my warm bed to recover

entering something else did nothing, it just went back to default trust.

setting depth to one makes the list smaller and setting it to zero eliminates it

I like the concept of the trust system but really dislike the concept of a default trust list. Who says theymos knows who to trust and who not to? How do we know that he's not taking into account things like forum donations or private agreements/transactions when deciding who gets a place on the default list?

I will slowly add people to my trust list over time. I've been lurking on this forum for a long while now but I would still need to do extensive research on a case-by-case basis to determine who I trust.

I certainly see people on the default list that I specifically distrust, based on my own observations of their behavior over the last two years lurking on this forum.

Is there anyway to remove the default trust?

Is anyone selling trust feedback I can pay 0.01

Lol, I'm sure you can get people to leave you feedback for 80 cents.

If he's honestly paying, he could send first & the trust will be earned (he paid the promised .01 BTC (watch that decimal, it's 8 bucks & i like your new pic Smiley )

Note that i am not saying that people should trust people with 0 trust. Remember: TRUST NO ONE

Just, trust 0 is just that: trust 0. Not positive, not negative. Why changing color? A different color means something other than "0".
