^^ Yep.

Hint for all incompetent political leaders: when you have no idea what to do with your country's decaying economy, start selling IT fairytales to the people.

Ukraine, and especially Kiev, is really hoping to position itself as the Silicon Valley of Europe. They already have a huge amount of skilled IT professionals, and even have Bitcoin support at over 4,000 ATMs around Ukraine.

Looks like everyone wants to become a new mecca for IT industry nowadays...  Roll Eyes

What they don't realize is coder and software developers are getting cheaper everyday in India and China.

It is a race to the bottom when it come to IT industry.

This will go to paying back 5 billion dollars worth of Ukrainian state bonds that Russia bought a few years back to help keep Ukrainian economy afloat, as well as for the gas debt. It will also go (and not be enough) to offset the 60% of GDP worth of revenue that Ukraine had from its trade with Russia.

Europarliament will ratify the agreement about Ukraine's association with EU using a sped-up procedure. They say that this agreement is vitally important right now (never mind the genocide in the East):
http://itar-tass.com/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/1410904?utm_medium=rss20

I guess they are not that sure that Poroshenko will stay in power for much longer and that the next Ukrainian president will be eager for EU association.

So, those Eastern Ukrainians were just sitting around, minding their own business, and then suddenly Ukraine rolled in with tanks and soldiers and started shooting everyone? And where is all that Russian aid that they're supposedly providing to the embattled eastern Ukrainians? So far all we've seen is weapons and rockets to shoot down civilian planes with.

By the way, with all this "Western Media" bullshit, you guys are starting to sound like Islamic extremists.

yea right the same that USA, Israel & EU funded and trained with their 'rich' buddies from Qatar and Saudi Arabia... those fucking mercenaires that are PAID to scream allah ouakbar!

An interesting Op-Edge on RT:

‘Poroshenko wants to internationalize the situation and turn it into a conflict between Ukraine and Russia’
http://rt.com/op-edge/183112-russia-ukraine-crisis-negotiations-gas/

Quote
Russia does not consider itself party to the conflict in Ukraine, seeing it as a conflict between the Eastern Ukrainians and the Kiev, while Poroshenko’s analysis of the situation is totally different, legal expert and blogger Alexander Mercouris told RT.

...

RT: Why do you think Vladimir Putin devoted most of his opening speech to economics, unlike his Ukrainian counterpart, who right away spoke about the conflict in Ukraine?

AM: The fundamental difference is that the Russians do not consider themselves to be a party to the conflict in Ukraine. They see the conflict there as a conflict between the people in the Eastern Ukraine and the authorities who came to power in Kiev in February. So their analysis of the situation is totally different from the one of Poroshenko and of the people in Kiev who want to internationalize the question and turn it into a conflict between Ukraine and Russia. That is why you see a totally different approach from the two presidents.

So far Russia managed to not get involved, except for sending a few trucks with humanitarian aid to the genocided Russian population of the East-Ukraine, and getting hit by the sanctions for a few of its diplomatic efforts at initiating peace process.  I hope for the world in general that Russia will continue to deny NATO warmongers the pleasure of creating WWIII, and stay strictly on the diplomatic level.

Judging by the reactions from the Russians, there is hope:

Most Russians see Ukrainian turmoil as civil war - poll
http://rt.com/politics/182860-russia-ukraine-civil-poll/

Quote
Almost 60 percent of Russians consider the current crisis in Ukraine a civil war, and the same share of those polled do not expect the strain in Russia-Ukraine relations to develop into a ‘hot’ military conflict.

A few days ago a well-renowned German economist, industrialist and a former owner of a multinational company Vorstandschef der Thyssen AG, Dieter Spethmann, published an open letter addressing the German politicians to open their eyes on the events in Ukraine. He first tried to publish his open letter in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, but was declined. He published his letter then in Geolitico:

http://www.geolitico.de/2014/08/22/berlin-und-der-krieg-der-kiew-junta/
Google translate

One of the aspects that he draw the attention of the Germany’s politicians to, is that Yatsenjuk and the coup-government always make their announcements against the background of Ukrainian and EU flags. The fact that Europe keeps silent about the atrocities committed in East-Ukraine, and gives a silent go-ahead to commit them under the EU flag, makes EU complicit in these atrocities. The politicians of EU will do well in re-reading the verdicts of the Nürenberg process.

Then, there is this Dutch open letter, translated into three other languages:
http://ommekeer-nederland.nl/brief-met-excuses-aan-president-putin/
People's comments there are well worth reading as well. Many pleas from Russia to Europe to stop the madness and open its eyes.

Also on topic this digest blog post:

Dear Friends: I am pleased to be able to share with you this revealing article written for our website by the editor of an important website in Germany.

Washington’s lies echoed by the presstitute media that serves Washington are destroying Washington’s credibility and that of the Western media among Europeans, especially Germans who understand that the threat to peace comes from across the Atlantic, not from east of the Oder River.

The success or failure of Vladimir Putin’s bet that reasonable diplomacy and unprovocative behavior on Russia’s part will contrast favorably with the shrill provocations by Washington depends upon whether European politicians respond to their own citizens or continue in their role as Washington’s whores.  PCR

Nothing revolutionary after Poroshenko-Putin meeting in Minsk:

“We didn’t substantively discuss that, and we, Russia, can’t substantively discuss the conditions for a ceasefire, or agreements between Kiev, Donetsk and Luhansk. That’s not our business, it’s up to Ukraine itself," Putin told reporters early Wednesday.

NEWSFLASH: Outsider visits someone with personal experience, and is surprised when all that same propaganda that the insider has heard many times before is angrily dismissed as propaganda. Tomorrow, watch as a Spanish Catholic priest is appealed at the angry African's "rude behavior" after telling him that condoms should be avoided because AIDS is not a problem in Africa.

AIDS is the least of their problem in africa.
[/quote]

Uh, what's your point? You agree that they shouldn't use condoms because it's a sin and AIDS isn't a problem? Not sure why the level of its problem is, relevant, since my point is that people get pissed when others who have no idea what their life is like spread bullshit and lies against them as if they know better.

It was strange day... I've met my old friend two days ago, I didn't talk with him during last year... I was surprised and disappointed a bit. I have no idea how they're doing this, but his rhetoric was identical with used by some maidan trolls. He used all typical cliches like "Putler", "europe will help us", etc.  He refused to answer any questions directrly through constant changing of subject. Besides this, I heared many interesting things about myself, like "you're a zombie and victim of propaganda", "fucking idiot putinist" etc.

If you have nothing to say then it's better to be silent rather than make senseless statements. I'm sorry for crash of another illusion right now, but in this context you are the only outsider. Smiley
