The gambling licence question is a very interesting one, quite a discussion.

In fact, it is something of a philosophical debate in our particular case, as our strategy has been from the start to only provide games which are provably fair, that is they can be 100% proved that the result is fair and not possible to be tampered with by either the player or the server in any way. In this way, we use cryptography, mathematics and the blockchain (the Bitcoin blockchain in the case of our provably fair lottery games) to provide absolute trust in the fairness of the game.

A gambling licence is needed for "custodial" type games, where some casino provider has full control of the outcome of the game (so the games aren't provable with maths/crypto) - so to trust that casino provider, a gambling licence test center tests the games and reviews system (to the degree possible) and then a licence is issued to say "yes, in our opinion these games are fair".

Now, is such an opinion necessary in the case of provably fair games, when any and every person on the internet is able to verify the fair outcome of each game using the tools and explanation provided?

So the questions is something more like the debate of fiat vs crypto in fact  - one is centralized and corporate/government controlled, while the other is decentralized and the trust is in the mathematics of cryptography ("vires in numeris").

License has nothing to do with trust if you ask me, there are some trusted casinos in this forum while they have no licenses.
Trust is given by customers not earned by the casinos by having licenses.

A gambling license is very important. For carrying out the gambling activities, but also for the trust and safety of the customers.
