Begging  merit are against the rules but not too excessive as per theymos rule and I think it is possible depending on the proper agreement of both members without breaking the rules.
Begging for merits will put beggers under extremely high risks of tagging, reporting by other users and/ or moderators, then their accounts might be banned (temporarily or permanently depends on level of abusement).

If users (newcomers in particular) want to get merits legally, they should stay tuned, eagerly to learn, keep improving daily, then they will get want you want in the future. I am not sure how long till the day they get first merit point, but it will come for sure.

Scoring 10 merits is considered too difficult  Grin How about 100 to get Full member and 250 to rank up to Sr.Huh That, according to ur classification is "almost impossible", huh? And to hero member??

It is hard but certainly doable, just 10 merits. Higher ranks could be really discouraged by your post but I hope they're not. I think another 98 merits will take me a couple of years, but I don't care. I wouldn't risk my trust trying to beg for merits or exchange it with another account. I did it once for a courtesy act before I realized it against the rules.

So I joined a signature campaign and they removed JR. Member bounties. Now I am having a problem on how to be a Member ranked. I just learned that I need 10 merits to have a member rank. So to any JR. Member here, let's do our best to make quality content so that someone will recognize our efforts in making our community better.

If anyone can provide a link to people giving merits after doing something good or productive please give link so I can earn merits not by asking people but because of my effort and for JR. Members to have a reference too.

Thank you so much. Have a nice day  Smiley

Yes, it is so hard to rank up now to Member ranked, because you need a valuable post, or make sense to this forum. You need a lot of effort to gain merit and it is true that you cannot earn merit by just asking them but your post is just like a poor post. Goodluck to everyone also Member ranked like me is so difficult to get to Full Member ranked.

I think majority of us really thinks that merit requiremnt is too difficult for us to rank our positions. But if we are striving to contribute our knowledge with best efforts in sharing quality posts, there should be no worries, because somehow we could inspire others for them to give us merits through our good quality posts.

Totally agree. I am afraid admin even wont check our constructive post.
Actually, it is not screened by admin, but by other users, motsly by higher-qualitied users who has more experience in the forum, knowledgeable enough to judge which posts are high-quality, constructive and deserved to earn merits.
Your task is keep composing as good posts as you can. That's it. Merits will come sometimes when you don't care about that at all.

Keep working and good luck.

It is really difficult to get merit not only for jr. member but also to everyone here because even there were a lot of quality posts, they were not merited maybe because the post was not recognized or read by users since there a lot of other posts in the forum. I think the best that we can do is to try very hard to make a quality post that can be recognized by many readers or users.
I think I know the threads that you are talking about since most of them are mega threads in the Bitcoin Discussion and Economics Section. A lot of posts there are not being read by the members since most of them are not really a good posts and already being said by the recent posts. I think if you will be posting there every now and then, be sure not to post on what the campaign managers call "megathreads". There is a lot of other sections here you can post where you can gain merit.

Some users here they mostly repeated to post at that section "Bitcoin dicussion, Trading discussion and Economics section", try to explore other section so that you better know about here in forum and to have make a quality post and gain smerit. Hopefully those higher ranks members here please help these lower ranks member in order to rank up not by meriting to the account that you already know or those close to you. Legendary and Heroe members please help them so that they got rank up even full member or to member for those deserving that have a quality post.

Quality posting and creating of new interesting threads may help you to get those 10 Merits in a moment. 10 is actually not such big challenge, there are a lot of members who's target are much higher than yours, mine, for example is 145 Merits and it is constantly not going haha for now Cheesy
Actually even how good quality of post you have if you are not famous or knowing by the other people in bitcointalk community you can't get merits. If you notice all of us have a point in terms explaining our side. But almost all of them can't appreciate our post. In Jr. Member how hard to earn 10 merits compared to Full Member and other higher ranks. I was already Full member but due to merit I was not ranked up but it's okay maybe I was not enough knowledge to ranked up.
it's not that you CAN'T and it's not like the famous one's got their popularity as soon as they register in the forum. They got it through the time and contribution they have made for bitcointalk. You even got 10 merits after its implementation, does it mean you're famous? no. It just mean that someone recognized your contribution in the forum, and that's how it is for everyone else.

Actually, this link will help you in ranking up your account. But, Seriously, we should post and comment to the threads in able for us to have merits because the moderator always monitoring us if he/she will give us merit or not. In some other cases, We should try to contact other people on how to get merit faster than the standard one.
This is risky to choose faster methods, which mostly illegal, to get merits. The only way, and safe one for you to rank up with legal merits is to keep contributing to the forum with constructive, high quality, helpful posts. Of course, there are several different ways to do this, including making infographics rather than traditional posts.
To sum up, you should choose the right way to rank up. The promotion process will take time, but it's good too because you also need more time to grow up, to collect more knowledge, more experience, more necessary skills.
Don't greedy and put your account under risk of banning.

You should demonstrate your ability to contribute to the forum by writing constructive, helpful, and high quality posts. In my opinion, it's not hard to rank up to Member rank (which is also your next rank). To be ranked up to this rank, you and me need only 10 merits. As you can see, I have got 1 merit after writing 10 posts, so in a word I can say that it is possible task. It's not easy but you can do it.
On the other hand, merits are not the main purpose we are here, right? I am not sure about your main objectives by joining the forum, but I have joined it because it can help me to learn valuable things about crypto-currency and blockchain technology from genuine users.

yes, of course with the new forum rules, many beginners who find it difficult for earn revenue from the forum, they must work more maximal if you want to go up the rankings, by making a post that is a solution, build, and not spam.

I suggest  you, for beginners better looking for campaign besides the signature, facebook, tweeter, and blog. manager atriz always provides a great allocation for social media.
This is sort of a real job in real world because we won't be able to be promoted if we don't work hard for it so as our positions gets high the salary will increase too same like the merit system here in forum. I think its not that easy to received a merits from anyone but prove them that you can get it by posting a quality and constructive post that can benefit to everyone.
