Anybody that uses SMOS knows it's $2.00 per rig per month.

WOW $2.00 Go to Ethos and try. $2.00 is nothing. When you got over thousands of dollars in 1 rig.

Because I paid for SMOS already.

Who told you it was 2$ I paid?

I used EthOS, still using in one rig, but there you also need to wait until new version of miners are published. My reason to try SMOS was easy undervolt my Rx470 cards so easy just like in OverDriveNtool under Windows.
Of course 2GB RAM and 8GB USB stick is enough for any mining linux distro, so I am fine with SMOS now. And price... come on... $2? In EthOS you have to pay much more for just a try...

Then why aren't you using Ethos then? Shocked

What gets me is all of the one's that keep crying update the miners. Then when he does all the same that where crying, start crying again that there hash rate dropped. And blame SMOS! The drop was because of the new miner wasn't that good!!!! And you cheap ass bastards want alot for a lousy $2.00 a month.

I also don`t understand why they are not updating to latest miners. Ethos lets you update miners yourself any time.

well you could say it was a head to head while I figured things out. the competitor has had the newer miner for a while which is needed for new algo and I'm ready to make the switch, so it looks like I will be going that route.

Is there a way to pause a rig?  It seems like it should be really easy, but I can't find any way to do it without powering down the rig.

Just load a Magic Packet application on the laptop. Turn on WOL in the BIOS of the machine you want to wake. Magic packet is sent to MAC address of NIC on the station that needs to be woke up.

Wake On Lan
Does anyone know how we can execute a wake on lan to boot up a pc running simpleOS?
I have 5 rigs and all are set to boot if power is lost but one of my rigs refuses to reboot after a power loss
so i am stuck with trying another option and ran across wake on lan but all the instructions online point to
doing some extra steps inside the os. My rigs are on a remote site and i have a laptop running 24/7 in the same
local network so just wanted to see if i can use that laptop to wake up the rigs that refuse to start.

Hi guys, my first touch with SMOS, but not the first touch to mining.
I am surprised I am finally able to undervolt similar like we use to do so under OverDriveNtool in Windows.
Currently I am running 12x Sapphire Rx470 8GB SAMSUNG, overclocking set to core 1120, mem 2150, undervolt 820, powerstage 3 and Claymore11.1.
Having fantastic score 361Mhps @ 2050W (30+Mh/s; 168W per card).
I was able to run 1260/2200 at 900mV powerstage 5 to fit almost 32Mh/s but each GPU card with riser consume 180W. In this setting I do not have incorrect shares, but there are errors incrementing in hwinfo.

My memory timing:
0:1750
777000000000000022CC1C00CEE55C46C0590E1532CD66090060070014051420FA8900A00300000 012123442C3353C19
0:2000
777000000000000022CC1C00CEE55C46C0590E1532CD66090060070014051420FA8900A00300000 012123442C3353C19

In this SMOS is there any CLI/WEB confirmation or command how to check which frequency is each card running, what exactly voltage is set to core/mem? Just like "show stats" in EthOS.
What else I am able to configure in SMOS under miner user?

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

Have been using ethOS but have read so many positive things about Simplemining, I really want to check it out.

Following the instructions on the Simplemining website, I used etcher to create a USB of the program and everything worked great.

When I went to one rig and put in the USB and rebooted it - all that would happen is that I would immediately go directly to the MOBO Bios.  Couldn't get past that to access the Simplemining program.

Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Same, stability is great.

Here's my config for eth-only nicehash on v11. Should work anywhere.

-epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal YOUR_ADDRESS.$rigName -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -estale 0

Awsome, thanks @wakiyasi!
