and I within a few days grew to hate betting in casinos a little and preferring to do sports betting for a while after that painful incident.
A little hate or are you disappointed because you don't trust betting instincts? it must be painful, almost everyone will be fed up with the decisions we make. It's just that rather than moving to another bet, in my opinion, it would be more effective if you rest mentally for a moment, with conditions that are quite unfavorable, of course you will continue to be overshadowed by that moment. As if to bring yourself back into the same game to pursue something big

Yup, it's quite better to rest for a while after that incident instead of moving to another bet, the frustration may trigger you to just simply put your bet without fully analysing the game and it will create danger to you, though it happens to most gamblers, out of frustrations they wanted to push their way and for some they will manage to win and forget the mistake as quick as possible while for those who suffer to lose it will add up to the burden of regrets.
Very well spoken mate, the truth is that without patience, and ability to absorb some things really fast, a gambler might just continue to have problems after problems, and one thing about gambling is that, once the mind is not at ease and ultimately positive, its almost impossible to hit any major winning, this is because , like you said, analysing games is the work of the mind, its just like the common saying that, when a source of something(could be water or anything) is dirty, rest assured that what ever comes out from that source will also be dirty, in other words, if the mind is already corrupt before it engages in a gambling session, there is every possibility that that entire game session will ruled by bad luck.

Gamblin should be considered a losing game or waste of time for the vast majority of people, but most of the people get brainwashed by those advertisements that are to be found everywhere. It's always winners right? A good looking guy or girl telling the world how amazing gambling was for him or her and how easy it is and what not, but isn't the reality that it is just to brainwash those who actually are destined to lose control over their gambling habits? Sure it also says there is risk involved, but if the point was to get the message across that gambling is risky they could show some fucked up dude without teeth drinking the cheapest alcohol under a bridge. The bad thing is that probably more people who cannot afford it get stuck in gambling as they are the ones trying to seek financial relief in some cases whereas those who don't care about the money in the first place probably don't get stuck.
Gambling is not a losing game or a waste of time to any body except for those who have chosen it to be so for them, gambling is supposed to be a form of entertainment, but then, its rather not too fortunate that most of the gamblers we have today are not seeing it as such, but rather have taken gambling as another means of making money, and this is where the problems all starts from.

For that person who decide to see gambling exactly as what it should be(A form of entertainment), such person will hardly have issues with addiction or any form of compulsive gambling, but the moment the desire for winnings, that is making money becomes the number one priority of the gambler, this is when issues start arising most especially when the winnings are not forth coming.
On the time that you do have that kind of perspective on the time that you do play gambling then it wont really be that something so simple to not to be impulsive on the time that you would really be having those losses

on which it isnt really something that you  could really be able to accept and would really be getting more impulsive. Gambling is for fun and should really be treat up this way, the mistake of most people or players is that
they do really expect too much or being that positive that they would really be winners on the time that they do play and not realizing on whats the fact or reality on what gambling really is.In speaking about situations telling about those so close calls on winning yourself but you have altered out your decisions because of some factors like intuition or either other analysis then you would definitely be making those changes
and on the time that those changes results into losses then you would really be starting up to make those regrets because of what you have done.

I have experience similar situations for a couple of bets on which i did make out those last second changes because of some intuition but ending up on losses which i do regret.
Yes, i did have that couple of those kind of last minute change but i have never learnt because i do also have those bets that because of intuition i do end up on having a win and this is why
i do really welcome on having those kind of moments on the time i do felt them.

Greed is one thing every gambler should avoid, sometimes one would be a step close of winning a huge sum that would make them a fortune but would end up losing everything due to greed, I've got a friend that's not left out of this because it has happened to him severally and im texting out of his  experience, there's a saying that once beaten twice shy but in his own situation he's made several mistakes out of greed and most of the time clains he didn't even know he's being greedy until he sees the outcome of his predictions and notice where he's at fault.
Well My own case wasn't concerning greed but  cashing out an unfinished Prediction due to fear of losing out, I don't focus much time on gambling but sometimes i come across some punters predictions that stand a chance of winning and try to use my spare cash to participate in it, sometimes it comes out positive and i aslo avoid the games when I'm not very convinced of a positive outcome, so on a faithful day I saw a game on social media and decided to share it with two friends because it looked very convincing, they where suprised how I got it and said it's very risky because it was a game of 5 draws all full time, but I insisted on playing the game and 3 out of 5 played remaining 2 to be played the next day, since I was given a cash out option my friends persuaded me to cash on it of which I did regret because the whole draws played and I would have won a huge sum of money if i hadn't cashed out.

There are many mistakes we do make as a gambler and that is why we are going to keep trying until we get what we are looking for and the kind of profits we want as a gambler. Some of us had mistaking to bet with small money on a particular bet because of fear that we might lose the bet but as luck may have it, we had wining on that same bet which made us to lament bitterly that if we had known, we could have use a large sum of money and out on that bet. Mistake happens always in gambling and if we are not careful enough, we can end up betting with greed and losing our entire profits.

As a gambler,I know that we have done so many mistakes in the pass base on our bets and wrong strategy or calculations that we have done which led to losing the game that was suppose to make you win big. I want to use myself as an example,I love sportbet and I bet more on it. Last months I placed my bet on 7 games that was to be played for two days. When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.
We often commit mistakes in gambling because we always got influenced by our greed and thinking that it was our lucky day today. Unfortunately, luck doesn't stay all day and so if we win at this time, later we possibly lose (this is based on my experience) which is why usually emptied our wallets. And even though we have that idea but sad to say that situation keeps repeating. We surely ask why but I would say that this is how gambling works - we win and we lose.

I have similar experience multiple times which am sure it will be difficult for me to even prevent because I always have confidence that am going to win when gambling. Most gamblers are greedy and when they are gambling and they noticed that the first few games which they bet on is in favor of them, even if they are given the opportunity to cash out, they won’t want to do that, they will rather want to wait for all the matches they bet on to end so that they will go home with full amount and not half. But sometimes it’s just better we are not being greedy, it’s better we are satisfied with the little we are having.

Sometimes things like this happen when the difficult matches have being played and you are left with the once you are having believe that your prediction is going to be correct, but at the end the least expected match is the one that’s going spoil all your bet.
Never happened to me yet but I saw lots of cases like this. It seems that the casino is playing tricks on us but if it happens a lot of times and we are already aware that it can occur again the next time, maybe we should follow our gut of cashing out. I know the result can sometimes be a full win but we shouldn't regret it because again, it might be a trap made by the casino for us to get confident again the next time we play and that's going to be the time we will lose our money again. Having the half amount is better than losing. Besides we can be able to bet again and win the other half. This is a much safer or wiser play to secure a profit in betting.

Lot of gamblers lose their control in sports betting or sometimes they bet emotionally. Because of the support of the favorite team emotionally they are not able to place the bet in the right place and thus the gamblers lose. Another thing that almost all gamblers have more or less greed. If we can't control greed then we have to lose there too. I have had major sports betting regrets several times in my life. Where I was almost certain to win but the result changed towards the end. I had a chance to withdraw 85 percent from that bet but I didn't withdraw when I saw my bet win win situation but later the result was different. I had big stakes there so my regrets were high.
Agree with what you said because betting is related to someone's emotions. When they have won at gambling, they cannot stop because they think today is their lucky day so they can win a lot. But because they are greedy to get more money, they don't withdraw the winnings they got before but instead play gambling again by increasing the bet amount. And that gives them losses that probably outweigh the winnings. What you are experiencing has been experienced by many gamblers, including me, because at that time, we became greedy and hoped for a bigger win.

That is true, mate.
It is actually the hard part when we are winning, we tend to want more feeling lucky for a day. I don't think it's just you who made the same mistake as this, there are more of us.
Having more money opens a gateway to win more in our next bet and that makes us drool to try our luck one more time. A common mistake is when we lack a plan or a quota on where we will withdraw our funds.
We are just able to think about those when we are done or got rekt by the casino or sports betting website. So, what they say is true that regrets do come in the end.
But, it gives us the life experience and we learn from it. I hope you did. Last time I actually withdrew just $40, I have a  low quota now and I'd rather do that than feel the urge to bet again.

I experience something similar to this, a few days ago when i made some sports bets and after the first bet on live games i was already in winning and the second half was far gone the game time was around 89 minutes and i thought the winning was sure, and i stead of cashing out the available amount in the cash-out box i wanted to wait out the entire game time, and in no time, i lost the vet when the other clubs made and equalization goal score and that made me lose the bet.

Had it been I cash out, it could have been a win-win situation for me even if the amount in rewards won't as high as when the match reached an end, that way I could have avoided both the possibility of me losing the entire money.
In sports matches unexpected things often happen and that is why I always watch until the end of the match when I bet some money on the match because that way I can immediately take action if I feel the team we are betting on will lose.
Usually I immediately cashout, even though cashout only gives a smaller profit, we can avoid the risk of losing money.
Try to be wiser and don't be greedy when you get a number of advantages.

So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.

I wouldn't call it or consider it a mistake.

In the first place, what if the other way happened instead and our luck direct hit us at that moment?

It's just that we take the risk of wanting a bigger prize in return. That's common and usual to happen when we do gambling. In most cases, we are struck with different options just to try our luck and hope for a better result in the end.

Regret does happen. It's not a mistake. Just charge it to our experience and take that as reference for a much better good decision making in the future.

Greedy will always lead to severe losses. It is applied for any field, not only in gambling. In investment and trading, many people also experience the severe losses because they are too greedy. However, it is a valuable experience, you must take a big lesson from the story. I guess you will think more realistically whenever you put your bets again in the future.
That's what made me stop from winning big. Like already bagging $100 within several minutes of playing dice and then when I thought that luck is with me all of the time, I just roll it automatically and then went back with the little amount left. So I pull out and realized that when something like that has already come to me, I should manage to take it out before anything else. Being greedy is going to put you nowhere.

It is gambling, don't think more efforts guarantee more wins. Since it is mostly about the luck, just get the prizes whenever you think the prize is enough for you. The casinos won't ever stop to give you more offers of bigger prizes, but you need to think realistically and control your emotion. Always remember that the chance to win won't increase although you put bigger money, especially on the betting.
Right on, even if you're exerting a lot of effort for your bets. Well, at the end of the day they don't matter because what matters most are the results whether you win or lose. While it is intriguing of having the thought in our minds about what if we stop, what if we continue, that's when the argument starts on our heads.

Let's discuss.
Maybe there are several yes and some of them are based on experience:
1. Lack of ability and knowledge for gambling in certain fields. Because there are various types of gambling and sometimes some are based on luck and some require special abilities or skills to analyze. However, because of the lack of this, it will reduce our chances of winning.
2. too optimistic and idealistic in determining something in order to win, because sometimes we have to pay attention to the conditions on the field or when we are playing gambling, so we cannot generalize based on our idealism.
3. Be too greedy

There was a time where it was my father who prevented me from winning my first gambling game.

I remember back in 2012, my father was a notoriously active gambler in the cockfighting platform. He would frequently bet fighter chickens and raise them in our farm in which my grandfather brought, specifically for training these chickens.

There was a time where my father invited me to participate in an arena where you would bet on a chicken. I chose “A” but my father insisted that I choose “B” instead. Unfortunately, I lost and that was also my first gambling experience.

Not much of a winnings I can think of.  I have this experience where I am winnings for about 8x of my bankroll when I decided to press lock the space bar for turbo spin while increasing the bet size, and leave it running while doing some other things.  I never imagine that the bankroll will be eaten that fast especially when continuous series of dead spin happens.  What happen is, while on that turbo spin my mom asked me to do something which I hurriedly comply thinking that it won't take a long time.  But I was wrong, it took a bit long and when I came back to my sit, I saw my balance gone really low from the 8x to 2x and just got lucky that I trigger the bonus round stopping the spin.  Sadly the bonus round does not give enough rewards to compensate to the lost amount during the turbo spin.

This is really a funny experience, but I'll share it. I am sometimes buying lottery tickets, as it is really known here in our country, in which we need to guess those 3 digit numbers, so while going to the lottery, I saw a newly opened bakeshop near it, but because I didn't bring all my money, I decided to lower my bet and purchase a bread and eat it there just to try it out, so I bet only small amount, and then after a few hours, the result came out, which I won with only a small amount as my bet was small, and I am very pissed on what I've done. If I just bet it all and then go back to my house to get money and buy bread, it is still not a mistake; it is just not my will to win that huge money that time.
You shouldn't be too upset about it. After all, betting with a small amount of money and winning only a little is just a part of the gambling experience. That's just how it goes I suppose. Don't regret much on your decision at that time because you never know you might have won the lottery or something. In my country, we have a similar concept but it's related to football. We buy tickets with predictions for football games in our league and at the end of each week the prize money is distributed among the winners.
