When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
Not sure in which casino you are placing a bet, top casinos have the cash out option all the time and once you think that the predicted outcome is not possible you can withdraw the amount. As a gambler you go through these situation whenever you place a parlay bet, you loose some and you win some and if you would have won the bet, you would be thinking how smart you were by rejecting the cash out option Grin.
This is actually my mistake, for taking profit early and later on I should have won more if I didn’t hit the button to take profit. Well, this is the usual scenario in gambling and for me we should not regret it since profit is a profit and better to avoid that kind of emotion because it can trigger your greediness to gamble more and the result might be different this time. Gambling can be very exciting, and having the profit on your wallet makes a lot of sense.

So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
....

I don't know if I understand you correctly but in the long run it doesn't matter, in your context, since I don't see it as a mistake, if you win it's not a mistake, I ask you, the point is that they are decisions and those decisions should be treated as gains or losses.

Then in the post-game (Or bets) you try to improve by seeing which bets you won could have gone wrong, and which bets that went wrong were not mistakes.

So, basically you learn to live with the results, as the phrase says; "no regrets..." or its equivalent in the idea; "... I lost was a mistake, " or the classic; "I won, what luck".

On reality, yes! There are both conditions, mistake anda lucky but you have to be professional or just admit that nothing happens, it is simply; next bet. And review previous results as I mentioned.
But there are individuals who cant really just accept those mistakes and would really be keeping on blaming themselves basing up on what they had done or those choices that they had made earlier.

If you are that someone who do have that kind of behavior on trying out to blame yourself and doesnt accept the usual outcome on gambling where results neither win or lose then it is really that
normal that you will really be having those questions in mind on what you have done wrong?. It will really be that a never ending kind of question that you have in mind.

Also, sometimes in our gambling activity on which there are really moments on which intuition do really kicks in, everything is already that aligned and final and then suddenly here comes a thought
that you do have and altering out your decision and it losses then regret is there but once you do already accept on what are those probabilities then these things wont hurt that much.

As a gambler,I know that we have done so many mistakes in the pass base on our bets and wrong strategy or calculations that we have done which led to losing the game that was suppose to make you win big. I want to use myself as an example,I love sportbet and I bet more on it. Last months I placed my bet on 7 games that was to be played for two days. When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. This is why we call it gambling because you would really be risking money for a certain bet, you cant really tell on what would be the next result or outcome on which those games would be having. What if you have decided to get that early cash out and didnt tend to follow with your remaining bets for you to win big? If it turns out that you were right but you had able to cash out early? For sure you would really be having those
words on saying that you should have that rejected and continue on the bet that you do have. It would be all on the same process i should say and this is why its better not for you to have those kind of
conclusive approach because you might be able to say it back on those things that you would really be tending to do so..

This do really proves out that gambling results even on sports cant really be that predicted but come to think that thrill and excitement do really came from these things where you do bet on something that you do
prefer despite on having the results would really be unknown specially on parlays which do excites me the most.

If you've made a profit, never forget to withdraw it and take because you'll never know what's gonna happen next. This is a lesson that's applicable to everyone and also was able to experience by many of us.

So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.

Winning is there but the profit that's made just as you is also the common mistake a gambler does. When we're able and eligible to withdraw, we think that we're lucky and there's no need to take it yet because we might win bigger amount.

And that's the mistake that the majority of us does even if the profit is already in front of us ready to be taken.

So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Just like in trading, a mistake that can affect you from making profit in gambling is when you make assumptions in your analysis before placing a bet, and not bothering yourself to confirm your assumptions. Over confidence that you know the facts can lead to wrong choices in gambling decision. As a gambler, you have to be careful not to become over confident that you see less needs to always confirm facts before you gamble, making decisions based on assumptions will prevent you from winning big in gambling.

I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.

You did exactly the opposite of what stops me from winning big, because I would've taken the deal and left with $200.
I'm a cautious gambler and I rarely bet big. I don't lose big as well, but my style of gambling stops me from winning a lot of money. I always leave with a small profit, or I bet small to begin with.

As you can see there's no good way of doing this. You either go big and lose everything, or you play cautiously and win small amounts, but in my opinion your strategy of going big with no fear at least gives you a chance of winning life changing money. Mine doesn't.

This usually happens to me as well. Whenever I bet with small amount, I always win but I'm afraid to bet bigger. The fear of dealing with the risk is what makes me pulling from betting too much though I would love to win higher as well. They say the higher the risk the higher the rewards but I just allocate a small amount of funds for gambling maybe that's also the reason why I don't fall into gambling addiction. There were times when I'm tempted to bet higher especially when I'm having win streaks but oftentimes I always control my urge which I think is just good for me to handle things wisely.

Greed are what you need to avoid when playing gambling, and this must be controlled when playing gambling. because a greedy attitude without realizing it can damage the financial condition in the future. My personal experience is that I have won a lot but I want to win more, in the end, my emotions can't be controlled in the end I lose and lose again.

In essence, everything has a risk. Gambling has a risk of losing and a chance to win. As well as Trading there is a risk of loss and the opportunity to profit. Likewise, investing has a risk of losing assets and the possibility of being deceived. Businesses have a risk of going bankrupt and have a chance of success. So the point is to be realistic, think, don't be emotional. when you only have a capital of $ 200 if you want to do business, what kind of business? or want to trade, trade what? Invest, what investment? if you want to play gambling with a capital of $ 200 to reach $ 1200 in less than 30 minutes it can be achieved, or it can even run out to $ 00 too. So it is very important that in any case we must avoid being greedy, make gambling entertainment, don't make it an alternative to getting rich.

Greed is good if you know how to harness it. Unfortunately for us gamblers it's something that we can't really be expected to do especially those of us that are either gambling for profit or chasing a win goal for some reason. I've been like this in the past too, counting all my losses and using it as a reference of how much I need to win tomorrow to break even and all that. I couldn't bag any win I acquire cause I always have to bet on it again to chase bigger wins, and on days that I was able to break even, I still push through to get wins and a positive win rate so I can bag some profits but as you guys know, I didn't and what ended up happening is that I lost more than what I gained in the process.

It's pretty common for us to be subjected into this, it's almost some sort of a rite of passage sometimes.

To be honest, I would never cash out, for example while waiting for a few games to finish. I prefer to wait until all my games are completed, and if it's a win then I'll take it. If not that's okay too. I'm just here to gamble for fun but of course I'd also love to win big rather than just getting half or even less of the earnings.

Regarding the mistakes I made, I think there are times when there aren't any good football games being played. During those times, I sometimes gamble on teams that I have no knowledge about which often leads to losing a bet because I only placed it based on the odds.

There's actually nothing wrong with your decision from that story you've told. I mean you predicted all 5 games correctly and you were down with just that last 2 matches that would potentially bring you $1200 in comparison with $200. We gamble to have fun and win, so whatever decisions you've made at the very beginning of betting, don't change it, especially when you're winning. If you happened to accept that cashout offer and then the 2 other matches favors your bet, then that's what I call a mistake, for altering your bets. Nobody knows the outcome after all, so there would always be an element of luck associated with every analysis you've made when you have your final prediction in sports betting.

the best approach is to play always a few events in the same pay slip. or play many single events.
in case your pay slip is a winning one (also partially) just cash out.
If you count in the long term... you get more and more respect trying to hit the big cashout/jackpot.

My mistake is simple.
I bet on events that I haven't researched well or that I'm not actually really informed about.
Likewise "oh look what a nice odd " Wink
To set a limit and avoid dangerous loss, I always try to play small amounts "for fun".

Winning big involves high risk. Something similar happened to me but mine wasn't on sportbet. It was on number forecast,I was asked to provide three numbers which is they are all correct,I will win a huge amount of money. But when it was time to for me to play the game, instead of playing 30,9,13 as planned. A friend told me to play but 30,9,31 and I did what he told me. When the game result dropped it was exactly how I forecast 30,9,13. I got mad at myself for listening to someone else instead of following my instinct. Imagine I wished I didn't changed it number. In the explanation of yours, most times when we have along slip,it is the last game that do cut the long slip.

Well, if there's anything like that, then I can't really remember correctly how it happened, but I know I've had similar situations like that where I placed a bet on up to 12 different clubs, but on the 10th match, I got an offer to redeem 20% of what my total win was supposed to be, but yeah, we always want to test that! luck! of gambling. I declined, and at the end, it was a busted game because of the two last matches. As far as that has taught me any lesson, sure, it has not because, over and over, I still always get sure of my predictions and don't always want to alter the game which majority still get busted.

Well, yea, sometimes we do regret our decisions, and when we see others make mistakes like that, we really think they are stupid, but when it gets to our turn, that is when we realise the little difficulty in taking such a rushful decision.

Well, $200 is too far to the $1200 that you will get if your remaining bets were to be good, that's really hard to decide considering you got that dopamine that you already win 5 games and maybe you'll get predicted it all. I think most of us will agree that we tend to be greedy when we want to win big and that's what prevents us most of the time to win big as well. We don't want slow wins, we want risky wins that may put our whole portfolio on the line.

*snip
Pretty much the same thing is exactly what happened to me, i was really angry the day it happened, and also considering the face it happened to me two times, first, it involved 15 games from different sports from football to tennis to basket and base ball, i carefully selected the games and was going to play for like three days if i still remember correctly, it was a bet of $5, but due to the high odd, my potential winnings was running almost a hundred thousand dollars, on the second day of day of the game, about 10 or 11 of my bets had already been predicted correctly, i had the option of cashing out about $6000 dollars, but refused to take the offer, my mind was filled with the thought of winning about a hundred thousand dollars, such kind of money I've never seen or touched before, i was already fantasizing on the type of house and car i would buy, and how good my life will turn out after all the suffering, i couldn't not reason well at at point.

Eventually, the 12th game also pulled through and the cash out amount increased to about $8000, i still did not take it, unfortunately for me, the 13th game failed to turn out as i predicted, that was how i lost it all, it was a bitter experience to be honest.

I believe what prevented my from big winning was to rely on a strategy with high odds and high winning chances (but low profit), since I had a considerable bankroll to use, so I thought it was the best safest decision to play smartly, while taking advantage of cashback and other bonuses offered by the house. However, with few consecutive losses my bankroll drained really fast, so I felt dumb for playing that way.

My money could have lasted longer if I played with lower odds and lower winning chance (but higher profit), therefore increasing my chances of earning big meanwhile. On the other hand, we can never say this with 100% assurance, because after all it's a game of chance and probability, so I really can't say what would have happened if I had done that instead of this.

For me, I missed big wins when I listen to others as opposed to sticking to my own intuition. And by the time the game goes on, my first guess was right but my bet turns out a loss. Instead of making money, I lost some. It's the worst thing that has happened in my gambling history.

It's also one of my challenges now. It is to stick to my own analysis and get into my own prediction. Because if I am going to lose, at least it will be my own. So it will be my own winning and my own loss. Only I am accountable of my own gambling experience.
