Anyone can share their OC/power settings ?

thx

Regardless, I didn't spend much time with it because I could not reach the advertised speeds regardless of how I clocked the cards. I cranked up intensities until cards failed, still couldn't reach the advertised speeds with 480's, 580's, or Vegas. Will stay tuned to see if anyone achieves different results.

Max Speed achieved with Vega 56 was 5.75 MH/s @ -I 31 w/ cc 1448 and mc 850.

I achieved 5.5-5.6 mh/s on my vegas (56), but the power consumption is higher (~180-200W) and reduce the profit than mining Monero (160-170W), so I reverted the cards back  to cryptonight.

Scam miner

Because maybe devfee is 20%

It kinda does look like it, doesn't it.
Especially the fact OP just drops the miner on us like that and ignores all subsequent replies and comments.

I personally can't wait for better AMD lyra2z miners to get optimised for Windows. There's just lots of potential for good devs to do great work.

it try it with RX570 i got 3.08 mh/s
driver 18.5.1
RX 570 asus strix 4G.B   3.08 MH/s         core-clock 1340
RX 560 asus dual 4G.B   1.52 MH/s         core-clock 1320
are this good hash ? Huh

new driver support would be great. confirming that 18.6.1 doesnt work with this miner.

Okay, I followed up and verified that if you want to mine on Vegas, you can use 18.3.4 drivers.

That said, I'm not sure what this miner offers that tdx doesn't... on Vega 64's I was getting 7.3 MH/s vs. ~6.3 MH/s or so on this miner. The only extra that this miner offers is the possibility for reduced power consumption in windows via PPT mods.

Maybe that's worth a 20% hashrate reduction; I doubt it though, the numbers I was calculating indicate that it's still more profitable to stay on cryptonight coins. Perhaps that will change if ETH continues to tank and miners start to migrate to CN.

Thank you for your thorough analysis of this miner, but can you elaborate further for us

Vega64 Version 4.0.0 BETA Windows, 18.6.1
Device not supported: "gfx900". Only AMD GCN devices are supported currently. Please double check that you have AMD videocards.
Same problem.

I have the same problem with 18.7.1 drivers

Same problem here. Cannot initialize the Vega's. Driver 18.6.1.

PS: --exitsick does not stop the miners, by the way.

PS2: one of my miners was idle this morning, attempting to connect to dev fee mining server and getting nowhere. Some error 301 iirc. Please fix.

Some of my Vega machines work, others do not, with the error mentioned above. I assume this has to do with driver differences. I want to say that maybe the machine with 18.3.4 works, but others after that don't?  Huh

Getting about 2.7 MH/s on RX 570's for Lyra2z... Bit disappointed Sad
Using -I 17 up to -I 20. Driver 18.6.1. Clocks 1266/1600.

Anything else I could try? Seems quite far away from the 3.5 claimed for 480's...

EDIT: also, shouldn't the first line of initialization be "setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1" considering this version is now 64 bit?

EDIT2: I have 7 cards per rig. The seventh hashes 0.5MH/s slower than the other 6. Any specific reason?

Hello miners!

I just released beta version of Lyra2Z miner.
Version 4.0beta (only for Windows). Linux version (64 bit) will be added later.
Also, the beta version does not support Lyra2rev2 algorithm currently. That’ll be added in full release.
If you need lyra2rev2, then do not try 4.0 beta yet. This beta is just for Lyra2Z.

The good news is that profitability of Lyra2Z is about 20%-30% higher than lyra2rev2.
For example, compare daily income of 39MHs on Lyra2rev2 and 3.7MHs on Lyra2Z (values for RX580).
Just use https://zpool.ca or https://www.nicehash.com for comparison.

Also, this miner now only supports newer cards (R9 290 and higher).
Recommended GPUs are RX580 and Vega.
If you have an older GPU, please keep using legacy mkxminer 3.1 with lyra2rev2.

Note: I believe old GPUs like Tahiti (Radeon 7990, 7970, 7950) are producing invalid hashes (only HW errors). I may look into that, but it is low priority. Because these cards give very low hashrate on lyra2z. Even R9 390 is 2 times slower on lyra2z than rx480 (while it is only 20% slower on lyra2rev2).

So, if you have R9 390 or earlier, I recommend you to keep using lyra2rev2. But RX480 and newer card owners should definitely try out lyra2z. Just use nicehash or zpool to earn BTC.

Happy hashing!
Thanks

R9 NANO Lyra2z speed 3.5MHs (no overclocking).  Cry (I use Tdxminer give 3.9MHs but can mine only one card)
For Lyra2rev2 speed 44MHs it is better RX580. but for Lyra2z is not better.

Hope for next version speed R9 Fury nano is better than 4.0b  Grin

Thanks
