Well I do think that you understand the fact that most things that we need in today's world is ofcourse built by money, health, house, medicine everything and anything is based on it, not even clean water for drinking is free and in certain countries you won't be able to live without an air purifier, therefore you need to understand that it might be a motivation but to make it right and fruitful, it might not be the right motivation, if your motivation is making lives of your family and ofcourse youself better, ofcourse you would have to depend on earning a good amount but you need to understand that it's ofcourse poison in excessive quantities.
We all work hard to gain money and a good amount of compensation, because we all wanted to live life at its best. The reason why money becomes a motivation to all of us not to stop from struggling to finish our jobs or doing such investments. However, there are some instances that people resort into committing crimes and illegal acts because of the greed of money, that way money becomes the root of an evil.

I know many people including a millionaire usually talk like this, but I disagree with their opinions since there's no such money will follow you or don't try to chase money etc. Because the value you've making are to get more money, they're just act like they're very spend a lot effort to contribute for the world etc without any money, but when someone offer money to them, they wouldn't decline it.

All people do anything to get money, most people didn't improve themselves and but they're prefer to destroy other people who better than them.
If you know your worth/value then money will always follow you and that's the difference of following money vs money following you. We know that those who follow the money are the ones who work almost endlessly and I don't know if being a workaholic have something to do with that but I guess it has something that's part of why they were working so hard. Besides of money being a motivation to others, I find it not enough since what they would do with the money when it doesn't have a purpose?

The motivation will always be the one that will always find the money or the money will find you. What I'm talking about is how good are you with your work? What talent do you have to deserve the money to follow you?

Money is meant to follow you, while you are meant to follow value.  Create value, solve problems, and do it well, you'll attract people to follow you; remember, money follows people with value.

What's your take on this?
If you choose to chase after money all the days of your life, it can be very exhausting. Money is never enough so the chase may never end, no early retirements of any form, you will keep chasing till you wear out and most likely become poor if you don't seek a way to make money remain with you or come to you. Position yourself to make money come to you, so you can retire early and have a great life!

Although money may be the root of all evil but it needs to be made.

Money is never the root of all evil and can never be the root of any evil, because that was a statement been told by the rich to discourage the poor or their descendants to want to be rich like them someday. Because it is indeed the lack of money that is the root of all evil.
Because;
it is a man who lacks money that steals
it is a man who lacks money that collects bribe
it is a woman who lacks money that does prostitution
it is a woman who lacks money who stays in an abusive marriage despite the fact that she is being maltreated, e.t.c

So, it is indeed the lack of money that makes people do several things they wouldn't have done

Money do not follow you...... it takes every opportunity to part ways with you. You are supposed to be the leader and the one making sure that money stays with you. Rich people are not spending 85% of their income on takeaways and cheap thrills.... they make sure that they are in control of their money... so that their money work for them.  Wink

Money can motivate people to work harder, but people can quickly get used to extra income and their expenses grow with that.... so it is only a temporary motivator.  Roll Eyes

There will be many people who define money. In terms of value, the function of money has so many benefits. Motivating to encourage people to further improve their self-quality power and develop their potential to achieve financially as expected. But often money is made into a god as if they forget that money is also a double-edged sword. Make a person forget who he is. Why is money so motivating? because in this day and age without money will be an obstacle. I admit everything costs money but that doesn't mean money can buy it. Therefore there is such a thing as self-respect, in economics, it may not be too strange that in fact, self-esteem is the only controller so that money can follow you. Skill, quality, and knowledge make you have value.

Money without a purpose will be less meaningful. If there is a goal for which you need money, then of course money will play a motivational role. But there is also a moment: What are you willing to do for money? Sometimes it's not exactly the right thing to do, but people who are said to "have their price" are sold for money and do the dirty work. From here, we often hear that money becomes an idol for some people.
Sometimes people have a choice to commit a crime in order to fulfill their dreams. We know that there are people who can cross their moral line.
I welcome the desire to have money for noble purposes. But you should always understand that personal happiness will not depend on the number of millions in your pockets if this money is not earned by honest work.

I'd say this is more a judgement about economic policies than anything else, Capitalism is the best of all the worst options that we've found. Free markets in most cases will work out the most efficient means of production and bring down prices for everyone. However free markets are open to abuse so they need strong and wise regulation, which is the hardest part. Governments tend to work on very small time scales like 4 years, but businesses are constantly having to adapt to new conditions every day. There are also some areas where potentially the government should have more control because the private sector can and does abuse it. Things like medical care, power and water supplies should be very carefully managed for the wider public benefit.

When you have money in your pocket, you want to go out and have fun, travel. Yes, actually money is a real motivator. When there is no money, you don't feel like leaving the house. When you have money, you start taking steps to do everything you feel like doing. Your motivation increases and your perspective on life changes.

You know, most people today looks like are controlled by money, money is like everything and is able to change a lot of people's fate.
But basically this can be part of the motivation in life, after all money is like the first need that must be obtained as much as possible, Money doesn't just motivate, it makes more people change their lives for the better.

We may have different views on this life, and materialism, in my opinion, is only lightly considered as a tool to push the best friend to develop in the direction that the person thinks. The various aspects of matter are determined by the nature of the individual; whether they consider it important or not. So I feel it's true that if you seek joy from yourself, money is a very small thing, but in today's social prejudices, they dominate most people's lives. If we were less greedy, less compared, and more loving to each other, then right now we would see that life is unfolding uncomplicated and just like a movie we want to enjoy.

They seem to me to be generalizations and clichés that are partly true but also partly false, as is often the case.

Money is a means.

It can honestly work both ways. I know both types of people — the ones that solely focus on the money, while the other focuses on being good at what they're passionate in and or focus on solving problems first — then the money follows after.

I know very successful people from both sides, but the latter tends to be more happier people; with the former being mostly more stressed and more miserable despite being well-off.

Of course, the second option is much better.

Money is always a component in motivating people to work hard, although this isn't always the case. The best term to describe human motivation is certainly desire. The urge to make money or the desire to feel successful in what we do must come first, and then the money will come and the way that mk4 emphasizes two distinct categories of people is also true.

Money is the motivating factor for many but it really shouldn't be. You should be more concerned with whether you are enjoying what you are doing rather than focusing on money. Most people run behind money and really forget what their actual passion is. You are absolutely right on this front, one should focus only on adding value to the lives of other people rest everything will definitely follow and money will definitely come as a result of your efforts. But also I think sometimes it's wrong to judge people in these scenarios as sometimes it's money that might be important to them at a certain point.
Without a doubt doing what you like to do and obtaining decent profits out of it will be the ideal scenario for everyone, but we must remember that life is never that simple and you have to take a choice, and in that case many people are going to prefer to follow the money rather than their passion, it is a difficult decision to take but we have to do it especially when you are not the only one that depends on the money that you get and you have a family to support.

Money is just the rewarding factor. Being passionate towards what your mind wants is the motivational factor. Just follow what your mind wish to do. Being passionate about something and working towards will eventually bring money. Maybe this can take time, but there'll be assurance of making money out of it.

If the focus is towards money and from the beginning itself you run for it, then at some point you'll lose your importance.

Money doesn't follow like a magnet if you don't intend to do anything. Money doesn't follow people, that doesn't work for it or pursue it. Money needs to be chased before it can follow you(in the right way). It doesn't fall like manna.
Your value in society is the kind of money you have. Society doesn't regard people with an empty account

The level of your happiness depends on money. You work towards your happiness. Money only follows people that are on the right track to acquiring it.

I think motivation behind following money -like a moth following a light- never changes through time. Everyone considers lack of money is why their life is terrible. Although there may be bigger issues with your life that money will never solve. So I agree that is the best buddy, best wife, best pet etc. You can say more. But its never good leader. Think about your own fathers, his affect on you was never determined by money. Emotions are leaded by heart.
I quite agree with your claim. Money has gotten too much value in this generation that even power are easily bought with it. Many things of value are now acousted with money. The funny thing is some people that have bunch of it either feels they don't have enough or rather tired of having too lots of it. The poor on the hand thinks money is the solution to his every problem.
