I wasn't expecting any different to happen after safety car. Because neither Ferrari nor Mercedes were able to keep up with Verstappen's incredible pace. Verstappen showed it very easy by taking his place back in no time from Hamilton. Verstappen just met the expectations so I wouldn't say that he was the driver of the day unlike the vote results. I think that especially Russell deserved it by finishing the race as the 2nd after starting four positions below. He was almost keeping the fastest lap also but Verstappen took it by 0.019 second from him.

Ferrari are finished now. Leclerc might be overtaken by even Russell in the driver standings as the gap is only 13 points.

As told weeks ago with the change of the regulation the car that got the more advantage is the Mercedes.

The simulation was talking about 6tens for lap and watching the last 2 races we can see they were likely true.

Another day another shame for Ferrari. Seriously these guys lower the brand reputation in every race more and more. Feels bad for Leclerc and Sainz. Verstappen won the game as expected and comfortably. Safety car gave us some hope about more excitement but Verstappen passed Hamilton pretty easy. No crash and almost all pilots finished the race, it was pretty boring race until that safety car came. I hope we can see better races as championship race is almost officially over. Mercedes may pass Ferrari in constructors points if things go like that.

There were some very interesting incidents in this race even though it was a comfortable win for Verstappen.

The most striking one was Ferrari's huge failure about Sainz's pit. He was called to pit but there were only three tyres in the hands of the mechanics.  Grin  This unbelievable mistake caused Sainz to have a 12-second pit which caused him to lose important positions. Ferrari didn't make do with this of course. This time in Sainz's second pit, they released Sainz dangerously and this caused Sainz to get a 5-second penalty. Sainz finished the race at the 8th position as a result. Maybe it wasn't a good day for Leclerc as well but it was like a nightmare for Sainz surely.

This was how Ferrari released Sainz by the way and he touched Alonso's front wing also. Ferrari did this before too but they are still not learning their lesson.

This safety car changed everything, Max will probably win but it should be a fun ending to watch.

Well Verstappen managed to win it in the end but it was closer as i have thought. Right after the start i really thought this would be a totally uncontested win for Verstappen again because he was more than 1 second ahead of Leclerc pretty quickly and he seemed to have everything under control and he could always counter with good lap times if Leclerc tried to close the gap.
Also Mercedes was very strong this weekend too, especially in the race today. It seems like they have the best car in terms of saving the tires. It is too late now to fight for any title in this season but if they keep up that good development then they will definitely fight for both championships again next season.

That made it even more easy for Verstappen to win as he had the opportunity to put the red tires on,the fastest ones and we saw that he immediately overtook Hamilton without problems at all.If no Safety Car was to be deployed we would have seen a more interesting end of the race and most probably we would have seen with a lot of difficulties a Mercedes win if we continued racing through normal conditions. Now matter how hard Verstappen would have tried after the pit stop he would have to pass about 3-4 cars before going to fight a Mercedes in the front.

Of course these are all "ifs",the race has ended and Verstappen won his home race two consecutive times.

Bagnaia has found a good feeling in a few races and I think that way he will be very difficult to stop plus with the Ducati bike more than anything else, I am sure he will be able to win the race again tomorrow, regardless of the sanctions he received but his performance on the FP side and very good Qualifiqasi.

While on the other hand Fabio Quartararo is a very consistent rider in the front row, he will definitely try and give his best to be able to annoy Bagnaia.
I think tomorrow there will be a fierce duel, and it will certainly be very interesting.

and for Jack Miller I think he will be a bit difficult to be consistent, although tomorrow he will start from first position but I really doubt he will be able to keep it.
I hope you are watching MotoGP today because Bagnaia was able to win again today with not much resistance from the other riders trying to catch up with him when Bagnaia took the lead. Congratulations to Bagnaia who has been able to win four times in a row which is a new record for him today. There are six more races left and I'm starting to doubt Fabio Quartararo in maintaining first place at the top of the standings because the next race will be in Aragon where in fact Fabio Quartararo never got a good position there.

There is not much time left for the Dutch GP to start.

Verstappen's not being penalized for the gearbox is shocking maybe but it is FIA's final decision unfortunately. It isn't fair when they act however they like without caring about the rules. If they obeyed by the rules then this would have been a big opportunity for Leclerc also. Maybe his chance to make a comeback is very low from now on. But at least I wouldn't say no to his starting to drop the gap with Verstappen in the standings to make things a little more exciting. There isn't a competition for the title anymore and this makes the season really boring.

Verstappen is very likely to win today unless Leclerc shows an extra performance compared to the qualifying session. Of course it doesn't depend on only Leclerc while Ferrari team are this much unreliable recently.  Grin

Very good start from Bagnaia, unfortunately immediately once Miller crashed. Bagnaia is now first and think only Vinales can be dangerous to him today. But Bagnaia in front that should suit him, and as it currently looks Bagnaia and Aleix will make up points on Fabio, would be very good for the world championship. Maybe the 4th win in a die from Bagnaia?

But i also exciting about the F1 Start...

You know what was the most amazing thing ever, nobody made a mistake during Q2, everyone did their real best, and we got a 15 car list with only 1 second difference between fastest and slowest. I mean not like this never happens, of course it happens, but that usually means nobody made mistakes and everyone gave their %100 and that is unfortunately rare.

Some may disagree, but I have seen weekends where people failed to race during Q2 for car reasons, people who crashed out, people who had spins or even people who went out of tracks by a milimeter and not have their run counted, there are millions reasons why it may be a fail and sometimes it happens few times in a row.

This week, we have q3 with 2.2 seconds difference by 10th tsunoda, 1.1 by mick schumacher and no time by stroll. So, it does happen and happened even during the same qualifying which means that Q2 was unbelievably good to watch.

That is not because everybody gave their max,it may be like that but most likely this happens and is normal in tracks which are short and are not for example like Monza which is short but is almost all the track a big straight, this track is twisty so it means the drivers cannot make more than 1 second difference per lap even against weak teams, that is the number one reason why it happened that way.

This also means and gives us hope that we are going to see a good race today and I doubt we will not see any Safety Car here based on how twisty this track is.

Very close fight for the pole position and Max got the best time at home.
It will be almost impossible for Ferrari to be in the fight for the championship if Max wins tomorrow.

Btw tomorrow will we have a 15% of probability rain.

Well if that 15% rain chance somehow converts into full probability or at least a quick shower on the circuit during the race, then , we might have the most chaotic race of the season as rain on this circuit is simply hell and very unsafe to drive in my opinion but I would like to see rain tomorrow haha.

For race predictions , most likely Max will wrap this W with Russel or Hamilton being on 3rd and Charles on 2nd. I would also think that 1 Alpine car could abandon but also a McLaren...it's nice to speculate this 2 teams now as neither is happy with one of their drivers.

Personally I am disappointed because I was expecting a penalty for Verstappen to make the race more beautiful but during the changes that FIA announced in the middle of the season they have now also increased the pool of gearboxes chance before getting a penalty.

I was also hoping for a penalty for Redbull in order to make the competition more fierce.
Last season, for example, was very exciting, as the victory was only decided in the last laps of the last GP, it was a fantastic dispute, disregarding the problems we witnessed.
In any case, it was great to see that Verstappen managed to overcome the problems he had on Friday with his car and is able to compete in the GP with all his potential... let's see what emotions await us tomorrow.

It is now official Verstappen set to escape the penalty for tomorrow and starting first for him after seeing his pace at Belgium race this will be like a piece of cake for him to take the win.Ferrari should definitely come up with a good plan now to use the perfect strategy for tomorrow race which looked like this track is better suited for them and it was only Verstappen bravery to give him the Pole not really the car as Ferrari performed better here considering their two drivers just missed by very few tenths of a second the Pole set by Verstappen.

Very good starting position for Bagnaia tomorrow, Fabio has to catch up tomorrow, should Bagnaia have a good start and sit at the top he can pull his race through and will be very difficult to stop. Fabio still has a good lead, so it will be more important to get through and score points than to risk everything.

Race Pace the average racer today I see a lot of good and every rider I think need to run a good strategy if the weather conditions tomorrow are not so good. But for Bagnaia I think he will fight for another win tomorrow because he still needs so many points and I don't think it will be so easy for him because there are three Ducati bikes nearby tomorrow and two of them are home riders.

Fabio clearly has to catch up with more riders in front of him to get the best position before the race ends, because he also needs to keep his points safe at the top of the standings so that there are no obstacles to becoming world champion again this season.
Bagnaia has found a good feeling in a few races and I think that way he will be very difficult to stop plus with the Ducati bike more than anything else, I am sure he will be able to win the race again tomorrow, regardless of the sanctions he received but his performance on the FP side and very good Qualifiqasi.

This is the updated starting grid which has been confirmed by the Formula 1 official Twitter account.

I really don't understand what FIA are after now. If Verstappen has really changed his gearbox then he should get a grid penalty for this like it happened in the previous race to him and many other drivers. I don't think that they were able to repair the gearbox as it seemed like a serious problem. This is a big advantage handed over to Verstappen in the race tomorrow. If he has no issue with his car now then it seems a far possibility to see him staying behind Leclerc. He was already quicker than Leclerc in qualifying. It is difficult for Leclerc to win if Ferrari don't have special plans for this race.

I knew it like Verstappen's gearbox was changed and he was going to start from the back of the grid. However it seems like Verstappen is starting in pole position. Am I wrong about this now? Because there are so many different news and I really don't know what to believe. Some websites are showing the starting grid as Verstappen in pole.

Anyway, it was a really great qualifying session. Leclerc and Verstappen had a beautiful competition for the pole position. Leclerc's second sector was really bad on his last try and Verstappen benefited from this a lot by stealing the lead from him. However Leclerc still seems very quick now which could be a sign for a very competitive race tomorrow. Unless Ferrari have bad strategies he can really fight with Verstappen for the win this time.

Perez had a spin on his last try and missed the chance of rising on the grid more. This is bad news for Red Bull but we will see how dedicated Perez will be after starting in 5th position.

I think some websites have not updated the starting grid yet,I doubt Verstappen to start from Pole when he clearly changed the gearbox and changing it results in an absolute penalty for the starting grid so I find it highly unlikely for him to start first.Nevertheless FIA did change the rules for the first time in the middle of the season in this 2022 so they can do anything they want but then they would lose a lot of credibility so I don't think they will change rules for this.

Leclerc has a great chance as most probably is going to start out first and with Verstappen quite some positions back because of the penalty. If he does not get a penalty then most probably something is definitely wrong with FIA in this 2022 season.
