^  This could be bad omen for Verstappen...  And he just signed a new contract tying him with with the team until 2028 too.  He should've kept his option open by after the third year as we really don't know what's going to happen.

Congrats to Ferrari.  Good race for Leclerc and Sainz.  Hoping to see more from them for the rest of the season.

Verstappen would have easily ended the race in the second position, which is not to bad in my opinion so i don't think that this one race is letting him already regret his decision to stay at Red Bull for 6 more years. It is still true though that his was a very unlucky start for Verstappen and Red Bull. I don't know why but i still consider Mercedes as the big favorite of Red Bull in this season overall so it would have been a great start for Verstappen to finish 3rd while Hamilton is only 5th, but now Verstappen has made 0 points and Hamilton finished the race on the podium which is the absolute maximum that was possible with the performance of the mercedes this weekend.

HONDA DISASTER 3 of the 6 cars out for engine problems.

Yep. It's always the big question at the start of the season...

will there be any reliability issues?

TBH though, I was certainly not expecting it to be Red Bull with the problems. Absolute disaster for them, and weird how both cars got hit at almost the exact same time.
I'm quite happy with this race, it's great to see Ferraris back where they belong, brilliant for Magnussen which I'm really happy about, I'm happy for Bottas to score some decent points too, and I have to admit a bit of schadenfreude at the misfortunes of the arrogant Verstappen.

But I do want Red Bull to fix their issue and have Max back at the front for the next race. What we don't want is a single team sailing away with it again, even if it is Ferrari.

I am curious about the race, Ferrari and RedBull look very strong, also in the race? The Ferrari engines seem very strong, which is also seen in the performance of the customer teams, for me very sad for Kimi, last year he had no chance with the car and Alfa also seems strong this year and it seems Alfa is ready for a good midfield team and good for points.

Yesterday I read Hamilton's interview on the results of the qualification and as I understand it, he was very happy with the 5th place, because those whom he was able to overtake from his words have faster cars (and judging by the race, they are). About the top four, he said that they play in a different league and there will be no competition with them. A sad start to the season for Mercedes, I wonder if the team can do something to fight for the podiums this season?

Finally new season started in Formula 1. Ferrari's start from first and third place. Leclerc, Verstappen, Sainz, Perez and Hamilton started first five. Hamilton passed Perez in first lap and became fourth. Bottas started very bad, he was sixth but lost eight place.
Hamilton won last three race here, let's see if he can catch Ferrari's and Verstappen. There are a lot of new rules, we will see how it affect races this season.

more than half an hour GP Bahrain race will start, Leclerc from the Ferrari team gets grid 1 while Verstappen from the red bull team gets grid 2. the competition between red bull and ferrari is very tight, but my choice still falls on the red bull team.

The current MotoGP standings already look very fierce through the number of points from each rider because in the two races that have taken place this month, there have been two different winners so the distance between the points from the drivers doesn't look that far and this will be very exciting for each race. in this season if the winner can always be different in all circuits.

I certainly hope that the injury he suffered will improve soon so that he can return to participate in the moto GP event. btw, the rain this afternoon (eastern Indonesia time) really delayed a lot of time and thank goodness the rain stopped before nightfall.

This is a snapshot of the lightning that struck the circuit during the rain earlier, fortunately, there were no casualties https://twitter.com/MotoGP/status/1505482724601176064
If only there could be casualties because of the lightning, then it is very possible that the MotoGP race will be delayed and that is something that is not wanted by everyone because the audience who came to Mandalika this time was also very large, including the presidential entourage as well. arrived there today.

Unfortunately Marc Marquez got injured due to the few crashes during the classification and he cant participate in the race today. Not really good news for his fans in Indonesia but at least the race is running now although it was delayed because of heavy rain in Mandalika. It is a wet race now, Quartararo did a great start but he is now down in 5th position. On top of that, this event is a big history for Indonesia.

My favorite is still the Ducati. Quartararo became a Yamaha rider who was surrounded by Ducati, Aprillia, and KTM. This is a question for me, why only one. The distance of the other Yamaha riders is very far even outside the top 10. Did they build a bike just for Quartararo? This is bad.
In addition, unpredictable weather problems made it difficult for some teams, which made it interesting. Maybe if the weather changes to rain the Ducati will be even better.
Yamaha has never made a special motorbike for only one Rider, Franco Morbidelli, who is Quartararo's team mate, was also in second place during FP2 in Mandalika.
And at the time of qualifying Franco Morbidelli had a crash and had to replace his motorbike, but unfortunately after he turned a few laps in the final minutes of qualifying, he had suffered a penalty which made him have to go down 3 grids at the start of the race.

Fabio Quartararo managed to finish in 2nd place after fighting with Alex Rins, Johan Zarco, and Jack Miller, so he could reach the podium in second and unfortunately he did that after the race left a few laps to go so he was not able to catch Miguel Oliveira from KTM who was in front of him .
And for Marc Marquez today was a bad day because he suffered a very severe crash during WUP before noon which made him absent from today's Mandalika race.

After the monsoon the cards would be reshuffled and you can see that Miller is an excellent rain rider, impressive. Very exciting race, I like rain races because the differences of the bikes are not decisive. 3 laps to go, something can always happen.

Of course, Quartararo has a favorite. but I think he will get a lot of resistance from Ducati. As I can see, Martin, Zarco, Bagnaian, and Bastianini, she is surrounded by the Ducati team. as we know, Mandalika has a hairpin bend with hard to beat it, Marquez has experienced it and got crashed twice. Fabio has skill with the bend, if he chooses good tires in this morning he will get the victory.

The Mandalika Circuit has a lot of corners, so that's what Fabio Quartararo will take advantage of today, considering that Ducati can't bring out much potential at the Mandalika Circuit, where the straights are not as long as other circuits.
So I prefer Fabio Quartararo as the winner today if he can be very consistent and don't make any mistakes during the race.

I was very surprised when I saw the Mandalika MotoGP qualifying today where a lot of riders fell, including Marquez himself, fell twice today and once yesterday.
And congrats to Fabio Quartararo who has earned the Pole Position this season after struggling in Qualification and FP, because during the race in Qatar a few weeks ago he also suffered a lot with the performance of the bike.

The beauty about this 2022 F1 season is that all the teams are well-scattered among the places. Since there is a new car and new regulations, all of the teams are placed on the drawing board figuring out the most plausible aerodynamic crafts to make their cars faster. Unlike the previous season, Mercedes and Redbull were among the teams that showed dominance throughout the entire grand prix.

But the biggest difference is, all of the teams currently have a chance to at least snatch the first pole position in 2022 Bahrain GP. It was such a good sight to see Ferrari back on track again- Leclerc getting that pole position into quali. That is why, I am so excited for this season!

I'm more sure that Yamaha will dominate here, especially Quartararo if he doesn't have an accident or other technical problems, because the time he made in qualifying yesterday has given a sign that Quartararo can be very strong to fight in front.

Everyone has seen the MotoGP Qualifier at the Mandalika circuit today and a lot of interesting things happened today at the Mandalika Circuit which led me to make a special prediction about Quartararo who will win tomorrow's race if he doesn't crash.
What about everyone's predictions here ? is there a different prediction with me ?
