Well, this story with Racing Point looks really ridiculous. As I understand, they were punished just for Styrian GP, while Renault made protest after 3 races. So, if they would be punished for all 3 races with same penalties, it would svery serious. Though, 15 points is already not small penalty for team like Racing Point.
But will they be allowed to use illegal parts and gain advantage against their opponents in remaining part of season? If yes, it would be nonsense.

Seems like Mercedes is going to keep Bottas for No 2 driver in the team.
He does the dirty job and let's Hamilton getting the Championships. Sometimes, drivers like Bottas deserve to get a championship for his dedication to the team for all those years.
Well he is a good and responsible second violin
He eats everything he is served, likes all the tastes, bitter, sour and occasionally sweet or bittersweet. He gets desert here and there and celebrates it like a good little boy.I see no reason not to keep this kind of a driver to have a peace in the house.

FP3 results
We have an important difference from last week, this week Pirelli changed the compounds of the tyres, they are 1 tier softer so if we will have the same temperature we will have more tyres' problems.
This morning with the C4 compound, the red tyres they destroyed the tyres after 10 laps.

Congratulation to Bottas good deal for him. He is a perfect wingman and when Hamilton makes a fail he can also win. To Vettel i think it's also possible that he must make one years a break and come back with the New regulation?
Bottas is indeed the perfect wingman and I'm sure his time will come to have a proper chance to win the title but that will come after Lewis secure his 8th title as I don't see the team risking another Rosberg Vs Ham episode even if that was super entertaining for us the fans. I think this weekend we may have a surprise winner in Silverstone round 2 but it all come down on how much RedBull can improve in one weekend.

I agree that the midfield fight is fierce and better than last years.However when we have not a fight for the title what is the point of watching the midfield battles.They don’t give you the same emotions as the title fight.We are missing Mclaren from a long time in the fight to the title and surely the Renault engine isn’t going to help to change this.Also we need more performance from Ferrari and Redbull because if things don’t change then F1 will continue to be boring to watch the dominance of Mercedes.
Things won't change this year, and they are very unlikely to change much next year, either, given that development has been much reduced and the regulation changes put back to 2022. It does reduce excitement when we are probably looking at 2 straight years of Merc total dominance - like it was in 2014, the first season with new rules after the Red Bull dominance.
But, signs are promising that the 2022 rule changes will not just be a reset for all teams, but will also bring the whole grid closer together as well as allowing easier overtaking. I know this has been said before, but it does look promising. If you're interested, there's a decent report here that explains why the 2022 rules should make it more exciting, and more dependent on who is the best driver rather than just who has the best car. Note, the article is a couple of years old, so refers to them as being '2021' changes, but as we know this is now postponed to 2022.

I do wonder why they both got punctures and if there was already a problem with something on the track to cause that or its just a risk from excess wear to soft compounds. Something they should be considering for future races, the little details can end up being pivotal, does anyone live bet these races I'm not sure thats possible anywhere or not.
It wasn't just Hamilton and Bottas. Sainz also got puncture, Kvyat big crash was also caused by puncture on his rear tyre.I was wondering during race that reason of it may be be debris from Raikkonen front wing on the track. But Pirelli said that drivers simply used these tires for too long.
This weekend softer compound tyres will be used, Pirelli will also increase pressure in tyres.

We need to hope for a very very hot weekend in Silverstone (hotter week means more damage on tires and how we just saw is a big deal there) or in a very rainy day, both are possibilities here.
If we have a similar climate it will be a boring week since they know what to do.
About MOTOGP is now official, Marquez got another surgery he will skip from 2 up to 4 Gps, bye-bye (probably) title.

Very hot is also a boring race, Mercedes can make one more pit stop and is always fast enough for place one and two without lose a place.
@Marc M. i think he will try to drive at the first or second race in Austria. But unfortunately when the Yamaha driver make big points at the next race it's very hard to catch up in a shortened season.
The gap between Mercedes and the others is just too big.
Gladly the midfield is closer together. Let's see if we don't see a Haas in between so we have more equal fights ;-)

Marquez is not an Alien he must be absent again at Brno after Jerez
. Latest news Bradl replaces Marc Marquez in Brno. Marc Marquez re-entered the operating room, to repair the titanium plate in his right hand. Heavy pressure on his right hand when riding a motorcycle produces titanium plates that are used to connect broken bones. Can Bradl get on the podium? If Bradl can, this is a big surprise. Let's watch it.Marquez is going to have this problem for the rest of his life.
He should take some rest for some weeks but this is going to let him out of the championship this season.
It is not also sure that Marquez's titanium plate is not going to create any problem again in the future.

So long as its not so damaged as to disintegrate and spew debris across the tracks, with the taught suspension I'm not that surprised he could manage to limp home with some skill applied no doubt. Also the hard tyres that were the preferred option last time will not be available... which means presumably that no-one will be trying a one-stop strategy.
If they are going for 2 or even 3 stop, then we shouldn't have the situation where an early safety car means cars running huge stints on one set of tyres.
... which all goes to suggest a predictable race.

Small rumor from Italy, tomorrow we should have the audion about the declaration from Renault to the Pink Mercedes.
Ferrari may join the case since early this year on what I understood they asked if was possible to give a version B of the car to others team to help them out and they said no.
Now is clear to most of us that pink Mercedes could be a second car of the Mercedes.
Also, they found a rule on the regulation where you can't copy the car from the photo, what Racing point did.
