according to the latest news circulating in formula one we have some news.

Williams is trying to talk to Adria Newey to try to bring him home after so many years, but they are unlikely to succeed.
Max Vertappen said that he will not go to Mercedes neither for 250 million year if the car will be stuck for 5th 6th position.

Of course he would not love to be paid 250 million dollars and not win anything. The level this drivers fight is not for money anymore, they fight for pride and glory and this is something Mercedes cannot give him yet.He waited many years at Redbull before winning his first Championship and now he is winning his 4th with them,he makes enough money to make an easy life for generations to come if he is not stupid with money management, what he fights for is to become the greatest driver of all times,he has clearly expressed it and wants to achieve it with Redbull, until at least the end of 2025 he should be able to make the most out of such ambition.

Newey to Williams? Hmm.. It'd be really unexpected while Ferrari rumours are circulating a lot recently. A potential signing with Williams would be a huge step forward to start a new project to bring back the team to its good old days.  Smiley

Newey's effective engineering would help with the development of the car a lot. But I'm still thinking that his next place will be Ferrari. When Ferrari have amazing drivers like Leclerc - Hamilton it'd be better to benefit from an engineer like him to play for the top. As for Verstappen, he wouldn't find it sensible to leave the team for a big struggle of course.

Life, Love and Laughter...
according to insiders the announcement of Adrian Nevwy's farewell will be made tomorrow, it was supposed to be today but it was delayed.

According to these insiders, the favorite for the hiring is Ferrari and he should work for the 2026 car.

So even if he signs this month with Ferrari he shouldn't be able to work for the 2025 car, I believe due to company secrecy contractual rules.

Oof..  That early?  Been looking all over online but I can't find anything about Newey having already made an announcement.  But you know what, I hope he leave this early because fck Jos Verstappen and fck Max Verstappen.  These guys have become so arrogant they think they could run the team and still win trophies...

I'm loving Hamilton now and Ferrari.  Newey should go there and build them the fastest car they've haven't had in years!  Hopefully Horner follows him and they both win a constructor's championship with Ferrari.

Before leaving Red Bull he is going to work on RB17 hypercar, so, it's not that he will be free very soon.
Somehow I don't see him in Aston Martiin. Stroll is rich, but I think it's not just about money. And I'm concerned about Red Bull. Yeah, we all hate such dominance, but it would be sad if  they will collapse after so much efforts and successful seasons.

I have also heard about this later on. This means we are pretty likely to see another Red Bull domination next season.  Tongue  But as long as Newey joins a team right away for 2025 season he can be a big help for that team to catch up with Red Bull. I hope to see him joining Ferrari, fingers crossed.  Roll Eyes

Hamilton has also commented on a probable deal between Newey and Ferrari. He is also eager to work together. I can't wait for the day the 2025 season starts already, haha.

It looks like it has a good potential for a fierce championship rivalry, FINALLY!

https://www.si.com/fannation/racing/f1briefings/news/f1-rumor-carlos-sainz-declines-audi-contract-lm22

What do you guys think about this? Is this rumor true that Sainz rejected Audi's invitation to join their team in 2026? because he feels that Red Bull or Mercedes are the best choices for his future career, and most likely Audi will not be able to give him the best performance since they are a new team in F1.

But I personally see that Sainz doesn't really want to join the Audi team, seeing how he is very competitive and has good potential to join RB or Mercedes. The problem is that Sainz Sr. is now very close to the Audi team and he wants Sainz to join the team, just like he joined Audi in rally racing - and maybe that is the reason that forced Sainz to join the team, despite his potential it's already very good to be at RB or Mercedes.

Adrian Newey leaving is a terrible terrible news for Red Bull, because there will be the famous 2026 changes, and when that happens they will need a car that is amazing, and Newey is by far the best designer in the world, without him they are not going to build a car that is great.

If it is all about just money, then Aston Martin has a very rich owner, and he is willing to get his son as much chances as possible, father stroll already hired bunch of engineers from red bull to have a decent car, if he could get Newey as well then I am assuming that with 2026 changes then even Aston Martin could end up with the best car and it wouldn't be a shock. Plenty of teams have changes when you look at regulation changes, so it is all going to be a surprise to us all.

Most manufacturers are already looking ahead and doing tests for when the regulation comes,I mean simulations and although simulations do not offer the real value at least they give an insight as where to go with the car so it would be of no surprise if Aston Martin becomes the fastest car of the track.

I think though that the real news is the fact that Audi is heavily promoting their coming to F1 and I believe them to bring a very competitive car since already the first year of their arrival, they surely have the technical expertise and know how from many other race divisions they have raced and won including the Le Mans with that R15 TDI Audi.

Yesterday it was 30 years since Ayrton Senna died, for me he was one of the greatest of all time, I always watched the races to see him, it was all very sad... Is anyone here from Senna's time? he was incredible, especially driving in the rain.
Nope, I wasn't even born back then. But saw many movies, videos about him. It was such tragic weekend, don't forget that day before Roland Ratzenberger died in tragic crash. Senna wanted to honour him as Austrian flag was found in his car...
It was such wild and such dangerous times in F1. And despite that safety level since improved unbeleavable, we still have tragic crashes happening...

I couldn't watch him live unfortunately but I would have really liked to. He is considered as one of the special drivers in F1 history. One of the legends.  Smiley

I watched the replays of some races in those times and realized how difficult job the drivers had. Because there was no technology like today. No HALO and no other strong security measures for the safety of drivers. It is really sad to lose a great driver like Senna in a racing accident.  Sad  These days thankfully races are prevented from being deadly ones at a high rate. I hope the number of deaths would go down to 0 in this sport.

and now it is official, Adrian Newey will leave the team in 2025, confirmed by Redbull.
The date is not great, it should have some pause time after the expiration of the cotnract so I don't think he will able to work on the 2026 car.

Anyway where do you think he will go? according to media Ferrari is in pole position.

Yeah it has been confirmed that he is leaving quite earlier than the expectations.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/may/01/red-bull-confirm-celebrated-car-designer-adrian-newey-to-leave-f1-team

I believe Ferrari will reach an agreement with him soon. It is already said that the negotiations are expected to start after the Miami Grand Prix. It would be a wonderful deal for the Tifosi.  Grin  Bright times might not be that far away from Ferrari after this news. I hope Newey would be given an active role to design the best car on the grid.

By the way it looks like the previous images I shared were false alarm.  Tongue  Ferrari is going to have the livery below for the upcoming race.

So it's confirmed that Nevwy will leave Red Bull? well, this is quite surprising news, after Hamilton's departure from Mercedes - because if you look at the internal chaos at Red Bull, it has been quite heated in recent times, so Nevwy's decision to leave Red Bull is the right one. However, the question of whether he will choose Ferrari or not as his new team is still a mystery, because if he really chooses Ferrari as his new team, that would be very good news for Ferrari and I as a Ferrari fan would be very happy with that. Hopefully he can choose Ferrari as his new team.

Yes, that exists...The current agreement between Red Bull and Newey runs until the end of 2025, however there is still a so-called grace period, which prevents the immediate hiring of employees from other teams.

And with Newey's early departure, a lot is expected to change in F1, as the engineer would be available to work fully on the new team for the 2026 project, and that year there will be a change in Formula 1's technical regulations, with the next generation of engines.
I'm sure that, unofficially, some partnership will be made this year and that Newey will already start putting his plans into practice to take over with strength and a "new project" pre-architected for 2026.

I have a lot of respect for Newey, I consider him one of the greatest designers of the modern era of Formula 1... he was responsible for Williams projects for a long time and was mainly responsible for the creation of the revolutionary FW14B with which Nigel Mansell was champion. Then, at McLaren and finally now at Red Bull.... in all the teams he left his mark.

With all the stuff going on with Red Bull with the infighting, they could end up getting none of Horner, Newey and Verstappen.  :/  Newey is rumored to leave this year and that means Horner is free to leave.  So if the team can't get Verstappen a fast car then he could be tempted to leave for another team, most likely joining in with Wolff at Mercedes.

I think the team that ends up winning in all of the shennanigans will be Ferrari or whoever could get Horner and Newey.  Hopefully Ferrari...

This is the scariest possibility for Red Bull, yeah.  Sad  With all of these names' departure Red Bull would be caught off guard and it might take them even a long while to get their current strength back.

They say even retirement is an option for Newey now. I mean if he can't agree terms with any team then he might even think of retiring. I hope that doesn't happen soon. Newey is a great engineer and it is great to watch the cars he designs.  Smiley  I also hope that it would be Ferrari to get Newey. I have missed those golden times of Ferrari a lot. With Newey's designs Ferrari can really be the number 1 team finally.

We are all waiting for confirmation about Sainz signing Audi, so, these news a bit unexpected. But logical choice, experienced driver who can give feedback about car for new team. Maybe he can even get his first career podium here if things will go as planned.
BTW, there is some rumours from David Croft that Gasly is negotiating with Williams, while Zhou can go to Alpine.

Sainz would be one of the luckiest signings for Audi considering how skilled driver he is.  Smiley  About Gasly to Williams, there is another rumour like Kimi Antonelli could start his F1 career by taking Sargeant's seat.

I was really surprised to see him racing again, last time I knew he quit MotoGp some years ago and I don't think I have confused myself as I was cheering for him when he was racing for Honda, sad that he never won a MotoGP title while he fully deserved it,anyway glad to see him racing again at his age which should be high now.
If what you mean is Pedrosa, he only exercised his wildcard quota this season and that happened at Jerez just like last season. So he (Pedrosa) is not returning to MotoGP but is just doing it for his team and KTM itself is also really helped by this because they can apply it to their riders' motorbikes this season so they can be more competitive.

Quote
Also glad watching Valentino Rossi, the living legend of MotoGP owning a team and cheering for Bezzechi saying "vai Bezz".The race was beautiful and I think if Marquez would have chosen a different spot to overtake he may as well have won the race. The fact that he stopped in the last lap shows that he is happy with the 2nd place rather than pushing more than normal and risking going home with 0 points.
Marquez is a rider who is very smart in taking advantage of the moment, because when he could potentially lose points by being too persistent, he prefers to secure points in second place for himself. So this can be said to be quite wise because 20 points is very useful for the championship this season. And in terms of winning, he can try again in the next race because this season is still very long and there are still many opportunities he can achieve with better targets.

Verstappen is a driver who every team would like to sign. While there is a 'crisis' situation at Red Bull things might get really serious in time. They are trying to solve the problem before it gets bigger but it is difficult to say whether this will end for the benefit of them. Verstappen made some neutral comments on Wolff's interest in him recently.

For now I'm just expecting Verstappen to focus on his racing. The contract rumours might be fake as well. News sources like to use a topic for spreading fake news for a long time in the end. But if this turns out to be a similar thing to the Hamilton - Ferrari thing then everyone would be surprised.  Smiley

Nah, it's just sports journos looking for attention.  They need to eat.  Lol.  Hamilton's contract with Ferrari is confirmed news.  I don't think anybody had a clue what was gonna happen..  Not even those sports journos who are spreading 'Verstappen to leave Red Bull' rumors.

Here's a hint to all you guys, if Marko leaves then Verstappen leaves.  If either Horner or Newey leaves then both guys leave.  :/  And guess who's more likely to leave...  Marko or Newey?  Wink

Thailand it was a city track for sure, for Korea I honestly don't know and I haven't read anything about it but it will probably be a city track.
This is now the fashion.

Edit: I just searched the internet and found that the intention is to do a street circuit in the city of Incheon.

It must be said that however some street circuits are not bad like the Arab one or the one in Baku, while others are terrible like Monaco or Valencia (fortunately removed)
