After the big news that Hamilton will join Ferrari, now we have something even much bigger, which is Max maybe going to Mercedes as well. There are news about it if you google, and that could be just leverage as well to keep Horner in place.

Max as we all know loves Horner, and that means that he will want him to stay, so this could be a ploy to say to the team that if you fire Horner, then next year I will join Mercedes. He already won so many titles, and he is not the type of racer that cares about even more, he will have like what 4 titles this year? That's more than enough for him, he is not the type that will want 8th. So I feel like it could very well be something special if that happens, and I wonder who will get Red Bull spot.

Lets see how slowly and if Marquez can adapt to the Ducati.

He may be able to win something this year.

I don't expect much more from Marc, he will still be able to fight for the podium in the next few years and for one or two wins, but I think the changeover to the Ducati will take too long to become world champion again.

I also don't think that other teams will have a chance to win this season after seeing Ducati's speed during pre-season testing and there is news circulating that Bagnaia will be able to win again this season like last season. Ducati will increase Bagnaia's salary next season to a number which is quite fantastic in my opinion, because this is certainly quite reasonable considering Bagnaia's potential on the Ducati motorbike which has been known for being fast over the years.

Bagnaia has done very well in the tests, almost frightening (even the second factory Ducati) for the competition. But the contract has already been signed and the salary will suit Bagnaia, I don't think it will be raised again after the contract is signed, there will be bonuses for victories and the world championship title.

Biggest loser in this rwce was Leclerc.

why? he did an amazing job considering he got problems with brakes since the start.

It is an unusual problem and Brembo is already investigating the problem.

That he did but still the biggest loser given the result of the race.  I was thinking he could get to the podium instead of Perez.  But I guess it's better to move on and focus on the next race.  Leclerc is as good as at least second place barring any technical issues.

After 3 days of investigations in Ferrari they haven't figured out yet what caused the problems on brakes for Leclerc.

Let's hope they find out before this weekend for the race.

The new MotoGP season finally starts in a few days, and just in time for the start of the new season, Bagnaia has extended his contract with Ducati by 2 years until 2026.

Bagnaia and Ducati sign two-year

This season, however, it looks like the title will only go to a Ducati after the test rides, as the other teams seem to have little chance.

Meanwhile , the RedBull drama story since to go on as Joe Verstappen name was mentioned in a Dutch paper but also some online news and the reason would be that Max might be next driver of Mercedes when the new regulation will hit because Joe doesn't trust Horner anymore ... . I won't be shocked to see more and more details about this internal fight that Redbull has within the shadows.

Yeah, I have also seen it on Motorsport website. Jos Verstappen doesn't want to see Horner at Red Bull anymore. If Horner doesn't leave at some point it is really possible to see Verstappen switching to Mercedes even next year.  Shocked  It would be a huge challenge for Verstappen if this really happens. Because you know there is a huge gap between Mercedes and Red Bull now.  Smiley

There is a possibility like Helmut Marko and Adrian Newey could leave together also. This technically means Horner would also leave considering the condition existing on his contract.

For now Toto Wolff doesn't want to rush anything about a driver decision.

At this point I see that Sainz and Leclerc seem to be in quite a heated competition. You can see how Sainz did several overtakes which could endanger Leclerc and vice versa. I noticed that Sainz didn't seem very happy with Ferrari's treatment of him, but that's how it is. And it was very unlucky for Leclerc because he had to experience problems with his braking. Hopefully this can be an important note for Ferrari to pay attention to braking and aerodynamics.

And as for Max, we don't need to talk about him anymore, because I feel like he already won this season. However, it seems that Perez has started to build his confidence again, as evidenced by his good performance in yesterday's race. Well, congratulations to him.

I also think the same. He did a brilliant job with that poor Ferrari and by no means , he finished 4th and lost a podium just because of his brakes problems.

Biggest loser in this rwce was Leclerc.  I like the guy but he needs to have some grit and be an asshole on the grid or he'll keep losing his spot...  And in this race, he was losing to his own team mate Carlos Sainz.  It's prolly cos Sainz mad because he was thrown out of the team.  Lol.

Anyway here are the results of the race.  And would you guys think Ricciardo would've passed Magnusen if Tsunoda allowed Ricciardo to pass him earlier?

2024 F1 Bahrain GP Race Results

Max Verstappen   1:31:44.742
Sergio Perez   +22.457s
Carlos Sainz   +25.110s
Charles Leclerc   +39.669s
George Russell   +46.788s
Lando Norris   +48.458s
Lewis Hamilton   +50.324s
Oscar Piastri   +56.082s
Fernando Alonso  +74.887s
Lance Stroll   +93.216s
Zhou Guanyu   +1 lap
Kevin Magnussen  +1 lap
Daniel Ricciardo   +1 lap
Yuki Tsunoda   +1 lap
Alexander Albon  +1 lap
Nico Hulkenberg  +1 lap
Esteban Ocon   +1 lap
Pierre Gasly   +1 lap
Valtteri Bottas   +1 lap
Logan Sargeant +2 laps

He was very disappointed from what I have seen in the post race interview for Sky Sport where he claimed that it was a good thing that we managed to bring the car to the end of the race yet I had difficulties in curve 9-10 where every time I had to improvise and do a different thing in order to get some brake balance as it was a different thing every time.I was expecting a lot as we had time to prepare the car for the first race yet we were slowed down a lot because of this braking balance during all the race,it is not the real pace of the car as it is much more but we were slowed down, ended his statement Leclerc.

It was a very smooth win by Verstappen.  Wink  This mustn't have surprised anyone. The surprising part was Perez's showing a really good performance in the race. I'm keen on seeing it more from him to consolidate his place in his seat also. The disappointing part was obviously Leclerc's having a poorer result than the expectations.   Sad

His car was just so problematic and the team couldn't find a solution to the front tyre lock up problem for a long time. This cost Leclerc too much and he had to do an early pit...

I hope this season also doesn't go on like this for Leclerc. He is just so unlucky.

Another demonstration of force by Max and RedBull and I think it's fair to say they should already give the title to him but also to RedBull. However , the battle for 2-4th place should be an epic one and my prediction is that Mercedes will barely keep 4th place this season as this car doesn't seem trusty over an entire race but they still have a lot of time to improve the car but the power unit itself I doubt it can be improve a lot.

They are still the best but their advantage is decreased.
Sainz ended at 20 seconds ish, while the past year in the 1st race he finished at 50.

Not counting Leclerc for the break problems or he could challenge Perez for the second position.

Looks like one of the most important parts about Red Bull this season (usually every season but more important this year) is that they focused on tire management. They already have the best car, that's not the way they can become better, there is a limit to how much faster your car can be and I can see that during DRS periods they are faster than any other car out there, so their peak is higher than everyone already. So they found tire management focus more important and this resulted with them doing as well as they can. Max basically managed to race the whole track around the same time for the whole race, that is unique while everyone else lost time slowly every lap.

Lewis Hamilton struggled greatly in the Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying, placing only at position 9. This was significantly far from his teammate George Russell, who managed to secure the 3rd spot in qualifying. Meanwhile, the top position still belonged to Red Bull's Max Verstappen. It seems that this season, Max Verstappen will once again easily become the World Champion. Other teams have not made significant improvements to balance their car's capabilities compare with redbull.

It is just a lap and who knows the real power of the cars which we are going to definitely see today a big chunk of the real power of each team.I think that Hamilton is already with his head at Ferrari and I am sure he can't wait for this season to finish no matter that it has just started officially,I am sure he is dreaming of winning a couple more world titles with that car so I can fully agree with this if he is really thinking like that, what I want to say is that it is completely normal for him to be thinking of Ferrari rather than to be thinking maximizing this season which seems difficult to get a world title.

Here are the results for qualifying.  I kinda didn't expect this after seeing the results from FP1 thru FP3.  I guess Horner and Newey pulled a rabbit out of the hat from this one.  That's the tandem Ferrari wants and it's as clear as night and day both are going there to help Hamilton win his next driver's championship.
