@cicciobtc. Yes they are equally matched in racing pace. But Ferrari won only because they had the advantage of pitting early, undercutting the Mercedes. If they were both compared on raw power and speed alone, the Mercedes power unit is a little better than the Ferrari.

these first 3 gp had different characteristics and have shown that there is so much balance.
Vettel and Hamilton will be played the Championship win until the last race. probably the reliability of the Car will determine the winner.

Engine will be key role for both of them,  but think that also pit stop will be key in this battle between these two.

@azguard. What do you think of the Redbulls, especially Max Verstappen? Before he pitted and lost his brakes in Bahrain he said on the radio that they were faster than them. I assume that would be the Ferrari of Sebastian. If he did not lose his brakes, at what place do you think will Max be at the finish?

Do you think the Redbulls can still bring a good challenge?

@cengsuwuei. Did you really watch it? Sebastian has won again because of making the right decision of doing a pitstop early in the race. In raw power, I do not believe the Ferrari is faster than the Mercedes on a 1 on 1 race. Mercedes' power unit is still the best on the grid.

Last season ws good pit decisions by Mercedes but this time seem like Ferrari made good research and good tactics preparation for this season think that they slowly regain confidence from Schumacher era when they didnt make mistakes in pit. But this season will be win win for both drivers only if they mess up or engine failure then it will be hard for other to reach up.

Slava Ukraini!
It looks that that fight for drivers championship title will be very interesting and this is what we waited for years. Hamilton got 5 second penalty but it was only him and his team fault. And still, Vettel was faster today even without this penalty. Also, Safety car helped a bit for Vettel. I'm disappointed that Ricciardo lost many positions after safety car left track, because I believed that he can fight for podium today.
Also, it's very sad to see Alonso in poor Mclaren car, he even can't reach finnish. I understant why he choose to race in Indy 500 instead of Monaco GP.

Looks like Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel held off a tremendous late charge From Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton to take the Bahrain Grand Prix and took the overall lead in the Formula one title. The 5 second penalty Hamilton took away any hopes for him to win this race.

After 3 races it is now showing that team Mercedes might dominate the whole field for another year. I speculate Ferrari will go down in performance and Redbull will improve. It will be a close fight for 2nd place for both constructors.

Hmmm...  It looks like Bottas has other ideas.  Cheesy  I was under the impression that Merc gave him a drive so Hamilton could have a partner who's consistent enough to give them a 1 - 2 on each race.  A stable partnership.  But it looks like we'll have another interesting season for Mercedes.

It looks that way to me to. First time this season I saw Hamilton to make mistake under pressure of team driver. This is gonna be good for rest of season if he continues to do this.

Sure Vettel and Hamilton are the ones that are here to take title this year dont see any driver that could do anything.
But i might for this race weekend expect maybe Red Bull to do something.

Not until they get their engine upgrades.  So according to them it's gonna either be by the Canadian Grand Prix or the Monaco Grand Prix.  And it's gonna be a process.  The gap is kinda huge between Merc/Ferrari and Redbull.  You can't really expect Redbull to suddenly be in contention starting at Bahrain.  That kind of thinking would be dumb.

In this gp there are extreme conditions with high temperatures (asphalt temperatures above 45° C).

Perhaps with these conditions, the Red Bull can be closer to Mercedes and Ferrari, but I am convinced that even this time Vettel and Hamilton will fight for victory.

Who wins the GP of Bahrain?

Hamilton     @2.15
Vettel          @2.50
Bottas         @8.50
Raikkonen   @10.00
Verstappen  @25.00
Ricciardo     @35.00
