Is anyone running Claymore's dual with eth/sia instead of eth/dcr?

if you live in a cooler climate, that's fine..the spacing between the cards will make the temps too high from where i live

from your experience : excluding the confort point , in the end do you earn more with claymore including the dev fees ?

The Claymore is more reliable than other miners. The stratum connection is also very stable. I end up getting more.

anybody using deepcool quanta dq1250? any comments?

http://www.deepcool.com/product/powersupply/2014-02/10_796.shtml

bought a brand new at a huge discount, only 145 $

5 year warranty 145 usd seems to be a good deal.

it is two rails  1 is 45amps the other is 65 amps

http://www.deepcool.com/product/powersupply/2014-02/10_796.shtml

click output to see this

AC INPUT        VOLTAGE   CURRENT   FREQUENCY
                      100-240V   15.0A   47-63Hz

DC OUTPUT   +3.3V   +5V        +12V1     +12V2   -12V   +5VSB

CURRENT(Max)   25A            25A     45A             65A           0.8A     4A
OUTPUT(Max)         150W                  540W      780W          9.6W   20W

TOTAL OUTPUT   1250W

so proper setup for more then 4 cards may not be possible or at least tricky

i've already gave this a thought, "combining" modular cables in +12V1 (45A) with an adaptor to pcie can still power another one gpu. also i've read in a review that +12V2 can do up to 75A

are you saying that a 1250w PSU can run a 4 GPU setup? of what type of cards? I have a seasonic x-1250 btw

i have r9 390's and 280x's , without undervolting, "stock and overclocking only", how many can i squeeze into a 1250w PSU ideally?

normally i would put 3 280x to a 1250w, i tried 4 280x in a 1250w but it seems like it's stressing the PSU, haven't tried 3 r9 390s there but i think it can run okay.

I'm currently looking at claymore , and everything seems to be available to control heat ! great !

I was using qtminer before because of stratum feature then I stumbled into Claymore v1.... months later v5.

It has a lot of switches and it should address everything you need to tune-up the dual miner, it mines DCR and SIA coins too.

Claymore is also quite responsive in getting new features in - in fact many cool features were from members requests.

Great miner, in my opinion - it runs very well and stable on my 390s, Nanos and 480s.

Have to really thank you for pushing me towards it.

I am hoping to get a total of 5 rx 480s and 2 r9 390's running over the next month all using claymore.

the Dual Miner Manager is also a good utility to manage ALL the rigs in one screen - thats all i monitor nowadays.

it's still profitable if i Buying VGA and start mining eth now ?

Maybe maybe not.

First question is what is your power cost?
Next question is do you have any parts?

Does anyone have stats, or have seen stats, of the RX 480 4GB variety? They're a bit cheaper, if you can find them.

its been going around they are 8gb models with a 4gb sticker.

im guessing the stats would be the same..

Yes big post about it on anantech.  You need to unlock it but the ram is on the card.

You only need Xfire if you game with it,not mining,in most cases  Wink

You may need to install the drivers for the second card,go to device manager & see if the 2nd card has a driver.

Got it!

Will try Smiley
