you actually want to generate your keys on a computer not connected to the internet then you can digitally store the keystore/json and write your private key down on a piece of paper and lock it up Cheesy

What is the safest way to log MEW among of these?
    1.Keystone File
    2.Private Key
    3.Connecting Metamask.
1, paper wallet - just print your privatekey and then keep your paper wallet on the safe place.
2, Metamask - that was adding more security layer to your wallet, I remember there is a lot of people are saying about they are never having any problem while using metamask to keep all of their amount.
3, Keystone - this should be the last due to the security measure is only pegged on your password.
I have been using metamask for a while now and I have never had any problem with it. It is an extension with a very strong layer of security and so far, I have never gotten any bad review about it, neither have I seen an issue with me using it. So far, I will rather stick to metamask than choose any of the other options.

All the above, keystore file seems to me like the safest unless you feel your PC is extremely safe, that is when you should be entering with your private key. I am always very scared to play with my private key anyway; maybe that is the reason why.

The most important thing is to always keep any of them safe; because even your keystore file lying anywhere is not good, if you cannot protect it.

I think the use of keystore / json file in MyEtherWallet is safe, because the use of this information is very rare in the hands of someone else.
So it is better to login using keystore / json file with password.

While most of people recommend using Metamask , I always use Keystore File I am just comfortable using it . But remember not being careful nothing will help you . As for the Private key it is a big NO for me . For decentralized exchange I just use separated wallet and move the token I only want to sell to it and after selling I move my ETH to my main wallet , same thing for buying just deposit ETH into my separated wallet buy the token I want then move it to my main wallet  .
I am really against using your main wallet into any decentralized exchange whether you using Metamask or not .

The most important thing is not to store keys in clear form in files like: my key, my data, etc. So that no one saw your data better than anyone else doing an archive with a password for these same data. Then you will sleep without problems =)

    3.Connecting Metamask.
You need to use metamask whenever you are using either private keys or keystone file, because metamask is an added protection for your private keys,it stores the private keys and will prevent these phishing sites to steal the keys,so if you are using decentralized exchanges, you should use metamask protection so you wont be worried about being hacked.

I am using Metamask, because it is giving me more protection. Keystone file is OK as well, just don't use your private key, because it is unnecessary risk.

Either of the one and two would be good, but it is better if you use metamask extension because it serves as an extra layer of protection to these hackers, phishing sites would be indentify and your private keys will remain safe if you use this extension.Metamask was created to store or encrypt your private keys inside the metamask when you are trading or transacting with these DEX or decentralized exchanges it is also recommended by the experts.

I will choose keystore file to secure MEW from your options. However IMO, using a hardware wallet with MEW is the most secure way.

I believe you're right, hardware wallet with myetherwallet should work great. Trezor and ledger are both good ones. but always make sure you're safe on your side first.

There is no safest method of using myetherwallet.  If you expose any of those to an unauthorized user, you'll lose your tokens.  Simple as that.  All 3 methods are great ways to access your tokens through MEW and are safe to use as long as you keep them secured.
This, the methods exposed by the op are all good but at the end it depends in the user to use those methods correctly, you may install the most advanced security system in your house but if you let the door open it is all for nothing and the same applies to wallets, even if you use a method that is not the best as long as you are vigilant then you are fine.

Although I know about private key, private key is a personal key in which we can protect an account.Nevertheless, Metamask is the best way, in which we can keep Token and coin very intuitively in an account. Therefore, Metamask is a unique resource for coin protection.

I don't recommend you to login using privatekey. If you mistakenly went to a phishing website, then you’d be given them that information. I use the Metamask. You don’t need you keystone file and requires a password to access.

I usually use keystore file to log in on my mew. well, myetherwallet is safe though but im not recommending connecting it to metamask.
why use mew if you use metamask?
If you go to the website of MEW, you will see that it not a recommended way to access your wallet

In the meantime, unlocking your myetherwallet via connecting to Metamask is approved by the MEW site. So I would prefer the last option

I am using mew for about 2years and i can tell you that using mew with private keys is good enough to protect yourself from the hackers, using metamask would be better because the privatekey of your wallet would be stored inside the mask, protecting these keys from the phishing sites and phishing attempts by these hackers,so far i dont enconter problems using these useful tools.

They are all risky to use. I'm using myetherwallet and I always keep and double check my private key. Sometimes there comes a confusion between giving your eth address or your private key. This happens to one of my friends. He was confused between eth address and private key. Instead of giving his eth address he gave his private key. First of all you have to double check any inputs you give to anyone especially in joining projects as it is very risky. One wrong move and you will loose your money. So you should be hundred percent sure when giving your information to them.

The MEW system itself, I think, is pretty secure. But here the user is not protected, because it has such property as to be mistaken and not attentively scattered by the information. So we just talk about different things

I usually JSON file, because private key to easy leaked the wallet.
And, MEW officialy not recommending using your Private Key to open the Wallet, you can try it Offline, Using Ledger Nano S or Metamask Extensions

I am using private keys and metamask of myetherwallet.com,and it seems to be effective because i have been using these two for my coins for about one and a half year and i didnt encounter any proble,as far as i know metamask will protect your private key from your mew it is encrypting yor private keys inside metamask while you are transcating with etherdelta or any dex or decentralzed exchange.

Of course, from this list you should select a METAMASK for keeping track of your purse MEW. Make 2 copies of the private key and place them in different secure locations.
