We fit no see the relevance of it to the stability of the economy at once now but make we tell ourselves the truth, as CBN announced deadline for the old notes to expire and those weh pack money keep for house begin bring them out shey we see how the naira begin get strength? From wetin I read online from the office of the CBN, the money in circulation deh below half of wetin e supposed be self. Politicians them pack money keep for house, waiting for the election next year. And that is why banks go tell customers to wait for cash when you want to make heavy withdrawal say cash never deh. We deh think say no scope but na true. Now enough cash don enter circulation.

When the current government announces a positive project, there is always a fake accountant posting incorrect figures on social media without a source to make the project appear to be a way to launder money. BTW, why are we more interested in the money involved rather than how the new project will benefit us in the long run?

We are more interested in the present, our political system is corrupt, but that should not prevent the president from doing what is necessary to improve it. A few months ago, our cost of printing the naira notes increased due to current world inflation because most of our printing is done in Asia, the value of printing became more than the output, and this was another reason we needed to redesign to reduce cost and make it possible for us to print it and monitor it.


The redesigned naira was not intended to put food on your table or make you rich; your old 100 will remain 100; the government only improved it to meet current currency security trends and to allow the government to print our own money. The governor is Godwin Emefiele, and his job is to improve the security of the note; it was a collaborative effort. You guys are incredible. Currency redesign does not create employment anywhere. If you are still waiting for the government to create job opportunities for you in this century, you will never be satisfied because the government cannot solve everyone's problems.

My qualms with the redesign of the naira is not even about the security purpose but how does this redesign help the economy? How does this design alleviate poverty? How does this redesign put food on the table of the poor masses? Does this redesign create employment opportunities? These are the main issues. A crucial question that must be asked is if Godwin Emefiele had been selected as the party flag bearer would he have considered redesigning the naira?

To be sincere with you guys, I don't think all this news are real because we all know there are several fake media all around Nigeria, and the global space in it entirety. And this one is probably one of them and we should not take them serious, in fact with the uncertainty of the cryptocurrency market, everyone is skeptical about anything that has to do with blockchain and digital currency, in as much as there is general adoption of Bitcoin and other coins by the youths not all are adopting it in the legal way, we have some cryptocurrency projects that are pour scam and those are giving the entire cryptocurrency industry a bad name, making people to become skeptical in adopting real blockchain projects and good coins like Bitcoin. I don't think, Nigeria as a country is close to adopting blockchain since the recent e-naira was not created to run in the blockchain and being the country official CBDC which was supposed to compete against other digital currencies like Bitcoin USTD or other stable and unstable digital currencies.

Abeg makes we put politics aside, the naira redesigning no be to change anything but to target two things which are, eliminating stolen and store away naira notes by corrupt politicians and other financial criminals and the second is to give our currency a new facelift in form of renovation. Please how much did the government say was spent on the project because I have searched the internet and I haven't seen a specific price that they claimed was used for this new currency redesigning. The news i only saw was that there is no official amount stated yet as what was used for the project , hence i dey surprised were you hear or see amount from wey you say wan mad you. I greet you my brother, when I first hear the story about central bank of Nigeria wanting to release a new design on the 200, 500, 1000 naira note, I no see am as necessary till I learnt that part of their reasons na because too many of the currency Dey circulation and away from banks, and money launderers and them kind don Dey save the money away from banks.

And when the redesign come out I also no too reason even if e Dey obvious that nothing much was done on the design but Wetin Dey mad me be the amount of money them claim say them use to run the redesign mata. My people make we wise up.
