The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the forfeiture of 1.982, 022, 84 units of Bitcoin worth N40million, to the Federal Government.
The cryptocurrency, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), belongs to one Alkali Naziru Tanimu, suspected of involvement in internet fraud, locally known as Yahoo Yahoo.
Justice Nicholas Oweibo, who made the order, also forfeited to the government an iPhone 12 Pro Max; iPhone 7, and all funds found in account numbers 0301510085 and 2174982616, domiciled in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and UBA Plc, respectively, said to belong to Tanimu.
Investigation suggested that the suspect was into dating scams where he poses as, and used the picture an Arab woman to defraud unsuspecting victims on the internet.

Now imagine the sleepless night wey this person don pass through to collect the N40m. I have always been curious as to what the FG, EFCC always do with the monies, cars and properties seized from internet fraudsters. Does any one have any idea?

I witnessed one in area command in my local government were high court gave order to police area command to market all d tins seized from Yahoo boys and bring the money to government account but the police sell all those tins to their relative with cheap price. Car of #10m dey go sell na #1m if u have the money with you cash. They don't use to send the real amount they got from those prosperities to the government account. Doing evil to get money from people this is what always end d person life, let us learn how to follow normal procedure to get clean money that will give us rest of mind in the community.

This Naija na drama full inside wella. My question be say, why Naija still dey borrow money when all the monies seized by EFCC and other agencies dey in their coffers? Also, e go make sense if all this money dey invested in a particular agency/organization wey go fit channel this money back to help those wey no get work, so as to discourage fraudsters from thriving, but e no be like so with them. The money don loss.
As regards this Nnamdi case, lets just pray for peace in the coming elections, because person no know how all of a sudden, he was released, then Federal Government still dey talk one kind thing wey person no too understand. Boss na where you see this one? I follow the link but I no see where the court tag him as a freedom fighter. Unless we don't want to be fair in our judgment, we all know that kanu is an enemy of this country. I mean how can you sit comfortably abroad and order some unfortunate and unpatriotic youths to kill our security men and burn government properties? Na so dem dey fight freedom? The likes of Kwame Nkruma, Gaddafi, Zik, Awolowo and many of African freedom fighters, na so dem do? Yes! Nigerian government dey fall our hands truly but whatever kanu is going through now he should go through it cuz he deserves am. The court says the way dem take arrest am is illegal but fail to pronounced whether him activities dey legal. I don believe say we are the architect of problem las las.

Appeal court tells FG to release the proscribed Leader of IPOP Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday last week but FG refused to do what appeal court has said.
According to analyst, there is different between freedom fighter (Nationalist) and a terrorist. Nigerian government tag Kanu as a terrorist while the Court tag him as a freedom fighter, or as a Nationalist. Upon all these he was tagged as a criminal and arrested in Kenya and imported back to Nigeria and jail. Upon hearing the announcement from the Court of Appeal, most people were very happy that there will no "Sit at Home" order again but since the FG on their part refused to release the young man for the Eastern region to have peace becomes worrisome.
And we all know how stressful and fearful it is at the Eastern region. So I don't know what should be the plan of the FG to still keep him when court has released him. Your view.
