One fact that is open secret and known to those ahead with the opportunity to     have studied the academic calendar in total, is that, should the strike had gone beyond this time, a whole academic session would be lost and it would seriously have an impact on the academic calendar.
However,  the intervention and pleadings of concerned bodies had an influence on the reopening too. If our President doesn't do the needful by trying to reach an evidential and conceptual agreement with Asuu, the strike will be repeated, thus affecting whatever programs government intends to organize in the coming days. i.e, elections and campaigns.
I am just wondering, Polytechnics nko? Dem just dey one corner dey observe as Asuu dey waka. God help this country o!

If federal government neva meet all their demands den why dem go wan call off d strike now to come embark on anoda one later again. Dis tin no make sense na, i no know why dem go wan use politics wayo for dis ASUU people and dem go fall for am. I been don hear dis rumour say dem go call off for 2 weeks to see weda FG go fulfill their promise but I bin neva believe am until now wey you clear d mata for here again.

Now as d mata be, if FG fulfill their promise now dem go still embark on anoda one later becos na so e don dey be for several years now. I just hope say anytin wey happen na for d betterment of d student at the end.

I dom hear plenty rumors about the suspension of the asuu strike but I take time read the news for punch newspaper today but wetin I see there tire me. Federal government no reach any agreement nor meet with the demand of asuu as per the salary increase wey dem dey fight for since, according to the information, the union just call off the strike because of the appeal court ruling wey dem been get last week and the intervention of the house of reps too also make them to call off the strike.

As we speak now, asuu say dem dey wait to see wetin our President go do even as them dom obey to resume work, dem dey wait to see if baba go increase the salaries of lecturers or not, my own be say I get strong believe say asuu go embark on strike again and this time, e go affect the apc campaign strategies because na next year wey election wahala go get head and trust me asuu go dey on strike that time.

Chairman, who you sell my post (vote) give? How I go only make two post chai (what a life) lol. Anyways it's good. As we no dey dey active that much again. E dey give me joy say we still get people wey dey raised the flag high. Make una dey try. Na small small we go reach that promise land e no mata how long e take. Sometimes self ASUU no deserve any pity at all when we reason how the lecturers deh take oppress students and press girls. Shameless and foolish lecturers weh full Nigeria universities deh make me vex each time I remember wetin them deh do students. Most of these lecturers no fit teach abroad self because they are below standard. Na to sell handouts and sleep with free girls make most of them enter lecturing jobs and not for the love of teaching. Both ASUU and the government deh craze.

I been don expect you to clear this air for a long time, but e good as e don clear the air. Some people no understand say allocation for merits differ and also each merit source get board wey dem assign him for. I no lie you, we Nigerians dey do well for this forum. We no dey lag behind, no need to dey always stress the merit things. Even all the names wey Agbe mention, apart from CryptopreneurBrainboss no body be merit source.
