Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies,  I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...

Fraud is everywhere when we start to talk about cryptocurrencies. In ICO campaigns, in bounties  and in new coins of course – all these areas consist weak projects and even knowingly fraudulent ones.

Actually I believe, if you would choose only the top 10 or top 20 cryptocurrencies, you can definitely avoid the scam coins, but also, consider, that new, hopefully not scam coins, are highly perspective in order to get high rapid profit!

Usually coin that to be scam is project that sell their coin by use network marketing and use ponzi scheme to pay the reward . Like all lending coin that only use ponzi scheme. Some project also can be failed if they does not get support from the community because less idea or the project is not unique.

Maybe it is yes that new coins are scam in recent days because many coins are coming but not listed in the exchanges still now. I remember one coin that is Synchro Coin still it is on hold after the distribution passed one year. Likewise, many coins in my portfolio and still in the same situation.

What is the meaning of coinmarketcap? I think you said that coinmarketcap is not to verify the coin. However its true but the main purpose is to list the coin which has enough marketcap to be listed there. And there we can see a chart and also the exchanger where the token or coin listed. So its not verifying whether the coin or token good or not.

i think it's isn't scam. just failed ico or the price got dumped by bounty hunter in early ico. it's not like they failed on purpose

Yes, we are having a great misunderstanding in definition of scam, scan is the deceiving on purpose, willingly, from the beginning of the project what if project fails, if they don't gather enough funds, if some obstacle appears, this is definitely not a scam. Just unlucky.

There is far too much of that going around. Crypto would be a better place if people saved calling coins scams for actual scams.

Too much coins means too much scam. With the way icos are launched lately, then scam projects will keep coming unless regulation comes in.
I also do not know which coin is a scam, and which coin is potent, but it looks like the market today has so many coin deceptive spawn is born. Be careful about our investment.

Most of the new COINS are now scams, and they can't keep their promises.

So we should do our own research before investing in COINS and avoid these scams.

but sometimes even when you intensively research the project and do all the necessary measures. they turn out to be scams after all

Some coins are created just to scam people. As an investor, your job is to guard yourself from these people. Look at github, look at their social media. Check all the ratings from any ico's website. Ask a question in their telegram group. Check their constant update to the community.

You're right. Most telegrams can detect problems. Also keep an eye on their github updates. Shitcoin never diligently updates their code.

It is not difficult to distinguish a scam-project from technologically stable, you need to analyze the opinions of experts and study white paper.

yes you are right some coins have a scam so you should see the coin you want to buy for more clear, lest you buy a coin that is not clear so that will make you hit by a scam. be careful with some current cryptocurrency.
