Hey guys, n00b here.

After "thinking" I was in the know with the scene by dealing with Bruce W, I got bent over and pounded by his scammy tactics this last week.  I thought joining a forum of the likes of this would keep me from making such stupid mistakes in the future.  I know the BTC area is still in the grey arena, and highly considered as rolling the dice.....I figure with enough info under my belt after some time here I'll be able to disambiguate the scams from the legit and learn more about this form or e-currency.

Regards,
Nerdy N00B

nobody can read the trashcan except moderators/admins.

Too bad, I bet it's more interesting than some posts Smiley

I would agree, but also, there are forums I cannot read as a newbie, that I have been sent from a moderator when I attempted to ask for help from the bitcoin community. Are there many that are locked?

There are no forums that are unreadable by just newbies, nobody can read the trashcan except moderators/admins.

It's in the OP.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.

4 hours waiting online and 5 posts is not something difficult to achieve.

Would be useful to have a way to PM without the newbie restriction. (Especially because ABCPool only allows contact via bitcointalk.)

Thank you for setting up this great forum. The rules and setup make a lot of sense. I look forward to posting more. I just set up a security on GLBSE that will IPO on August 16th. I'll post more info soon.

Great forum I agree.

Now it makes sense why I couldn't post on the other forum sections.

Will try to fix this.

I need only send a private message to someone, can you activate my account?
I do not have much to say, I prefer to read what others write, but sometimes it needs to contact someone via PM

Hi! where I should ask for support on this forum?

I can't reply nor post on almost all threads in the forum.

Thanks.

You were a newbie at the time of posting this, but you should be free of those restrictions now (4 hours, 5 posts).
