So we n00bs should not spam around this forum but in fact we have to spam around this sub-forum in order to qualify to be not n00bs .. uh ?  Roll Eyes

Haha. Don't spam, just pretend to be completely new to the world of bitcoin. Be smart enough to ask meaningful questions, that don't mark you as spammer Smiley Or start a thread, with a question that you really want answered.

I think the underlying message behind these rules is that a spammer wouldn't have enough patience to spam the old school way, using his/her fingers to type/copy-paste actual text Smiley)) The spammer mentality is to grab s much profit as possible without regard for the community.

By full filling these obligatory rules you show that you are serious about helping the community. Spamming will always bite in the ass sooner or later...i think spamming is directly tied to our karmic energy Smiley

It seems to me if you leave the site open in a tab the four hours trickle like no time.

That won't work.  The algo is smarter than that.

I wonder how many of you will head straight to the Lending section or try selling gift-cards as soon as you get out of Newbie status.

This is good info, but are these the only rules for noobs?

Maybe someone should post a locked sticky about the rules and best way to get white listed.

I pass the requirements and still cant post.

Sometimes it takes up to an hour after you met the requirements for your newbie status to change.

It's a bit inconvenient that you can't announce a trade when you're a newbie though, are there any alternatives, like a newbie trade topic...

You can just start a new thread in the Newbies section.  Everyone will see it there.

The standards should be higher.
Why? The capacity for meaningful discussion in the newbie section is limited. How would you raise the standards in a practical way?
