The standards should be higher.
Why? The capacity for meaningful discussion in the newbie section is limited. How would you raise the standards in a practical way? 
I pass the requirements and still cant post.

Annoying, heh. The mining pool I'm in uses a thread here for "support". But I can't post for support until I post here a bunch and wander around for 4 hrs. Time to find a new mining pool me thinks.

This is the way to go. With all the trolling, and more importantly the government entities threatened by the bitcoin, it is better to be safe than sorry 
Well, yes, but I made this account because someone requested me to post the transfer here, then I learn that this is only possible after being online for a few hours and by creating a few posts. I get why this system has been installed, but I'm merely saying that it is inconvenient for honest guys like me 
whereas somebody with wrongful intentions can fulfill the same requirements by letting his browser refresh every 10 minutes and making a few bogus posts...

You can post those here, then move it later, or make another in marketplace when you get out.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.
If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
