This is absolutely correct. I lost my first $ 3,000 in investing in alts beyond the top 200 CMC. I heard news about pump signals and bought them, the result was just being cheated and those alts all returned to 0.
Therefore, to understand the market, newbies need to use certain small capital to invest. Only after some time and experience do we invest in large amounts. Bitcoin is the safest investment coin compared to other coins.

Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn
If safeties is what we need to talk?then it is not only newbies are safe in Top currencies but also US who's in here for long time now.

How can you trust newly listed currencies or those shitcoins when you can invest in top coins that ahs been proven their legitimacy for long now?

common sense mate this is the place where long term investing relies, and that is top coins.

Yes top coins are alot safer, I lose tons of money trying to invest in new start up projects but now I'm in big loss, I hope I recover soon or someday, do not be like me, top 10 or top 20 coins are safer or just buy Bitcoin and Ethereum instead

not only newbie but for all traders it is safer to invest in altcoin which is old and has many fans in the crypto market
You are absolutely right! That's why until now I cannot perceive why some traders are hungry to invest on new tokens where in the first place there are already trustworthy ones existing Grin. Maybe because of being more volatile and easy to pump and dump? I am not sure either since I'm not yet a daytrader lol. But for now, if ever I will invest to alts again then I still stick with bch and eth.

Very true. The ultimate is that newbies should do their own research before venturing into the cryptocurrency journey. Even the top altcoins can pose a bit risk if they invest via a foreign platforms. Now, there are a lot of platforms out there promising huge returns yet not all can be trusted with your coins.

Altcoins must be set in the "top" class dependent on improvement and qualities. Bitcoin's market top was, IIRC, near being outperformed by ETH's years prior. In the event that that ever occurs, it doesn't make ETH better than BTC in any capacity.

A genuine model would be the computerized fiat. It'd have a market top of trillions - would that improve it than Bitcoin? I don't think so. A superior tip for novices is to stay away from the vast majority of the altcoins and perhaps center just around most created ones and BTC.

Crypto Market Analysis Platform Shows possibly matters with regards to unpredictability. In the event that you purchase a coin with little volume and mcap, don't be astonished in the event that it'll merit a fourth of what you paid inside seven days. On the off chance that Bitcoin can drop to half of its value, it will be significantly simpler for a less-known shitcoin to do as such.

When choosing a cryptocurrency for investment purposes with the hope that it may someday become a tool for monetary trade, there are some things to look out for and some evidence that sometimes it’s more prudent to wait until a market is established for a cryptocurrency.
Redundant Technology
Limited Market Interest
Low Market Cap
Limited Exchange Support

The most daring investors can purchase new cryptocurrencies at the initial coin offering
More established cryptocurrencies with a larger market cap
Promising technology
Those that are traded on a number of exchanges (providing enhanced liquidity)
Historic performance and recent trends
Volatility

Top altcoins is totally cool to inevst with but not guaranteed safety too. Even bitcoin is one of the famous coin can still be dangeorus and risky what more are those altcoins can pose some risk. People are becoming wiser now and ignoring the new altcoins that are joining the market. This is like a pick and play game, where you should be wary and aware of those picks. Money is important and you dont want to ruin it instantly. If your gonna pick an altcoin, then go for ethereum its the least we can see go down even for 10years from now.

for now, not only newbie but for all traders it is safer to invest in altcoin which is old and has many fans in the crypto market

This is no different than saying that most people who are new to trading stocks should just invest in bluechip stocks like Apple, Facebook, Google, etc instead of getting into penny stocks. Basically the top alt coins or bitcoin are obviously more safer because they have been around longer so the chances that they pull a 99% loss is slimer, however they are still possible.

One thing to consider is this. One time a few years back when BTC was $1 or so, it was also considered a risky penny type stock investment, however if you invested then at $1 you could of made $20K per coin that you bought. Hence this is the reason why many newbies invest in risky small cap altcoins. They invest little like $100, so if it goes to 99% loss they don't lose much but if the alt-coin gets a good exchange listing like Binanace and ends up going up 100x then the pay-off will be big.

I will invest on any of these coins instead of new projects, they have failed me too many times and I don't want to keep doing that, time to move on to old and top altcoins, they are dependable than new coins that only aim on cashing out
Investing in top coins doesnt mean of sure money. Its just that compared to new coins, well established coins are less risky and you have a high chance to profit if you follow the right strategy and mindet of an investor.

What important is you know how to do a research before investing because even old coins has risk.

Cryptocurrencies trading is somehow complicated investing in top 10 coins in coinmarket is not a guarantee of profit making I agreed with you on researching the market sentiments or behavior is the way out to making huge profits a newbie should just pick few coins make research on them and buy at low sell at high.

Exactly, sometimes it is unpredictable to justify the cryptocurrency investments, but investing's in top 10 altcoins will always have higher chances for the newbie to make a decent profit if they manage to hold a certain period of time. Top altcoins always have higher chances to increase their prices once the Bitcoin starts recovering.

In my opinion, projects based on the covid pandemic to attract interest are quite repugnant, their goals are almost not good and newbies shouldn't invest in them. The top coin is always a great choice for everyone, newbies can be assured of it.

If it's good for old and experienced members it's good for newbies too. It's not possible to be good just for newbies, as they start from the beginning with already established coins and learning about them they have more chances to learn about what happened before, how to avoid traps, how to check some project. The best thing in crypto is probably the one where each of us is free to decide in which project to support, with time or money, or with both if you really believe in.

Related selection of this top coin a good recommendation, at least they work and spend money and time in vain and have value. The development of the market situation and more hot news regarding finance also influences your decision making.

Most crypto investors just want to be told "what to buy" and don't want to actually learn how the tech works, or any real details on the coins they are getting.

That is just not how crypto works right now. If you are not prepared to do tremendous amounts of real research and make your own well-informed decisions, then don't buy crypto.

Learn the history, learn the tech behind blockchain. Study the different platforms in-depth. People that look for shortcuts end up losing their asses.

Yes, you are right with that. If the newbie doesn't know the simple rule in trading, which is buy low, sell high - he will still lose his money if he will not play his cards right. But investing in top altcoins is a better start to understand how crypto trading works. If he understands those coins, he can slowly proceed to other alts, but should be one at a time. Because it would be overwhelming if you follow a lot of alts being a beginner in crypto.

Investing in coins or tokens that are in the top ranking will make us more comfortable even though I think cryptocurrency is an investment asset that is quite high risk. I think that cryptocurrency will be increasingly recognized by many people and may also be an alternative investment that can provide benefits for investors
all digital assets have risks, but the top risk coins are not too high because the top coins are listed in markets that have high volumes, unlike new coins listed in markets that do not have high volumes, it will be difficult to take advantage

yes that's right, the top 10 crypto is a safe choice for investment for beginners, especially not fake volume but there is another option that is the IEO launchpad in binance there always ROI is also good for beginners
When you are choosing the crap exchange site to trade the top coins and you will be also getting fooled by the whales or exchange site. The fake volume comes to the crap exchange site and it doesn't have correlation with how good the coin is.
I think you should think for a twice about that.
