Yes, i think now is the right time to buy altcoins as the market favors bitcoin. If you look at the altcoins market there is almost zero momentum. Altcoins are dirt cheap right now so if you are planning to invest in altcoin i believe now is the right time.

I think it would be practical to buy some altcoins today but choose only in top 100 since they are great and mostlikely to spike high when the time comes and what i mean by next year.

Much better to invest your 30% of your funds on altcoins then 70% to keep your bitcoin since the value will rise after the halving.
