After the bull market of 2017 there isn't much growth experienced with altcoins. It can be the top listed altcoins as well rest of the altcoins. Very few exceptions showed growth that too happened for specific time period. From my experience there is no altcoin have recovered completely, and accounting the same investing into altcoins at the moment is truly the best choice for long term profiting.
we have a different perception. so far, I am still very enthusiastic about holding altcoins, especially if the altcoin has a very good development. for now, it's very difficult to compare that with 2017. but, I think there will be a time when prices will return to high. I think this time in mid-July is the right time to buy altocoin that has been popular .. to hold up its price rise .. because I observed already about 6 months bitcoin prices declined after the new year yesterday .. and now in the middle of the year when it will back up the bitcoin price.

Almost all altcoins has their own price movements especially the top ten where many buyers are concentrated. Litecoin has an upcoming halving this coming August 6 so expect its price to go up before the event arrives. Ethereum is upgrading to ethereum 2.0 so I believe that this awaited event might further boost it price. If there are important events coming for a certain coin or token, there is no need to wait for the so called altcoin seasons, just hold your coins till the event arrives.

I think now is still good time to buy some altcoins and hold until bull run, but can also be a good time to buy bitcoin and hold until mak profit or hold until new ATH.
