would be cheaper to use it  for the filecoin.

Since you guys are going to be buying tons of RAM and if the filecoin doesn't work out then maybe you guys can put your CPU+RAM to use by participating in this challenge,

From what I understand its easier to find the private key to a public address when it has a spent output, so the contest creator spent a few of those BTC addresses to make it easier. So if you got a system with lots of RAM you can help out by solving the private keys, its called Kangaroo something.

Just becareful installing any software you find in that thread that is not signed by some author, maybe viruses found in the original thread.

I have 4 sticks of 16 gb ram on my  threadripper  it can do 8 sticks

I would need 4 x 16 = 64 + 64 128 gb

check your the randomX ryzen miners...if your motherboard supports 128GB RAM

..might be profitable in the future.

all of the above has helped me not have a full blown asthma attack in more then 10 years.


I always look for good prices on the replacement parts.

I could rant about air quality for hours, but I don't.

This time I talked a bit because my wife never drinks never smokes never does drugs.

Yet she got very ill quite scary for me and her.

from what i observe older people have weaker lungs.

you can upgrade the air quality of a room by:

using air purifier with HEPA capability:
 - always get the bigger model of a product line up, the product where you think you can easily get the replacement HEPA filter and run the fan in slower speed (more quiet environment and good volume of air getting filtered)
 - since HEPA filters are expensive you can prolong it's life by using an extra layer of filter, my recommendation is a cheap one. like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO96IW/ref=psdc_13397451_t1_B008B7ZIXS - where you can cut and use duct tape to hold it in place over the air purifier intake (will filter before the HEPA filter), so that the HEPA filter will just filter the small particulates.
- use cheap duct tape too, you only need it to last until the next filter replacement.

my HEPA filter is still good after 2 years, i think it can reach three years. airflow is stil good and color is still not that "ugly dark".
-i got a 3 ply above the HEPA filter...peel the 3rd after it got dirty and the last two ply i remove at the same time.


the cheap filter which can be cut and can also be applied to a room AC (it's original intended use), so overall you get two air purifier in a room--in my room AC i got a 3 ply setup, the 4th ply is the small cuts that i didn't want to go to waste.
-in changing, peeling the 4th first, then the third..the last 2 filter i replace at the same time---my AC evaporator is still clean after 2 years LOL

anyway spending a lot of time in a room because sleeping alone is ~8 hours + computer time + relaxing time, making a clean air room I think is a must. in a house where there is a mining room that tends to move air around more, small particles will be moving around too.

@Phil: I use +75/100/125 core and +500 memory. Some weak 1080ti works with +75 core clock and 0 Memory, but some with +125 core and +500 Memory, the later gives the best results@ 210 W Power Limit.

I have just switched back all my miners NVDIAs (1080tis/1070tis/1060/P106) to ETC.

If ETC breaks the 10$ mark, I will revive my RX470/RX480 farm.
