I can NOT recommend most of their cards (or the NEW model EVGA stuff) due to their use of "fancy name" sleeve bearing fans and the resulting FAST FAILURES on those fans.
I'm more than a little ticked off at EVGA lately, as they're moving across the board away from their long-time use of GOOD ball bearing fans to JUNK - first it was the bloody G3 power supplies, now their graphic cards....
i got zotac 1080ti amp extreme..
i was successful at pulling of a fan which is not spinning (real time-while still mining), cleaned the sleeve brass like material and anything that has dark like material (oily--oil with very fine dust--looks like grease) with alcohol..apply a drop or two of oil, snap the fan back in and voila --spins like new hehe
i was thinking, it might not be some fine dust, it can be metal, just like how motor oil turn from clear to asphalt like inside car engines.
BTW i've seen fans that didn't spin for a month or two (gpu was still cool enough and i got lazy), it was fixed..the longest i've seen not spinning was the one fan on my zotac 1080 amp extreme, it was months (i didn't count) and i just left it not spinning, when i tried cleaning and oiling it was fixed.
fan speeds are 70-75
power limit ~75
