Hey come-from-behind, what kinda estimate on how many alias transactions will process in the first 5 minutes?

how many can the block chain handle?

say 1000 different aliases are requested in block 22001, will it be able to handle them? or will it space them over more blocks?

if you wanted to buy 100 aliases, and set the time for 10 minutes on all, would you expect them to fit in that time? or will the block chain take the highest fees in order?
ie

google 1000nxt block 22001
sex 660nxt block 22002
nxt 650nxt block 22003 etc..

can you don't set a deadline on your alias?

The deadline is for a transaction, not for an alias. Ur alias will never expire.

That is somthing I don't understand...how dose one sell/transfer a Alias?
Lets say I register 100 Alias names with my Nxt account, now I won't tosell google the google alias...what schould I do?
I could give them the pass to the acount but
1. I would still know tha password, so google would share the alias with me
2. I still have 99 other Alias names on this acount, I don't  won't goole to get those aswell

U have to wait when alias transfer will be implemented (if implemented at all, such a feature must wait for Voting System to be launched).

Ah ok, so for now its just geting them, then leting them sit and hoping for the best^^

Cool, thanks for the info Smiley

so owner of "google" alias may not be billionaires after all? lol Smiley

He still could sell it to Google for 15.000.000 USD.

Any way for users to know google alias is owned by Google instead of a random guy? Otherwise, people would not dare to use Nxt:google

Yes. But browsers must support this feature.

Edit: and hence Google would not pay 15.000.000 USD for it Sad

Isn't that how phishing links in emails work?

That's valid point. We should emphasize such possibility each time we tell how cool Alias System is.

Care to explain? I thought phishing attacks are mitigated by website owner instead of the DNS itself.

Maybe I didn't get what attack u had meant.

There is no difference between aliases pointing to websites and good old DNS (except decentralized nature of AS).

CfB probably means that NXT system would act just as DNS service here, if the website owner decides to do something malicious, can't do much about it, just like now the conventional DNS can't control website owners' actions.

I don't mean the website owner doing a phishing attack. I mean third parties. When users type in http://gmail.com, conventional dns directs them to google's server. If someone owns alias "gmail" and assigns it to http://gmail.com, users who type in Nxt:gmail lands up in google's server. So far so good. One day. he decides to change assignment of gmail to a gmail look-alike site to steal passwords. Of course careful users will notice changes in url, etc, but most users would just continue to use it normally. Isn't that how phishing links in emails work?

if at block 22000 100 people register their alias, 80 different and 20 people will ask for "sex", will it look like:

22001
- 80 people will get their different aliases
- 1 lucky guy gets "sex"?

Yes.

Or is there built-in features to prevent such abuse?

Maybe the same as conventional DNS?
