Well Afghanistan is not doing well right now. However things were worse earlier though. They were really struggling when they lost 2 wickets for only 15 runs and not so far 55 for 2.

Rahmat and Ikram made a partnership so far which can give some hope to Afghanistan fans.

more 10 overs a side leagues.

There is a lot of competition for the wicket-keepers role and as far as I know, Sanju Samson is not the most preferred player for the selectors. Among the youngsters, the top two choices are Rishabh Pant and K. L. Rahul (although the latter is an occasional wicket-keeper). Both represent powerful state associations, with Pant representing Delhi and Rahul representing Karnataka. Sanju Samson may rank third in this list (provided the selectors are no longer interested in Dinesh Karthik and Wriddhiman Saha).

Apart from them, the player pool is very vast. A number of youngsters are on the fringes, and examples are Parthiv Patel of Gujarat, Naman Ojha of Madhya Pradesh, Ishan Kishan from Jharkhand, Ankush Bains from Himachal Pradesh and Srikar Bharat from Andhra Pradesh. Among this group perhaps Ishan Kishan is the most promising one. But none of them got as many opportunities as Pant and Rahul got. And none of them seems to have any political connection unlike the case of Dinesh Karthik.

I am also surprised to see Sanju Samson still warming the bench and the team management is giving more opportunities for Pant to score runs and if he is not able to score runs against Bangladesh then it will be hard for him to be in the world cup squad, the team looks strange as there is no Jadeja nor Ashwin but Indian is playing with three spinners.

Bangladesh already lost their first wicket but if they are able to chase without messing up then they will be able to chase this total and Mahmudullah is the key player if they have to chase this total.

Never knew about this. Its a good thing that the players protested since it would suck to not see players like Rashid Khan in SRH etc. ICC continues to come up with trash rules.

If the ICC limits the players to two or three different leagues a year, then obviously the first preference for every one is going to be the IPL. Because that is where the money is. None of the other leagues pay as much money as the IPL does. For example, Sandeep Lamichhane will be confined to the IPL and the Nepali League (Everest T20). He will be forced to end his contracts with Melbourne Stars (BBL), St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (CPL), Toronto Nationals (Global T20 Canada), Nangarhar (Afghanistan Premier League), Sylhet Sixers (BPL) and Lahore Qalandars (PSL).

If the ICC does not restrict these players participating in these leagues then gradually we will see players preferring these leagues than playing for their national team and we will see a situation like football where it will be hard for them get their top players for only major international tournaments and the ICC must intervene and do something to preserve ODI as well, now they are trying their best to revive Test matches and there will be a time they will try to revive ODI in the future Cheesy
