Cricket management or the selectors feel that the former players who are more experience and will be better suited to hold the match in any situation. . But what young people are capable of doing is often overlooked. Cameron Green is basically a Australian bowling allrounder who got to play only 11 ODI matches in his career. Last His performance in the last Australia-New Zealand match impressed the cricket community.

The match was very entertaining. After New Zealand were set a target of just 233 I thought we might see dominance from the Australian players in this match. But the collection of the next 4 batsmen except for Australia opener David Warner was only 11 runs. Despite such a poor performance from the top order, the responsible performances of Alex Carey and Cameron Green helped Australia to win the match.
Australian management has a habit of retaining players despite repeated failures. When they give chances to youngsters such as Cam Green, they are able to perform. But in both batting and bowling, the selectors seem to be reluctant to induct new blood. Some of the players who have performed exceptionally well in the Sheffield Shield are getting ignored for national team selection. Henry Hunt, Caleb Jewell and Tim Ward are some of the promising batsmen who have shown their skills. Among the bowlers, they have Matthew Kuhnemann, Will Sutherland, Mitchell Perry, Mark Steketee, Nathan McAndrew and Lance Morris. There is nothing wrong in giving a few chances to these guys.

Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are once again proving that limited overs cricket is not exactly their stronghold. Lockie Ferguson is yet to bowl a single over and Australia has already lost half of their wickets. And this is a surface which was considered as one of the most spin-friendly tracks in Australia (Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns).
Australia made a great comeback with their 6th wicket partnership and won the match. They lost their first five batsmen in just 44 runs. Alex Carey and Cameron Green has made 158 runs partnership which was unexpected. The batting performance of Cameron Green have surprised me most. Although Australia was losing the track again after the fall of 6th wicket, but they have managed to get the victory with two wickets.The match was very entertaining. Australia won the toss and decided to field in the first ODI match between New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand scored only 77 runs in 20 overs. They scored an average of 3.8 runs per over. Martin Guptil `19 got out after collecting only 6 runs. New Zealand batsmen need to bat more responsibly. Otherwise, they will not be able to collect even 250 runs.
Jose Hazlewood bowled 4 overs and conceded just 7 runs. Adam Zampa gave only 5 runs in 3 overs. Australia's bowler's performance is very good today. Maybe the pitch is bowling friendly. I am betting on Australia to win this match.

It was incredible. Alex Carey and Cameron Green's partnership was phenomenal. They managed to collect 85 and 89 runs respectively. Australia won this match because of this 154 run partnership.
It is well understood that the pitch is bowling friendly. However, the batting of the New Zealand players was very slow at the beginning of the innings. If they could have batted a little better and set a target of around 300 runs, they could have won this match.

A very nervy win by Australia as they lost top five batsmen on just 44 while they were chasing target of 232 a serious matter of concern for them as their top order fail in last two matches they have to check their mistakes and need to bring better players those can perform better in these situations. Green is going to be golden boy for them as this youngster is achieving many good things which can bring him to the top of this game New Zealand's batting done much better in these conditions but still need more improvement as now we have short time in ODI World Cup.Kane Williamson improving his performance but need some more from him as leader new batsmen are also doing good for them but still they are having gape which happen after retirement of Rose Taylor.

So officially Australia has qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Now they have 100 points from 16 matches. The top 7 teams have 100 points or greater and they have qualified for the world cup. The 8th slot is still open, and as of now West Indies with 88 points has the highest chance. Ireland need to win two out of their three matches to overtake them. For Sri Lanka, 3 wins are needed from 6 matches. If there are no surprises, then West Indies should qualify as the 8th team, and Sri Lanka and South Africa should play the qualifiers.

Right now, Zimbabwe is not having any interest in this ODI Super League points table because they need good improvement in skills quality, and then they can do something better in future otherwise they will struggle for long time as they are already.
Australia vs New Zealand series is also not having any impact on these both teams rating or points as both are already in better position but third series which is mentioned here India vs South Africa is very important for visitors as right now they need to improve their rating which needs to win matches in India which is not easy for them as well as Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan is also very important specially after very interesting end of matches between these two teams in Asia Cup even format was different but still look like right now both teams are having same level of quality and Sri Lanka could be under pressure as they have to win these matches otherwise they are going into qualifying round.

This win over Australia is just a wave of fresh air, Zimbabwe still has long way to go. In last ten years they have lost too much. They also won series against Bangladesh which tells the story that they are improving. Right now they are heavily dependent on Raza, more players should jump in and take responsibility.
The Zimbabwean team has several talented players. If these players are able to perform consistently, the Zimbabwean team will be stronger. Wins against Bangladesh and Australia were not easy. The players of Zimbabwe have managed this difficult task. The Zimbabwe team will become stronger if corruption within the board is reduced. A few days later they will challenge Renownade teams as well.
